  1. I nominate OP for most tired cliches used in thread titles ever.
  2. I'd agree with the OP in regards to the Bengals defense - they're an underrated unit and have been for the past 2-3 years or so. Some issues: 1. College stats don't matter - Dalton's TCU record means nothing to this matchup. Stick to pro performance. He showed promise against a bad Denver defense, but looked awful at times against a better SF D. Dalton is an unknown at this point. 2. Jerry Rice and everyone else thought Green was the top WR in the draft. Not sure what you're trying to say with that Julio Jones point.
  3. I would never have expected Fitz to improve his accuracy by such a big margin so far this year. But OP is right - there are ways to improve almost any QB's accuracy. Better protection, as Jess noted, is a big one. Switching offensive systems (or simply becoming more comfortable in an existing system), i think, is another. Fitz is flourishing in his 2nd year in Gailey's offense. He is a smart QB and can handle the progressions of the spread sets. The passing game seems focused on intermediate routes and short passes to our tailbacks, which suits Fitz, who has struggled with deep ball accuracy. The better pass protection along with a Gailey offense tailor-made to Fitz's strengths has equated to a huge boost in accuracy and an avalanche of points. I'm on board, but am still curious to see how they perform against a great defense.
  4. Great points OP. A couple of things in response: 1. QB: If Fitzpatrick puts up a year equal to or greater than next year, I fully expect him to receive a big extension. If he regresses and the team doesn't improve its record significantly, he will be gone. 2. WR: Johnson hasn't earned more money until now. He has only taken over the WR1 job this season after emerging last year. That said, rumors are his extension talks are going on right now. My gut says Johnson is the real deal, so I wouldn't mind extending him during this season. 3. LT and CB: I'm certainly not convinced I want either Bell or McKelvin sticking around for the long haul. I see no obvious signs that the Bills are convinced either. I'd like to see better consistency from Bell and much better performance from McKelvin before paying them franchise player-type money at their positions. I know it would sting for yet another high 1st round pick to go elsewhere, but McKelvin hasn't shown the cover skills of a top flight corner.
  5. Good god. When did every other poster on this board become obsessed with power rankings. They mean less than nothing.
  6. Parked there for one game last year. Overall it is nice and exiting is easy. But it is lacking in bathrooms so when it gets totally full it is kind of a pain.
  7. I knew beer was good for something...
  8. Didn't see that but good call Senator if so. 19-0 baby.
  9. Sure he is. So says all the Tebow cultists. Poor guy just can't catch a break.
  10. I am not a Sully fan by any stretch either, but it's worth pointing out that he's not paid to be a disinterested observer. He's a columnist, not a reporter. He gets paid to talk about things from his viewpoint. He's not required or even encouraged to be objective at all. I can't fault anyone for hating his viewpoint, however. He's a sour, jaded guy. A suggestion: All you complainers could, you know, not read him if he infuriates you so much.
  11. To be fair, I don't think anyone predicted a torching like the one we saw today. I'm sure Sully will react with surprise, just like most of us around here have.
  12. final line - 422 yrds, 11.4 per completion. Not bad.
  13. I believe it is rookie debut by a QB. Either way, he looks mighty impressive. Newton is getting zero help from his running backs and still slicing Arizona up. Steve Smith looks re-energized. Kolb looks sharp as well.
  14. Game still being played, but Newton breaks Peyton Manning's passing yardage record for a pro debut (302). Newton has 323 and counting with ~9 minutes left. I'm sure Tim Tebow is better though.
  15. Just me or is KC's punter awful?
  16. Don't live in Boston anymore but the Harp is the bomb. I spent many a hazy night at that place.
  17. McGee is 5'9". Leodis is 5'10" and listed at 186. There's many shorter corners out there.
  18. Just stop. You've posted the same unfounded speculations for 10 pages now. We get it - you're paranoid. Take a deep breath.
  19. Who was that guy who beat us in sbxxv? Oh and who was that guy's son? Chris simms? Never heard of him.
  20. It'd be nice to just pick up homer guys and lose every game this year...smart
  21. What is the point of this?
  22. God OP...anything else you'd like to whine about?
  23. Meh, torbor was mediocre depth anyway.
  24. Excellent news. Bruise apparently came from a kick to the shin.
