  1. Yes. Perhaps she was skating recklessly ( as the defense oh so delicately stated), but being run over by a car while skateboarding is hardly a " spectacular" way to die. If she really wanted to die, why not skate in the middle of the road? I'm surprised that Corasanti hasn't countersued for the damage that the deceased caused to his car.
  2. I don't want to play amateur psychologist, but I think that the Facebook stuff is a stretch. If the jury honestly believed that Corasanti did not have any idea that he hit somebody, then they got it right. Let's not forget that this was not a love tap - the girl was thrown 50 yards by the impact, and had her neck badly broken. I refuse to believe that he had no idea that he hit something, bull **** BMW soundproofing/design excuses notwithstanding.
  3. Maybe it's just me, but I do feel that there's a big difference between e-mail and text messaging. Text messaging just seems far more informal and buddy/buddy to me than e-mail. I do wonder what would have happened if Corasanti's kid had been hit and killed by an "Average Joe".
  4. I've been in higher end BMWs, and I never noticed this sort of soundproofing. If the car was that soundproof, wouldn't it be almost dangerous, in that the driver/passengers couldn't hear the sirens of emergency vehicles? Also, the jury would have to be complete idiots to believe that he could not have felt the impact when he struck Rice -- she was thrown 50 yards, fer chrissakes! I'm pretty sure that these dolt jurors would've believed Skooby as an expert witness, what with him being a BMW owner and all. As far as the womanizing, he was texting a female co-worker late on a Saturday night. I run my own business, and I don't do that. The womanizing rumor comes from someone I know very well who worked with Corasanti.
  5. He may be a great doctor, but this is now his 2nd alcohol-related offense, and he's rumored to be a womanizer. One of the things that irritates me is that this guy is a doctor - he's supposed to heal people, and assist those who are in need of medical care. He hits this girl, who's thrown nearly 50 yards by the impact (yes, Doc, you're very credible when you testify under oath that you didn't know you hit her ), and he drives off? I guess when there's no co-pay involved, he doesn't give a ****. Daniels did say that he was a doctor "24/7", though... Even if you believe the "more professional" (per the dumbass jury foreman) defense expert, Corasanti was travelling nearly 5 mph over the speed limit, around a corner, while texting, on a dimly lit road at night when he hit this girl. Oh yeah, he was drunk too. Can someone please explain to me how these half-wits on the jury acquitted Corasanti of the "leaving the scene" charge?
  6. the jury seemed to be blinded by the bull **** spewed by Corasanti and the defense experts .... are we really to believe that Corasanti didn't know that he hit something? I mean, the poor girl was thrown 50 yards by the impact. Also, the whole "soundproof BMW" bull ****...really? How, exactly, was Corasanti acquitted of the "leaving the scene" charge? I understand that everyone is entitled to due process, but I have to wonder whether scumbags like Daniels and Burton can sleep with a clear conscience.
  7. Paging Tom Burton.....here's yet another scumbag for you to defend.
  8. Ended at 6 pm EST, unfortunately
  9. No doubt. Also, Bubba McDowell is a gigantic douche.
  10. "The Comeback" is on NFLN right now.
  11. Should be a good time. Love the Bier Markt. http://bier-markt.com/
  12. yep, confirmed by Bills text.
  13. As always, Briere >>>>>>>>>> Drury. Well said.
  14. Yeah, Cordy is solid. TJ= Thelonious Josiah ? Damn, if only Buddy had traded up to pick Rokevious Watkins
  15. Love these names!
  16. If nothing else, his name is pretty badass
  17. Right, because what people say on a Bills message board is going to impact the team's play on the field. Admittedly, you rarely watch the Bills. Maybe you should put down the Pats** pom poms, watch more Bills games and then get back to me.
  18. what's worse: discussing the Pats*, or whining about those that do?
  19. hopefully, your next attempt at humor will be better than this one.
  20. Don't waste your time, MattM. The Pats** love on this board is just too strong.
  21. He seems borderline retarded, IMO. certain posters get very upset when members of the Pats** are criticized...
  22. rumor floating around now is that he's set on Georgetown. For a kid who's a one-and-done, why go there? Wouldn't he want a legitimate shot to win a NC?
  23. maybe there is no such thing as contract law in the State of Arkansas?
  24. most fouls called against one team in the tourney in 3 years. Waiters hadn't had more than 3 fouls in any game all year. Southerland had 4 fouls in only 1 game this year, and he fouled out yesterday in 11 minutes. The "charge" on Triche late in the 1st half was a killer. He made the basket, and the defender was in the "restricted area", which means that it should have been called a block. So, instead of Triche going to the FT line, to complete a 3-point play, the basket was waived off. And Boeheim was called for a T...4-point swing right there. Sullinger, meanwhile, f-bombs a ref shortly after being whistled for his 2nd foul, and no T is called
