If trading down is the mentality (and it's probably a good idea given the number of holes and lack of depth) i really hope we dont end up with #1 overall. Just too hard to find a trade partner for that slot. 2 thru 5 would be a lot easier for a potential partner to deal for.

Aaron's astronomical single season numbers fit Jauron's "plan" and we know Jauron was enamored with speed guys. Jauron was a colossal failure without a real strategy for this team so he rolled the dice with gimmicks like AM. Maybin needed at least another year in college. Maybe the lightbulb goes on and he corrects himself before he gets drummed out of the league, he's got time to try to turn it around. But i blame the wasted roster spot that Maybin currently occupies solely on Dick Jauron.

The rules haven't changed at all. Crowning and spearing have been illegal for a while now. The only things that are changing are the possible penalties for breaking those rules.

For the most part OP u are right and there are very few left that would argue with your assessment, as the other posters noted above. The only thing i would take issue with your post is about guys like wood and levitre - gotta give those real young guys at least a little more time before trashing them with the rest.

And to be honest that preseason performance wasn't even that decent - but the haters were saying clausen was already better than any qb the bills have.

Actually i think promo was just providing an update to the knobs on the board who were bitchin and complaining about nix for not drafting clausen after he had a decent half in his first preseason game a while back. Just a friendly update so they don't forget.

No football coach wants his safety leading his team in tackles - that means bad things are happening up front. I personally don't think whitner is terrible, but i don't judge the guys and gals on here that say so. Whitner's earned 99% of the criticism he receives due to his average play/big mouth.

If it was just the voicemail by itself i suppose there is a tiny room for doubt. I'm sure vm's can be faked by some industrious blackmailer. But the first words you quote from him are "I don't believe.." usually that connotes an opinion, not a settled fact. Florio was just saying he doesn't believe the story coming from the Pats - an opinion. Given that team and its coach's track record, i don't blame him.

And out of the 10 remaining on the team, only 3 (k williams, poz, mckelvin) would get any sort of real playing time on any other team. I don't buy whitner starting on another team unless they were ravaged by injuries. Tack on a half point for Butler and we got 3.5 guys that matter out of 3 years of drafts. Not gonna cut it.

I hate to admit it, but napolian is probably right. The Bills "34" at this point is a 34 in name only. Even teams that run a true 34, e.g. Pitt, have their lbs in the the 3point sometimes. The bills have basically renamed DEs like Kelsay LBs and have them doing a lot of their same 43 responsibilities.
