All he showed me today is that he has a big arm, and that he can hit wide open receivers. He may very well be the #1 overall pick, but he wasn't impressive today, IMO

I was almost positive that I posted a reply in this thread. Anyhow, why would Edwards' benching cause one to throw in the towel? IMO, it was pretty clear that he wasn't the Bills QB of the future. I really don't think that the demotion makes a bit of difference, one way or the other, with respect to the long term plans of the franchise.

Couple of things, the Titans playoff debacle was in 2000. Second, Eddie Newman .... not sure if you're referring to Eddie Robinson (who absolutely sucked...if you get juked by Chad Pennington, hang it up) or Keith Newman (who was actually pretty decent). I'm not sure why Edwards being benched is any reason to give up on the season - he wasn't the long term answer at QB, so I'm not sure why his benching is a big deal, one way or the other.

I'm not saying that Johnson shouldn't have caught the ball, but there was a defender waiting to plaster him right after the catch. I don't disagree that Johnson is a dime-a-dozen type WR. He makes Jeremy McDaniel look like a superstar.

that was my point - although the ball should have been caught, it was a poor decision by Edwards. And yeah, Parrish was wide open for a 1st down on the play

1st was Johnson's fault, 2nd was on Edwards. Worth noting that the throw to Johnson was on 3rd down, and even if completed, would have been 7-8 yards short of the 1st down
