Your statements are just small minded opinions, not facts. there's no way to discredit plain ignorance, only attempt to point it out to you. -

Of course he's going to play that card, it's the only one in his deck. -

I don't need to convince you of anything. If you can't wrap your mind around a few facts that's not my problem. You're a great example of a moderator by the way - still holding a grudge several months later? Very professional. Very mature. -

Coach, Buffalo is 41% african american, Philly is 43%. Buffalo has had dogfighting problems too in some neighborhoods. You just gave a summary of facts that have nothing to do with this situation. Totally irrelevant. Then you proclaim Goddell's actions fall into a "grey area"? Sorry, it's not a grey area, it's collusion, according to the standards of free agency operating in the league today. You should be bothered by this regardless of whether you wanted him here or not. Doug Farrar makes good points here -
Nice edit. Very smooth.

The anti-Vick sentiments probably had more to do with his criminal activity than with his race. You're always the first to paint the Bills' ownership and fanbase as a pack of bigots. Might be you're projecting your own attitudes onto the rest of us? Newsflash champ: we're not like you and are immensely proud of that fact. Now crawl back under your rock and craft some more flimsy stereotypes. -
(only kinda OT) the "U" is ScrUwed.
Zulu Cthulhu replied to Offside Number 76's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope some of those fanboys defending Miami actually take the time to read the pieces by Dan Wetzel detailing this situation at the U. This was institutional corruption going on for almost a decade. I'd agree that if all this was supported only by the word of some felon it probably wouldn't amount to much. But many of Shapiro's allegations are supported by all types of corroborating evidence - bank statements, 1000's of pics, witnesses, etc. And that is only what has come out so far - wait until the NCAA completes its own investigation. The picture with U President Shalala holding this guy's $50,000 check is especially precious. Sure Shapiro is a scumbag and a con artist. But he's staring down a 20 year federal bid and has little left to lose. He also feels completely jilted and abandoned by his former "friends." Spilling his guts now seems completely understandable under those circumstances. Finally, when Warren Sapp and Luther Campbell are defending the U, you know something went down. -

Props to Yahoo! Sports for investigating this. I know the NCAA has a lot on its plate with so many programs to govern and discipline, but this is ridiculous. A Ponzi scheme artist is a UM booster for 8 years, provides all these illegal benefits, and nothing from the NCAA? And it's not like the U had a pristine image before this. -
Jets offer Maybin one year deal.

Can someone convince Nix to send Kelsay over to the Jets too? -

BUST. Obviously a bust along with all our other draft picks this year and last. Gailey? Dumbass. Nix? Hillbilly. They don't know sh*t about football. Tim Tebow? Oh he'll be awesome just give him time. 3-4 years should be enough.

I don't use anything as a "ranking." i rank nfl teams on wins and losses and right now everyone is 0-0. So i would rather simply go watch my team practice and evaluate myself. You can whine and cry about what the gomers at espn have to say.
-
Only one thing more useless than power rankings...preseason power rankings. Use your own eyes if you want an accurate picture of how the team is doing right now. Go to a camp practice. If you can't, then read mike's reports from camp.

Tom Modrak thinks Michael Vick is "35 or 36"
Zulu Cthulhu replied to Charles Romes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fair enough, but Mike Vick is a little different than some journeyman offensive lineman. Vick's one of the most visible and high profile players in the NFL, for better or worse. Being completely off on his age says something about Modrak. -

Probably. I understand the argument saying Modrak doesn't deserve all the blame - certainly not. But as head college scout he certainly contributed to many blown draft choices over the last decade. Sure, desperate coaches like Jauron probably overruled him, most likely several times. Modrak should have done a better overall job scouting, perhaps some of those overrulings would have been averted with a better, more forceful presentation from the scouting dept. The ultimate blame still lies with RW, but Modrak's departure should still be celebrated. -

Getting Some Love from Peter King

Not a PK fan by any stretch, but I give him credit for being one of the earliest and most vocal Kyle Williams supporters. -
I don't think any Bills have suffered a groin injury yet...

I would enjoy Cuze walking up to any one of the few nicked up guys and calling him a pu***y to his face.

Donte got 1 of the 2 things he wanted: he got out of buffalo, because his BS had soured the entire fanbase. (i still think he was a serviceable SS, but what do i know?) He didn't get the huge salary he was looking for however - he definitely got less than what the bills offered him before he hit free agency. Maybe he looks at that new contract of his and learns a little perspective. Either way, i never thought George Wilson was a steep drop off from Whitner anyway. wilson is better in coverage and only slightly worse in run support.

For those that wanted Tebow...
Zulu Cthulhu replied to DreReed83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're right it is Jim and for that reason Spiller isn't the best example. I would say though that the one aspect of the RB position that is difficult to transition from college to the NFL is pass protection and Gailey has said that Spiller's pass protection was one area that needed work last season. That may have been one reason why Spiller did not receive much playing time.
