  1. I guess you can now upgrade someone to active on gameday that was previously designated as out. I didn't know that either until favre was upgraded last week. Even if hernandez is out they still have gronkowski. You know he's probably pumped to play in buffalo today.
  2. WTF. Prima donna not "pre-madonna." Crooked. not crocked. No you weren't a D1 athlete they would've taught you rudimentary spelling. Merry Xmas!
  3. To be fair, new posters and infrequent visitors may be unaware of crayonz particular brand of, um, humor. WVU knows his stuff and obviously sensed his thread quickly spiraling out of control.
  4. So donte gets skewered here for what, not having 15 interceptions or whatever and still *gasp* trying to get as much money as possible. Even though he's a leading tackler on the team and the best SS we have. But kelsay gets a pass and deserves his raise for miserably failing for the majority of this season. Makes sense. Yes i am aware kelsay has played better of late; that's difficult not to do when he started as horribly as he did.
  5. Aren't those items the property of the student-athletes? It's a bit outlandish to suggest that the NCAA can hold these kids' eligibility over their heads and force them to keep these baubles they toss these kids after pocketing so much money off their efforts. If the NCAA is promoting amateur athletics they why are handing out conference championship rings in the first place? Aren't those awards most associated with pro sports? I know it's easy to just scoff and say "hurr durr dems the rules too bad durr" but sometimes it becomes necessary to examine the rules themselves.
  6. Yep right on. If the NCAA had any integrity whilst applying their "rules" then those players should be suspended immediately. But then Allstate and the network would flip their s**t. Can't upset the apple cart, especially when it's filled with hundreds of millions of dollars.
  7. It seems about the right amount for whitner, compared to others at his position. One of the more industrious posters could probably find more numbers, but i believe palomalu signed an extension back in 2007 and is paid 7+ mil a year. Antrel Rolle just signed a new deal and got about the same. (these are guaranteed figures I believe). Technically eric berry is the highest paid safety right now at 10 mil / yr (only about 6 mil / yr is guaranteed).
  8. Suspended half a season for getting some free ink. The NCAA is absolutely ridiculous.
  9. You mean 4 missed field goals. We saw replays up here too, we have the technology. It was a 50-50 call and probably wouldnt have been overturned.
  10. RW has said what happens when he dies. Repeatedly
  11. I get that but before delhomme imploded steve smith did put up elite numbers you can't deny that. He is a head case tho.
  12. Here's another: http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/news/Story.asp?story_id=20225
  13. Lest i look foolish? So you did do the search and found a report on the very first page of results from BR saying Buffalo (and Oakland) were interested? Well that seems to support my view, not the OP's. Like i said earlier, who knows if these rumors on BR and other places were true. But they did exist; you found one right away. So no, i don't look foolish, you added credence to my opinion. This is barely English. If you are criticizing my "prose" i must be doing something right.
  14. No thanks. You can exercise your chubby digits and type "mcnabb to buffalo", hit return and read any number of reports, rumors, etc. on the topic. Are any of them reliable? Who knows. But they certainly suggest the Bills had at least a passing interest in mcnabb in the offseason.
  15. Yeah, refusing to sign with the trading team would effectively veto the deal. It was widely reported that buffalo inquired about mcnabb and that mcnabb had no interest in coming here. The OP said nix didn't pursue mcnabb, and the reporting suggests otherwise. You can turn around and say "well, you don't know for sure" and "well you weren't in the room" and all that other BS. Fine, but it works both ways and in that case OP you cant really say you know for sure buffalo didn't pursue him.
  16. Your hindsight isn't 20-20. The Bills did go after McNabb. They offered a trade to Philadephia and McNabb vetoed the offer.
  17. How did a decent thread get taken over by retards?
  18. If it were completely up to him, he would've summoned Jesus himself down from the heavens and would've smote his opponents right there in their shoes.
  19. It's only one game buddy. Even Clausen threw a TD pass today.
  20. He had a few impressive carries to the inside last game against Cleveland, so hopefully those were signs of things to come. All the worry about Spiller is way premature. When he learns and becomes comfortable with his protection reads he will see the field much more.
  21. McFadden had turf toe pretty much his entire rookie year...
  22. OP, you say James and Lee "seemed to know where they wanted to play" right away. Excuse me but how do you know that? That seems like a pretty big assumption on your part and your whole complaint is based off that premise. If you have evidence that James was going to Miami or Lee was going to Philly the minute they went free agent then by all means present it and link it if possible. These players all sign long multiyear contacts, for the most part. How often in their careers do they become meaningful free agents with the chance to cash a huge check and actually have some control on where they play? Maybe 2, 3 times tops over the course of most careers. Seems like when that time finally arrives, they should be allowed to take their time and use the market forces to their advantage to drive their value up. And Lee didn't take that much less money to play in Philly.
  23. Who is hating Tmaster, you simp? Fitz and Orton are both relative nobodies who, when given playing time, can put up big numbers occasionally. Both can't win because their teams' defenses are horrendous. Both have awful facial hair. The similarities are endless.
  24. I agree with steampunk and others - Buffalo shouldn't scrap the 34, just build the personnel around Edwards' scheme. Which means that Kelsay will play, um, the pine. Great extension.
