I know you didn't and i don't mean to assign those opinions to you - those were stated in the earlier thread. Anyways, you are right about the values at the very top - hopefully that will change when the new deal is in place.
-
Alright, i'll play. I do agree the first 3 picks are overvalued. In fact, i think the first 10 picks of the first round are overvalued. That's a function of league revenues, and, in turn, rookie salaries exploding after the last tv deals. The actual player talent hasn't kept up with such a jump in 1round salaries, especially at the very top. Hopefully the new cba and rookie salary structure will remedy that. But again, you can't toss out the DVC as bunk, laughable, magic, liberal media conspiracy or whatever else you want to call it. It is not. Teams all around the league still use one and i'm sure they tweak their charts every year to more accurately reflect the talent that particular year.

Also, newera, you felt the need to start a new topic with your same stupid idea after it received no responses in the original thread? God you're petty.

And much as it hurts to say it, i agree with ESPN as it stands now. 1-Newton, 2-Dareus, 3-Miller. Not mad at all if those 3 picks go as predicted there. More and more reports are suggesting Carolina is leaning heavily towards Newton. Personally i have no problem with Cam being off the board when we pick.

I'm pretty sure neither i nor dre said the value chart is the only thing teams consider when teams trade picks on draft day. And the draft value chart posted on Espn and elsewhere is not the exact one teams use. Every team uses their own version of the chart. Actually I should say "almost every" team since you are right, im sure there are some NFL franchises that don't employ a draft value chart at all. But go ahead along with newera and post a completely ridiculous topic just to spitefully try to prove us wrong. I am not wrong, and the draft value chart still exists. It exist as ONE tool that teams use to evaluate pick trades. Again, ONE tool. No one said teams follow this thing by rote. Year by year, the players available change, as does the accuracy of the chart. No one said differently. But keep being idiots. It amuses me.

How much is 3rd pick worth?

If football scholars like thoner and jeremy think the draft value chart is "laughable" and "bunk" then don't even bother looking at one. Even if general managers all around the NFL consult the chart every year on draft day. -
buffal bills on espn are about to be on

Nix didn't say much. Consensus among the Espn guys after the interview was Miller. Hoge suggested Costanzo if Miller wasn't there at 3. -
That's a lot of awful, punny nicknames of players in a "serious" draft report...

Donald Trump is Hardcore

Holy ****. The issue is only "highly controversial" to complete idiots. Trump is a stooge and so are you. -
Jackson will probably be good for another 2 years or so. I've had my fill of high round running backs the past 8 years. I'll pass.

You're welcome. And in this country, yes Christians are the majority according to any religious identification surveys you would like to look up yourself. What do you mean by "stating something biblical"? Thanks for your response. Even though you completely ignored the parts where I explained that there are other reasons why some are wary of Tebow besides your "Hate Tebow=Hate Jesus" theory.
-
I don't think too many people hate Tebow. Most of the critics (like me) just have doubts on whether he can transition to the pro game. I have the same doubts about Cam Newton and other college QBs who run shotgun spread offenses, option offenses, etc. All schemes that don't seem to work in the pro game. That being said, I have and do give Tim credit for the performances he put on in limited action last year. He was better than I expected. But to suggest the Bills ransom high draft picks for him based on 3 whole starts- um, no. Seems the "hate Tebow because of his faith" excuse is a little played. You Christians are the majority - you can lay down the persecution complex.
-
If Tebow had a good "season", as the OP states, then maybe many of the Tebow doubters would change their tune. But Tebow didn't play a season. He started 3 games and got spot duty in some others. He sat on his ass most of last season. He's still an unknown and hasn't convinced anyone of his pro ability yet, least of all the current regime in Denver. And to say that Houston had a good defense? That makes me think the OP doesn't even watch football and just looked up Tebow's stats on ESPN.com or something.

Guilty. I'm also right, something you can't claim. -

Good lord. Has actually reading the thread and its replies suddenly become too much work for some of you before replying? -
Could anyone post a link to a report or interview supporting the claim that Buffalo was going to pick Tebow last draft? In any case, while I have never been a Tebow fan, I do give him credit - he performed better than I expected in limited action last year on a horrible Denver team. I also wouldn't knock Tebow based solely on Elway's lack of faith in him. The jury is still out on Elway as a front office decision maker. He may have no idea how to judge talent accurately. Marv Levy was a great coach; general manager? Not so much.
