  1. So what's miami's record going to be next year with tannehill BB?
  2. Steven hill?
  3. Hate on the pick all you want, amateurs. Gilmore was the best available and you dinosaurs that say only linemen and QBs should be drafted in the first round, grow up. In case you've been asleep the past 7 years or so, they throw the ball a lot now.
  4. I'd agree Bowe is proven - he's caught 70+ passes 4 out of 5 years. But besides his monster 15 TD season, he's never scored more than 7. So i wouldn't call him a prototypical "scorer" like A. Johnson or Megatron. But you're right, the smart play would be to take the proven commodity over the unknown every time.
  5. I liked Dont'a Hightower a lot when the college season was wrapping up, now not so much. Seems like one of those guys without a true position in the NFL.
  6. Bleacher Report. Means less than nothing.
  7. It's still part of his college resume, isn't it? That's what u asked wasn't it? Since you were too lazy to look it up yourself?
  8. You were the one who asked "how much resume" Johnson had and KOK provided it. Now that the facts don't fit your theory you make a vague, useless statement like "hot prospects flame out." Calvin Johnson didn't.
  9. This guy pays $3,500 a month in support for each of those kids save one. $31,500 per MONTH in child support. He'll be broke within a year once his playing days are over.
  10. Looks like they'll begin shipping on draft weekend, the 27th. Buff will probably announce Mario's number around then as well. I had a hunch that once Nike took over the prices would go up. Kinda their M.O. I would wait until I saw one in person to see if the quality justifies the extra cash. You can't really tell looking at pictures online. It does look like Nike completely eliminated the mesh on the old Reeboks though.
  11. A draft "reach" is largely an invented term by people like Kiper and McShay in an attempt to justify themselves when actual teams don't follow their opinions.
  12. I think most would say yes, he is a talented safety. His conversion from WR makes that even more impressive. He plays with more awareness than Whitner ever did and blows far fewer plays, even though Whitner probably possesses more of this "true talent" you speak of. Buffalo also just drafted a young talented SS in Searcy, in case you forgot.
  13. He did say that, and he has faith in "Martin" Anderson, whoever that is. Pretty easy to disregard his whole screed based on those two gems alone. The reason, OP, that many are talking about a left tackle is because we just lost our starting LT in free agency. The reason people are discussing a WR at 10 is because we only have one proven player at that position. Both valid reasons. I hope that clears it up. And while the defense was a big problem last year, Buffalo made two huge free agent additions to try to ameliorate that. Kuechly would be a good pick, for sure. But don't completely dismiss and ignore the pressing needs on the other side of the ball just to support your preference.
  14. An idea so bad, so unbelievably unrealistic it spawned two dedicated threads. I wonder sometimes if some posters even watch football.
  15. He was asked the question, it's not like he just went up to Peter King or some other NFL reporter and volunteered the fact that he wants to deflower Tebow. I don't see the big deal. Besides, everyone knows it's Taylor Swift's job to pop Tebow's cherry.
  16. This is right on. I see nickel back in McKelvin's near future. Don't think he's proven himself anywhere near 10th overall.
  17. Funny how you think a RIGHT GUARD would be the guy to make the most "impact." Solely based on what? That he would play right away? There are plenty of players that will be available at 10 that would play right away. Michael Floyd would play right away and make an immediate impact on a WR corps with only one proven player. Kuechly would play right away and make an impact on a unit that, again, has only one proven multiple year starter. So your Decastro argument could be made about a number of guys who could be available at 10. Which makes it no argument at all.
  18. Read Kiwi's response. New stadiums = better and more amenities. Bigger and better luxury boxes and concessions. On site restaurants, museums, shops, fanzones, etc... All that extra **** adds up to more revenue for the teams and the league. More revenue raises the values of ALL the teams in the long run. That's how.
  19. Come on man, you really don't know the answer to your question? New stadiums benefit the owners and the league.
  20. He showed up in shape at the combine, FWIW. I get your point though - it could be an ongoing problem with him, especially after he starts getting fat checks.
  21. Exactly. And that was in 2007. He's had a couple decent years mixed in as well - in 2010 he was an effective redzone guy for the Jets with 7 TDs. But nothing suggests he has the will or desire to be a top flight receiver again. Even in that 2010 Jet season he slept through games. He's still on probation for the fight with Lebron's crew and is one DUI away from a lengthy suspension and possibly prison time. I'm not in the "character is everything" camp like others here but guys like Simpson and Edwards don't pass my personal risk/reward analysis. Especially Edwards, who looks like a bum inside and out at this point in his career.
  22. Great draft OP. I would still like to see an upgrade at cornerback. A. Williams looks very promising but his ceiling is unknown at this point. Not sure he'll ever be a #1 CB who can cover the best WRs in the league. I'm not as high on Florence and McGee as a lot of you. Florence was exposed more times last year than ever before. McGee might still be a good #2 CB if he can stay healthy, but I have very little faith in that happening. McKelvin, at this stage of his career, looks to be nothing more than a nickelback. He doesn't have the ball awareness on deep passing plays. He still may be very effective covering slot receivers on underneath routes, however. A better pass rush will help these guys, but I'd still like to see another CB taken early. Good news, the safety spots look like they're in good shape.
  23. Maybe corners make so much money nowadays because they're more important than ever in today's NFL. It's not 1966 anymore after all Bill.
  24. I don't have any secret recordings to provide you. But i have heard some player testimonies that this kind of thing was (and is) rampant in the league. Rather be cynical than naive bro.
