  1. Just the most recent example of BB's arrogant personnel moves backfiring badly. Maybe Pioli was the straw that stirred the drink in NE after all.
  2. I completely understand the parents out there miffed that some lout was screaming f bombs in front of your child for 3 hours. It's really unacceptable in any public setting, even football games. But there are some security personnel fans can call on if things get that unruly. I've personally seen them chuck plenty of those meatheads out. I'm sure some feel that security doesn't do nearly enough, but trust me, calling on them during the game is much more effective than just lamenting about it afterward on the message board. Fact is it's unreasonable to think an 80,000 audience at a football game isn't going to attract some less than savory types. It's not just Buffalo. It happens every week at college and pro football games in this country; it happens all the time at soccer matches in Europe. It sucks but sometimes you just get unlucky and are surrounded by a group of idiots and the atmosphere seems much worse than it actually is on whole. Again, I feel for those fans, especially the kids -- I just take exception with these threads that always seem to devolve and indict the fanbase as a whole.
  3. Only trouble in my section was from the sloshed Jets fan sitting behind me, along with his girlfriend that was accused of spitting towards people. So no, bills fans aren't "that bad," they're not any worse than the drunk fans of other NFL teams. I'd second the recommendation made above and try to get tickets to the non alcoholic family sections if you plan on taking a younger son or daughter. There's a reason why those sections exist in the first place.
  4. If people are still waiting for Buffalo to get equal coverage with huge markets like NY or NE, or marquee franchises like Pitt, then all i can say is keep waiting. That said, a lot of the national ESPN coverage this week has been focused on Buffalo/Jets. Much more so than say, Chicago, which has a competitive team in a very big market. I'd stop complaining and just watch and enjoy the game with your own eyes.
  5. Buffalo Bill's! How can u go wrong? Address 250 Adelaide W, 3rd Floor & Rooftop Patio, Toronto ON Type Nightclubs Toronto - Sports Bar - Pub Phone 1-647-348-7090
  6. I'm with you CS, i'd prefer just talking about Tebow the football player. Unfortunately whenever that debate commences, it's not long before his followers fall back on things like his "character" and "values" and "intangibles" - all things that don't matter a lick when he can't read a defense or hit the broad side of a barn with a football. So you should probably take this up with those folks first if you're upset with people "slandering" Christians - which the vast majority of commenters in this thread didn't even come close to doing.
  7. GAH! This thread still has legs! j/k Anyways you're absolutely right todd, but the many in the Tebow clan simply don't want to face reality. As a lot of us predicted, many tebowites are already in an uproar about the offensive play calling. It's all John Fox's fault, you see. Link I find it amusing (but not surprising) that John Lynch, another supposed holy roller who (allegedly) cheated on his wife while in Tampa, is one of the first to come out and start formulating excuses for Tebow.
  8. So what's the point here? Is this just a thread where some of you can stroke your egos and point out that your season prediction is so obviously going to end up closer to reality than clayton's prediction? Are you 5? Wow you picked the bills to finish 9-7 modern day nostradamus. I called espn last night and told them to sign you up immediately.
  9. So clayton should be singled out and fired? What about peter king? Merrill hoge? Mel kiper? Mcshay? They've all made awful predictions in the recent past. Not really fair to single out clayton.
  10. To quote PK, MAYBE.
  11. My thinking on PK's thinking about attempting to think (and usually failing) is this: GM's, coaches, players all over the league are seriously regretting giving PK their phone numbers. I can just picture them looking at their caller IDs, sighing out loud, answering, and then telling King something, anything to make him go away.
  12. I suppose the entire "tebowing" social network phenomenon is laced with more than a little bad taste and mockery. I'm not as hip as I used to be, but it seemed the "tebowing" thing started as a riff on the earlier "planking" bit that was picked up by mainstream outlets like ESPN and emulated by athletes much the same way as Detroit players did their "tebowing" on sunday. Those of us here who've been debating here though can't really be held responsible (or in agreement with) the mockery that has resulted from TT's very public displays of faith.
  13. Many of you are confusing tolerance with silent approval. All of us are tolerating Tebow's various antics - his praying for field goals, his super bowl commercial, the eye black bible verses, etc. His faith displays are so public we don't have a choice but to tolerate them. What we don't have to do is silently roll our eyes and accept without criticism behaviour that some of us find incredibly boorish and unnecessary. People can criticize Tebow just as publicly - and shouldn't be labeled bigoted or intolerant for doing so. The idea that another's public religious displays should be "sacred" and above reproach doesn't jive with some that don't believe in sanctity or some other religious notion in the first place.
  14. If mangold is handling dareus, the bills won't line MD up on him all game. That was one of dareus' selling points - they can move him around the line if need be. I'll give you this - mangold is probably the best center in the league.
  15. Thank you! And such a nonresponsive, substance devoid, noodle-spined reply to it.
  16. That's some expert backtracking southgeorgia, i'll give you that. You even put "opinion" in quotes, for some unknown reason that i suppose you thought would make you sound smarter, more clever, or whatever. It's still only your opinion, however, an opinion which seems more and more unfounded by the week. As far as empirical evidence goes, how does 18 for 39 sound, plus a 100 yard pick six. Raw stats (not even meaningless college numbers!); can't get much more empirical than that.
  17. It does make much sense if you have any integrity at all. And calling his performance "pedestrian" is an overstatement. Again, you started this thread. I don't start threads titled "NEWTON!!!!!!" after every amazing performance he puts in, even though i'm a huge fan of Cam's. Just doesn't seem right on a Buffalo Bills board. Not really relevant, ya know what i mean? Either way, you clearly can dish it out after after a nail-biting tebow win over a winless Miami team, but can't really take it after an ass kicking to a team with an actual defense and something to play for.
  18. You sound less and less convinced of your own BS every post.
  19. Ask barbarian, he started the thread. It never had anything to do with the bills, except for the people who wanted the bills to trade for him.
  20. Oh will he? Good for you. Takes a big man to stick with his delusions.
  21. Takes a true man to admit when he's wrong, kudos. Much better than the tebow ballwashers who've suddenly gone silent.
  22. Good stuff. I just wish tebow was our quarterback.
  23. I like how you two suddenly get not so serious after timmy gets shown the f'n gate today. Got any more cute replies after you defended this train wreck for 5 pages? I didnt think so. And now.....? Silence from the tebow supporters. Good for u cowards.
