  1. To answer your question... Yes I was impressed. He ran, threw beautiful soft spirals and has improved yearly. Of course having Marty Schottenheimer as HC held him back somewhat.
  2. The Bills were never down by more then 7, but never wanted to win the game or play with the Colts. Simply they wanted to stay in the game. If McGee doesn't pick up the fumble and Indy scores theyre and to start the third quarter, then maybe we would have had a blowout or seen a game. The fact was the Bills Offensive game plan had no interest whatsoever in playing a game and only hoped that AT would but a long TD run. If he was tackled in the redzone (like Willie Parket for Pitt yesterday) we would have settled for the FG. We never trailed by more then 7, thus had no interest to try and play. Then to top it off, we let Indy run out the clock. Perfect example was when Moorman faked the punt, we pick up the first down, then run for 6 yards, thry our only deep pass of the game and on third down run again for 2 and kick from Indy's 43.
  3. You're right no one has ever thrown an incompletion. He only threw 4 yesterday 9-13. I would rather see 15-40 and say definitevely that he stinks, then what happened yesterday, where the play calling was similar to some highschool team running the power dive.... Yesterday was pathetic.
  4. Yes a wonderful first drive. We passed 4 times that drive (1 interference penalty). We then passed 1 more time the first half. I give up... Who wants to watch this stuff... Anyone see how good some other games were today?
  5. Who cares... We would have been up by 2 if we made the FG with 6+ minutes to go. Indy had 3 time outs left and you don't for a minute think would have had at least 2 possessions to score? The sack was another example of the lousy play calling... The pass should have been on second down from a team that should have known they whated 8 points that possession, not 3....
  6. Never have I been so upset with a game my entire life... I have never seen a coach make no attempt whatsoever to win a game. Indy tried to give them a chance. Losman was 3-3 the first drive, we run on third and goal from the 11. Losman was 9-13... He held the ball when he was hit and the team did not once try and do a single thing. They touched the ball 3 times the first half and only threw on throwing situations if at all. I have never seen anything as pathetic. I can only imagine what JP is thinking, if not Evans, Parrish, Price.... The team had no interest to win. They Offensive Game Plan could not care less. There was not one. I'd rather have seen JP 15-35 for 110 yards and then I could throw my hands up and say forget it. Today was the worst I've ever seen. The coaching staff must think he is compeltely incompetent... and if so why???
  7. Exactly... Let's see what happens and make an informed decisions. I want no questions at the end of the season. As for sacks he has only been sacked 26 times this year... About the league average if truth be known.
  8. Can I repeat JP only attempted 15 passes vs GB, completed 8, had 2 easy drops. Add 5 sacks & 1 run. Got to get him in better passing situations, use shotgun, if he has trouble reading at the line and have him throw 35 times a game (league average) to see if he can do anything.... Let's make a decision about him. Trot him out and have him do what he is supposedly able to do (throw the ball on the run, roll out, throw deep....). We do not have Larry Johnson or Tomlinson as our RB, so please don't give me the crap ball control, win the line of scrimmage battle. How abour some excitement, some points and moving the ball, or realizing we can't and figure out 2007?
  9. I have not been overly critical of the O Line.... They are what they are. Can I repeat JP only attempted 15 passes, completed 8, had 2 easy drops. Add 5 sacks & 1 run. Got to get him in better passing situations, use shotgun, if he has trouble reading at the line and have him throw 35 times a game (league average) to see if he can do anything....
  10. No we play the game as they give us opportunities. We can do both. However if we are not running, we can't be afraid of the pass, especially short one's. They have one 11 sacks and their opposistion as in QB's have been mediocre.
  11. Only 3???? We'll then be free to comment on JP's mobility, pocket presense and smart play....
  12. Or only good QB they played against was brother Eli?
  13. 32nd against the rush. Like GB was 32nd vs. the pass. Almost every team has run successfully and thus I hope the bills can too. Problem is to this point we can not seem to bust a single run, which you would expect should happen once by accident. Anyhow Indy is 3rd vs. the pass. Included are Vince Young's debut where he threw for all of 63 yards and has shown himself to be iffy at best. Another was Byron Leftwich, now benched. Admittedly Brady self destructed or was made to look lousy. Eli Manning picked them apart the second half, Plummer was very efficient as was Pennington, Houston got some yards and Brunell did ok with a Washington offence that has blown hot and cold. Also note they only have 11 sacks this season. Please don't tell me JP can't do something this week, even if it is in a high scoring loss. Please Buffalo don't think you can't pass against this team.
