  1. What a whiney baby! "I always wrap it!"
  2. Ah, a sanity check. Thank you.
  3. Chuck Lester. The man has survived it all!
  4. resigned yesterday? http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/5242550
  5. I think you're right. I believe Cowher gave him the title asst head coach when he promoted Wishenhunt to OC, sort of to keep Grimm from leaving to fill another team's OC position.
  6. Good observation. This would allow TM to show that he is not an extension of TD and if next season is a success in terms of improvement, I could see Marv stepping out of the picture and Modrak assuming full GM responsibilities, as well as getting the title. If on the other hand next season is a failure, Modrak gets canned and a new young "name" may be brought in to be "groomed" under Marv to be the eventual GM. In any case, Marv seems to be a stop-gap.
  7. Seems my memory isnt all that bad: http://www.rochestersports.com/bills/daily/0131story1.html
  8. I think he had heart problems a couple years back. I remember reading he was hospitalized for a few weeks and Ralph visited him often.
  9. This pretty much reflects a post that Back In Da Day started a couple of days ago and he hit it right on the head. The problem here is that the organization (MM and TD) did not create an environment where Losman would be the unequivocable starter, unlike M. Lewis has done as some have pointed out. Instead we have a situation where he's given the job without a fight before the season, gets pulled after game 4, gets it back (by way of injury), loses it again (by way of 'injury'???), and now it seems like he will be competing for the job next year. MM/TD needed to commit one way or another, either stick with him come hell or highwater, or have him compete for it from the start untill he legitimately earns it. Instead, the situation has gotten to where the locker room is picking favorites, RJ/DF redux minus the nastiness.
  10. Hell, get 'em both! One can dream, cant one?
  11. Actually, I believe what you state is exactly what BackInDa Day is stating. Its the organization that seems to be lacking in patience. BIDD is saying that if this is the case, then OBD should cut the cord with JP now if it is more interested in winning a handful of games now, than trying to develop a possible QB of the future.
  12. There you have it - the cheapest and least disruptive alternative. I can see RW going this way.
  13. not sure, just vanished .... or banished, take your pick.
  14. LOL - probably was JP-Era!
  15. Good analysis too: http://www.nflfans.com/draft/
  16. Yes he did from the broken leg. But the same can be said about any player in any position suffering a broken bone. Didnt Milloy and Vincent miss extensive time last year? Would you say they cant stay healthy? The point is by putting it that way, you make it seem like he is consistently getting hurt and missing time. For it to be his second season, his first full playing season, and to miss his first game when its week #15, I'd hardly quantify that as "cant stay healthy".
  17. As far as I can recall, he only missed one game this season (saturday's) due to injury, and that was a borderline call to have him sit.
  18. I guess my point is that as outsiders, we really dont know what the true deal is. Unfortunately we are left to speculate based on the morsels fed to us by the media and try to piece everything together to come to a conclusion about the true events. Personally, I feel that EM was wronged, but I wouldnt say that I am 100% sure about it because again I dont have access to all the facts. What makes this whole thing suspicious is the fact that throughout his tenure, EM has been a virtual model citizen (as far as being a team player, excluding the spitting and girlfriend slapping incidents ). He has put up with the transitions, the losing seasons, took a lesser salary years ago, and restructured last year for the good of the team. And now this incident happens. Is he frustrated about his current role and about the season - most likely. Did he blow his cool on Sunday - probably. Did it have to come down to MM suspending him - no, not with what Eric has done for the team. Things could have been handled discreetly and promptly. Perhaps EM didnt want to pursue this (i.e. appeal) because at this stage, he feels like he'll swallow this bitter medicine, justified or not, knowing full well he will not be with the team next year, and he'll just move on. One thing to note - right after the game, EM made it a point to state that he did not want to be a distraction, did not want this to be a "T.O." situation. By accepting the 1 game suspension, isnt that fullfilling that mission? And lets face it, 93k is just a drop in the bucket for a guy like him.
  19. Isnt that being a little presumptious? You make some reasonable points, but it seems like this opinion of athletes and their salary is the base of your assertion that EM is in the wrong and totally deserving of the suspension. I mean, its like me saying that MM is totally at fault here because all head coaches want to assert their authority and if it takes making an example of a player to do so, then they'll do it, regardless of the real reasons behind a player's "detrimental" action.
  20. So much for "still being in the playoff hunt" when you suspend your #1 receiver for the game against the division leader.
  21. He should say that they have no heart. That is so obvious. A coach like Parcells would have no problem saying the truth. I've had it with the sugarcoating, tell it like it is and maybe that will light a fire under some players' a$$es.
  22. I'm getting sick of these ex- Bills all of a sudden coming out and ragging on the team. You'd think these guys were the ones who got us to the Super Bowl four times or something. No worries, Minny's gonna fall flat like they always do.
  23. So he can sh---can Bobby April again, the only coach on this staff showing some positive results? No thanks!
