  1. Excellent post.
  2. I don't remember this. Can you please refresh my memory?
  3. I'm willing to bet that he and/or the Buckster post on various Bills and Sabres sites. Pretty sure that Schopp posted as "maxsacne" on sabresfans.com a few years ago.
  4. His schtick is tired and old. When was the last time you read one of his columns and thought to yourself "hmm, that's interesting. I hadn't thought of that before"? It'd be like giving one of the idiots here a column, and having them regurgitate the same talking points.
  5. to me, that would be a great reason to stay off of social media sites. Gotcha. And I agree with your 2nd point. I also don't see the benefit for a player being on twitter.
  6. As I've mentioned, I like SJ, but I just don't see how telling fans that their lives are "miserable" is civil. Maybe he was having a bad day (or a bad 2 weeks) or something. Regarding the original post, his comments didn't offend me in the least. I actually found them humorous, which is why I posted them. I'm not on twitter, so I don't know how often people try to bait the players, but it seems like the players feel the need to respond in kind, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.
  7. oy vey, Stevie Stevie Johnson ‏@StevieJohnson13 I know most of "yall" live vicariously thru me; so when I lose it makes your life 13x more miserable than it already is. Well... TOUGH ****!
  8. too bad. I was hoping that Sullivan was gone for good. Gleason, too.
  9. Blitz? What is that?
  10. I do agree with your last sentence. No excuse for the defensive performances we've had to see in 3 of he 5 games to date. Historically bad efforts.
  11. Is the talent really there, though? Terrible LBs. I like Barnett, but the rest of 'em....yuck. At WR, a borderline #1, a rookie with potential, and a bunch of retreads. At TE, an average starter, a backup known for his blocking, and the great Dorin Dickerson. At QB, a below average starter, with poor backups. At CB, a couple of guys with potential in Gilmore and Brooks, one guy who can't stay healthy, and Williams. At S, Wilson has been a disaster, Byrd seems to be good every other year, and a serviceable backup in Searcy. OL is solid, although I question their ability to stay healthy. Spiller is a game-changer at RB, and FJ seems to have lost a step. He gets banged up quite a bit. DL is talented, I guess, in the sense that their individual reputations would suggest that, as a whole, the DL should wreak havoc. So much for that. I just don't see the talent that others see.
  12. at what point will FJ be healthy? I just want to know when the injury excuses will stop.
  13. looks like he forgot how to turn his hips on the play.
  14. how about the TD pass to Manningham? I didn't even see him on the TV screen.
  15. how do you think he's looked this year? how about the end of last year? IMO, he's looked extremely slow, with little quickness.
  16. How much worse could he be at SS than he is at CB? I don't recall having seen a less fluid CB.
  17. Jorvorskie Lane would probably rip off 100+ yards against the Bills.
  18. yeah, pretty much
  19. Agree. Not really sure why Jackson is basically exempt from criticism. Said it before, and I'll say it again - he's the Chris Drury of the Bills. Gets all of the credit and none of the criticism,
  20. Yeah, the Jets just have our number.
  21. That doesn't surprise me at all.
  22. Yep. Wilfork and Harrison play dirty - they go out to hurt people. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
  23. apparently, some KC fans cheered when Cassel was injured during yesterday's game. This was one of the topics on Mike & Mike this morning. After the game, Eric Winston went off about the conduct of those fans. Personally, as frustrating as I find some (all?) of the Bills, I would never cheer an injury to any of them. That said, I fully admit that I probably would cheer injuries to a number of past & present (EDIT: opposing) players (Brady, Wilfork, Welker, Bruschi, R. Harrison, etc).
  24. but, on WGR, he just said of the 49ers, "maybe we'll see them in the Super Bowl." C'mon, Stevie. He did say that the team didn't lay down, but that he was embarrassed at times yesterday.
