my brother played football for Verdun in 1966 ,they used to celebrate touchdowns at games on bases by firing 105mm howitzers parked in back of end zones with blanks , what a rush! -

there has been some rumors that mckelvin will be traded draft day,if the bills are trying to acquire another 1st he may be the deal sweetener..cinci has a slew of picks but also a big free agent list of there own players, maybe their need at cb is a lucky coincidence. -
HE APPARENTLY IS RATED NUMBER 2 AT DE IN A 3-4,,, BUT I DONT SEE THAT BIG OF JUMP TO HIM AS A 4-3 DE ,,

WHILE I SEE your point of mid to higher level free agents ,a sure thing is a sure thing,, if they want to use free agency for additional depth your scenario is very possible. but if they want impact players in posiitons of need ,imo they make a play for colston not vincent jackson,,my reasoning is this.. colston is and has been a team player, jackson on the other hand is the team diva- prima donna,,, colston is a better fit, albeit smaller, but its a better fit, then line up at calais campbells and bring the checkbook, those two added to the starting roster and you have impact! now to complete my wish list you add paul solai for the d-line, the possible line combinations with drive offensive coaches nuts,, at that point the draft is all about linebackers and depth . upshaw would be my choice but hightower is a close second ,,after that vinny curry or micheal brockers if we get lucky ,, (chandler jones and andre branch are possible 2nd round picks also) it appears that the back half of the first round has numerous players that fit our needs ,its wouldnt be that unlikely that the bills move up from the 2nd back into the first for a need player, ,but free agency is the key.. in the past the scouting and personel depts at one bills operated like independent units ,this year we see if its a competitive period for us or merely a offseason event we watch from the sidelines saying, WHO? -

I D LIKE TO SEE IT IT,, KINDA LIKE MONTANA in Kansas City,, ,,the best part of that was seeing Montana being held up on the sidelines by the KC trainers after BRUCE ,PIKE, AND I think Talley CRUSHED HIM ,ending his career on Rich stadiums turf!!

I was kinda thinking same thing when he named PAUL SOLAI as mid level
-
at this point our free agent targets HOPEFULLY should be 1 CALAIS CAMPBELL 2 PAUL SOLAI 3 MARQUES COLSTON,,, ID BE HAPPY AS HECK FOR TWO OUTA THREE!!!
-
TOTALLLY AGREE WITH YOU, BESIDES can you see him running free because he has a good de in front of him or sliding into a de spot,, id like to see it..

IM HOPING YOUR WRONG FOR A CPLE REASONS..THIS YEAR WE FIND OUT .. nix and gaileys first year was evaluating ,,say good bye trent!!!. ,,last year with the cba i think most teams just were not going to do much,,but this year we find out the truth ,, if they go after some obvious need players then id say the last 2 years were as i stated but if they sit on the sidelines i guess it will be another sad season.i think as much of the game these days is the offseason as what you see on the field,, so under nix im cautiously optimistic for a change of thinking . its kinda curious to note that pegula ,sabres owner, bought a business (of agents) that represents players.what better way to see some the real costs in nfl ownership than to have access the players contracts..

The way i see it is we dont have enough olbs to play a 3-4,,, or enough des to play a 4-3.. gotta believe the bills are going to use fa this year to help defense as well as the draft.. still hoping they take a run at solai and campbell.then use the draft for two olbs ,then you play whatever because theyd have the personel to do it,,,imo.

Paul Soliai Likely To Hit The FA MArket
tombstone56 replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
CONSIDER IT WAS wanny and gailey that drafted solai originally, that and he has been after a new contract for two years and the fins stalled him .i exspect to see the bills take a run at him . hopefully add him and campbell to our mix. the d-line would be set for years. imo -
melvin ingram and jared crick

Im really glad that you DONT work for the Bills!!! -
the thing with m williams is conner barwin and brooks reed are playing great at olb,, m williams is a luxury itll take likely 90 million+ . so theyre asking themselves now ,is the money better spent on one guy or 3 new guy? would i take him here yes, but id rather have campbell and solai.

SAY HIGHTOWER VERY SLOWLY .. hes the guy imo.! but its a more likely scenario that its hightower in the first and ingram 2nd -
IM believing itll be either UPSHAW or HIGHTOWER.. no way hightower falls to a second . either way both players are being compared to future versions of lamar woodley(upshaw) or brian urlacher(hightower) ,, me personally id take hightower, you cant go wrong either one. imo. Or both, with cleveland and cinci having multiple picks this year its a possibilty that a trade back into the first is possible, itd take this years 2 and nexts years ,with a sweetener such as a 4th or a player but that could get us another pick in the 20s,,

WOULD LIKE THE CAMPBELL IDEA IMMENSELY!!! ADD HIM AND PAUL SOLAI ,,AND THEN WE HAVE A REAL D-LINE DAREUS, WILLIAMS, SOLAI ,CAMPBELL..AWESOME!
