  1. no hindsight here. Read the shoutbox, I was calling for running plays once Fitz hit the pass to Nelson to get into NYG territory.
  2. you really don't think that those plays are lower risk and don't have a greated chance of being completed (hence burning clock) than what was run? Of course, there's always the chance that with new LT, and new OG, Fitzpatrick gets sacked and takes the game out of FG range. Not that something like that could possibly happen or anything....
  3. Against NE, Bills got the ball with about 3:30 left from their own 20. Pretty sure they're not going to run the ball into FG range. Fitz threw a deep ball to Donald Jones (said to be the Bills' fastest WR, and didn't play today), then followed it up with a screen and a short pass to FJ. 2 fairly low-risk throws. Absolutely terrible comparison.
  4. as Simon said, it didn't have to be FJ running the ball. Safe passes - screens, something short to Chandler - may have worked as well
  5. it was quite funny, Harbaugh appeared to have screamed after he shook hands with Schwartz. Schwartz said something, ran after Harbaugh and bumped him. They had to be separated - looked like a SF player (Anthiny Davis, maybe?) grabbed Schwartz
  6. haha...Harbaugh & Schwartz get into it. 2 meatheaded morons...
  7. just a minor inconvenient fact....
  8. OK, have fun with your memories of Jauron and Edwards. There's more than 1 way, other than throwing a deep ball, to "grab a victory" in that situation. Regardless, even if completed for a TD, the Giants have 4:00 to score - given how horrid the D is, a vistory is far from a sure thing. Check the shout box, I said to run the ball BEFORE the play in question was even run. No hindsight or "convenience" on my part.
  9. 21 designed rushing attempts today (not counting 2 Fitz scrambles)....
  10. what does Jauron have to do with anything? If Jauron is your point of reference for Gailey, you're really not holding him to a very high standard. Do you ask yourself what Trent Edwards would have done whenver Fitz makes a bad play?
  11. per Bills text, yes, it was his ankle
  12. I'm no McKelvin fan, but that would have been a really tough INT
  13. Really not sure why you're being so smarmy, but, IMO, when your defense is horrid, and you have the ball in FG range with 4:00 left in a tie game, the smart play is to run the ball.
  14. Did you think that the D would have stopped the Giants offense on the ensuing possession?
  15. did you think that it was a good call to throw in that situation?
  16. I have no faith that the D would have stopped the NYG. Yes, that was a brutal call by Gailey.
  17. Yep, I said as much in the shoutbox BEFORE the play was run. It'd be one thing if the Bills had a stout D, and the NYG were backed deep in their own territory, but the D is an absolute sieve.
  18. with the D as bad as it is, why would Gailey want to go for a quick strike and give the NYG the ball with time left on the clock?
  19. you should be used to the incompetence - Bradshaw's "TD", Roosevelt being drilled in the had after an incompletion, etc. People can trot out the same "one play does not make a difference" BS, but I'd have loved to have seen the outcome had the last of Florence's 100 penalties not been called. Or if the PI on the pass to FJ on the Bills' 1st series been called. Both were very obvious calls, but we know how that turned out...
  20. Also, as I said in the shoutbox, that series where Fitz took the offense out of FG range was the turning point. I'd really like to know why Gailey wanted to throw the ball in NYG territory on the 2nd to last possession, with the team in FG range
  21. Florence played possibly the worst game I've ever seen from a Bills' DB
  22. I seriously doubt it.
  23. did the same people who are taking offense to posters referring to Tebow as "Teblow" or "Teabag" get as upset as when posters here childishly referred to Losman as "Loserman" or "Lossman"?
