We should have a functional offensive playbook that utilizes all (or at least most) of the field before our mad genius of a coach starts implementing gimmicks and wrinkles like the wildcat and using roster spots to fill the formation.
Everything is assbackward as usual at OBD.

So the solution on D is to put a guy who hasn't produced in years at any position in a new position and see what happens? No. We go over this with Merriman again and again.
Ah, but you want to put Merriman at LB only in blitz subpackages? Something tells me opposing coaches would pick up on that fairly quickly.
Look, there isn't any magic personnel trickery to be employed here. The players just have to perform better (at their natural positions.) There's a lot of young guys on this defense; they may improve as the season goes forward. It has happened before.

Reid's reputation is so low right now I think many other teams would still take another shot on vick, blaming most of his troubles on the coaching.

I don't recall, I unsubscribed a few years ago because it was getting to be too much.
I opted out as well due to their annoyance. Never received a flood of them like the plaintiff claims though. It has to be due to a glitch as someone else above suggested.

If all he does is win, why aren't the Jets playing him? Last i checked they were 3-4, and could've used some of those patented Tebow wins over the last seven weeks.

This reminds me of Lindy Ruff's vague injury list each year for the Sabres. Would this be considered an "upper body injury" under that system?
All hockey teams do that, because all hockey teams have goons to dispatch that won't hesitate to target a specific injured body part had they the knowledge of what it was.

I assume the nature of the injury and procedure will come out eventually. Reporters (if they do their jobs) will keep asking until someone on the team caves and gives specifics.

If sore wrist equates to torn ligaments then yes this could have affected his play. Maybe the guy is really hurt and has been trying to not let his new teammates down.

Anyways i'm one to cut Mario some slack here. None of us know how serious this apparent wrist injury is. I give him credit for attempting to play through it and contribute to the team that made him the highest paid defensive player in the league, despite the training camp injury. Obviously it's not working out, but give him some credit for not crying hurt when he obviously is.
Many of you gave Fitz credit for playing through his rib injury just last season.

We are OK at WR, and our OL is pretty good. Other than that, we suck everywhere, especially coaching.
Our tailbacks are very good as well. I wouldn't call the WRs OK, given the fact we only have 1 proven guy on that unit.
None of it matters until the most important position on the team is significantly improved, and that ain't happening this year.
