  1. I think that BuffOrange was referring to the fact that Duke has only won 2 games against tourney teams that were not played in NC.
  2. God forbid any Kansas fan critique the job done by the Selection Committee!
  3. game times: http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball...w;pageContainer
  4. rumor is that SU will be playing at 9:30 pm
  5. True - they don't owe anybody an apology for who they played in the ACC Tournament. You have to admit that there is a pretty significant drop off between Duke/Maryland and the rest of the conference, including the other 4 NCAA squads.
  6. therein lies the distinction. The ACC is not strong this year. Just look at the teams Duke beat in the ACC Tournament. Duke didn't even win the ACC outright.
  7. I suppose that's part of the problem - I don't really think that RPI is that accurate a measure of a team's quality. Looking at Duke's schedule, I'm having a hard time coming up many quality wins (I suppose that Maryland is their best W). WVU should've been a #1. Better schedule, better wins, better conference.
  8. haha...you seem a bit sensitive. I asked a simple question in the original post, which nobody could answer. If you perceived that as "whiny", well, I can't help that. Every talking head said, as recently as late afternoon today, that SU was a lock for a #1 seed, and that the "fourth" #1 seed was likely between Duke and West Virginia. Just seemed like a strange turn of events. With the S-Curve, yes, the rankings amongst a partcular seed do make a difference (e.g. the first #1 seed plays the worst #2 seed, the best #3 seed, etc.).
  9. Like I said, if you can provide a legitimate justification for Duke being seeded over either SU or West Virgina, I'd love to hear it. In any case, it's no big deal - just don't root for SU if their fanbase is so bothersome.
  10. Exactly. WVU should've been a #1 over Duke. Apparently, Boeheim has said that Onuaku is unlikely to play this weekend. With Triche contributing little to nothing, the 2nd round game - be it Gonzaga or FSU - scares me. Matt Bouldin is a nice player, as are Elias Harris and Steven Gray. Sacre is a big space eater in the middle. They can shoot the rock.
  11. if you can provide a legitimate justification for Duke being the 3rd overall #1 seed, I'm all ears.
  12. wouldn't be surprised if Siena knocked PUrdue off. They're not the same w/o Hummel
  13. Duke got the easiest overall draw. That's why it matters
  14. I'd like to hear the Selection Committee's explanation. I guess the entire body of work is secondary to the conference tourneys, this year.
  15. how the hell did Duke get the 3rd #1 seed over SU?
  16. thanks -- seems like a relatively minimal price.
  17. any info on what year(s) & round(s) the picks are?
  18. Tremont is a cool neighborhood in Cleveland. Some good bars and restauraunts.
  19. AO is day-to-day with a quad injury
  20. trade for Damien Woody
  21. IIRC, there was a bit of a rush to judgment regarding Corey McIntyre last year. How did that work out?
  22. tremendously weak arm, and he's a poor decision maker. Prone to flopping, after his experience at Duke
  23. the return of Rapelisberger?
