Looks like Pennington is done for
Stevie Ray replied to Mark Long Beach's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
[The message that Miller, Majkowski, Danielson, Couch and Buffalo Bills backup Kelly Holcomb would have for Pennington, if they were asked to counsel him: Take your time in recovering and don't try to play again until 100 percent rehabilitated. No matter how long and frustrating a process that entails. 460173[/snapback] Holcomb has it too? -
Now if JP can only learn to hit his receivers on stride, then we can seriously discuss this topic. Until then - let's watch his develop. You hit the nail right on the head! JP could probably thrive in a many number of offenses, but until he improves his accuracy, it doesnt matter what they're running.

No way San Fran, not after selecting Alex Smith at #1 this year.

Are the Bickering Bills coming back?
Stevie Ray replied to The_Real's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Media hype! We dont know whats going on inside the locker room, in practice, in meetings, in the stalls (good thing), etc. They could all be lovie-dovie at this very moment. We're being fed a few quotes by reporters looking to make a big deal out of it. I'm sure every team has these squabbles at one point or another, they just tend to come out into the open after a team has gone through a thorough ass-kicking. -
Probably meant his first receiving TD, as his first career TD came on ST from a fumble recovery.

Reading ESPN inside, I figure we lose Jerry Grey
Stevie Ray replied to NavyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Capers doesnt get offered another HC job, I'd say he'd take to MM as the boss very well. I dont think the majority of NFL coaches have a problem having to serve under another HC, provided they cannot find a head spot for themselves. Its a combination of: a) continuing your income b) being professional c) showing the rest of the league your skills so that you can become a hot candidate the following year. -

Best of luck Camp, keep on fighting!

Mentos definitely! And the worst one of the lot - the idiot wearing a business suit who sits on a freshly painted park bench, pops a mentos, and comes up with the 'brilliant' idea to roll himself on the rest of the bench to create an instant pin striped suit. Those Madison Ave. geniuses!

The only good thing about haddaway's performance were the chicks dancing around him. Other than that, who cares what he sang.

Why Can't Ralph Wilson Get a Partner?
Stevie Ray replied to joesz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not 100% certain but I think the rule forbids ownership outside of the market of the NFL team in question. -
Oh so cruel! Funny, but cruel.

Not doubting you, but are you sure Del Rio crossed the line? I'm almost positive he was EXTREMELY anti scab. The reason I say extremely is that I remember a piece by one of the network pre-game shows covering the players' picket lines throughout the stadiums across the country, and they showed Del Rio, either a Cowboy or a Chief at the time, toting a shotgun and daring scabs to cross. I'm pretty sure it was Del Rio IIRC.

(OT) CSI Finale - Tarrantino directed
Stevie Ray replied to CJPearl2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not that I'm a big fan of the show, I have caught a few episodes here and there, but I'm curious. A few months back I read somewhere that Quentin was directing the last episode and possibly Gil's character was going to be killed off in the finale. Did this happen, or did some other twist occur? -

Where are they now? : Ben Wilkerson
Stevie Ray replied to bobblehead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wonder, which is worse. Going to the Bengals or getting sucked into a vortex? -
Here's hoping I recall the important stuff: Logan agrees to getting 'assistance' from Palmer. The advisor (not sure of his exact position) contacts Palmer and gives him the "we need your leadership" schpiel, to which Palmer agrees. Jack is released from SS custody, the secret service guy admits he f**ked up the mission. Chloe was sent out on the field, to the house of the girlfriend of that terrorist, in order to access info on the guy's laptop. Of course, she's reluctant about going, and of course the agents that were accompanying her were killed by an assasin sent by one of Marwan's henchmen. She and the girlfriend lock themselves in the bathroom and escape out a window from an assassin, lock themselves in the CTU car which has bulletproof windows. The assasin proceeds to ram them in his car, Chloe gets a machine gun from the CTU car and proceeds to do a Rambo on the assasin. I think thats the gist of it.

I just have one question.....when Chloe and the other chick were locked in the bathroom and the guy's just about breaking down the door, why the hell didnt they climb out the window in the first place?!?!?

OT: My Dad finally lost his battle with cancer
Stevie Ray replied to Ramius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I feel for you and sort of know what you're going through. My wife was diagnosed last year with ovarian cancer stage 3. It was a rough year for the family and thankfully she has made it through with surgery and treatments, but the specter of recurrence hangs over us daily. How I hope to God that someday soon there will be an end to this dreaded disease. My thoughts and prayers are with you buddy. -
LOL! So true!
-
Not to insinuate he's a mole or anything, but where has Heller been the past couple of episodes? And not for nothing, but I wouldnt want to be an agent assigned to accompany Jack anywhere - they're all killed off!

Gotta disagree with the Peerless thing. I think we're thinking too much about the Peerless that was in his last year with the Bills than the Peerless that was with the Bills the years prior and the last two with the Falcons. I think the Peerless of 2002 was more a product of Kevin Gilbride's system. 2004 was the first year KG was the coordinator and we all remember how pass happy he was. On top of that you have Drew who also looked to go long and often, and PPs numbers were naturally inflated. I'm not taking anything away from his ability, but in this run first, control the clock offense, with a young QB, Price wouldnt be of any benefit, imo. I could see him bitching after 4 games that he only has 6 or 7 catches. Sorry, but I'm glad he's gone and would rather see an improvement in the other aspects of the offense.