  14. And all the JP bashers would be happy. Point is with 35 passes a week and 16 games, may be a decision could be made. 8-15, arguing over dropped passes and pass protection tells us nothing.
  15. I knew someone would use that stat. Of course having a huge early lead in that game 17-0 and 24-10 at half had nothing to do with it. Larry Johnson also had 172 yards rushing and St. Louis had the ball 35 minutes and ran 72 plays to 49. Why does everyone say "not with this team"? Is it our wonderful running game that scares everyone? Hey if JP completed those 2 passes I obsessed about his #'s would have mirrored Huard's. A weak argument.
  16. How about the deep help chose the middle (where another receiver was running open), maybe because that was where JP was locked. Then Al Harris was beat on a good play.
  17. The league average was 32 passes last week. Losman has averaged 26.5/game. I want him at the average. You do not manage the game when a run is called, you follow instructions. I can promise you should the Bills go 4-4 down the stretch with the same results from Losman, the debate will continue. He is completing 60% of his passes, is on pace for 14 td's 12 Ints, 2,800 yards passing and an 80 qb rating. We will have learned nothing....
  18. do you want him to make? I can't stand 3 yard rushing averages... I want 30-35 passes a game minimum (weather permitting) to see if he is capable of being our QB. Add to that the rolls and 3 step drops mentioned over and over. Average passes in week 9 was 32 (does not include sack and qb rushes)... Thus I don't think I am being pass happy asking for that many attempts.
  19. You are right and I also pointed it out. Just watched the replay and he definitely made the wrong read. Frankly I am not trying to give glowing blind support to JP, but I want to see a full game, lots of pass plays (i.e. Minnesota & NY Jets). I don't want a built in excuse, like playing in Indy this week (at least indoors). Better gauges will be Miami, Jacksonville & SD @ home (hopefully decent weather). I am far from impressed with JP, but want to see the season played out. I'd be just as happy to see him fail and go 5-11 and decent draft pick or 8-8 and see 3 300 yard games, better reads, less fumbles down the stretch. Is that fair????
  20. It was NOT tipped and in review was slightly under thrown. I taped the game and specifically reviewed that play on a 42" TV. There was coverage behind that was closing in and Evan would have been hit shortly after catching the ball. It was a touch pass, very few are thrown perfect. That was a pretty pass, but not perfect, but should have been caught.
  21. Great post. However the offensive scheme has been terrible this year. Need more movment in the pocket from Losman, shot guns and a chance to see whether he can do anything, particularly indoors against a so so defence (yes they beat Brady, but Plummer and others have shown them to be very mediocre). JP if all remaining games are schemed as Sunday will not have a chance to show whether he has improved at all.
  22. I love when people talk about the Tennesee playoff game... A miraculous game, where the Bills had 64 yards the first half, RJ threw for a staggering 10-22 & 131 yards fumbled twice and was sacked 6 times, three rushes 9 yards.... I think the fact that they had all of 64 first half yards and two fumbles and RJ still was out there the second half, pretty much summed up that something was afoul with Flutie sitting on the bench.
  23. And second pass to Evans hit him between the 8 & the 3. So what there was a hand near, the ball was not touched. Again an nondescript game. Have JP throw 35-40 times a game, roll out, run a little and make some checkdowns at the line of scrimmage and then we can make a decision. A game like Sunday is an indictment on the Bills as a team, not the QB. Finally 2 drops when you throw only 15 times is huge....
  24. I've defended his play vs. GB, blaming the bad passing situuations, only 21 passing attempts (15 passes + 5 sacks + 1 run) and two big drops on very, very easy passes that were 60 yards. Those unhappy yesterday, please lay out your exact issues and the situations. I'll start... 1st drive, he threw it away to Peerless Price, when Royal was open.... There it was a bad choice. He was under pressure and I should see whether he did any check downs. Anybody???
  25. And I went through all his passes in another post. I am not sold on JP don't get me wrong. But I'd be happy to see 30-35 passes a game and see if he has anything. 21 passing situations, 15 passes, 2 drops don't tell me anything one way or another.
