Rotoworld.com......interesting tid bits.....
marauderswr80 replied to marauderswr80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont know, I think Lynch is that RB that can take our offense to the next level.....I also think hes the best RB in this draft that fits the style of offense that Fairchild runs...... -
I watche Okoye against Rutgers, West Virginia, and he was all over the place. He didnt take one single play off in any of his games this year...... I think the Erik Flowers refernce could be made towards Branch..... But as for Okoye, I think hes going to be a good football player in the NFL for years to come.

I hear ya......I like Lynch. I look at what the kid does on the field. As for the off the field stuff, is it a case of wrong place and at the right time? Who knows....I dont think hes in the same line as Pac Man Jones.... Im a huge fan of Lynch......and I agree about the Peterson thing. Lynch I think is the all purpose RB.... -
For all you Lynch fans out there.......falling to the second round? hmm....... 4. Marshawn Lynch, California Overall Rank: 34 Ht/Wt: 5-11/215 Combine: 4.46 forty, 20 reps of 225, 35.5-inch vertical, 10.5-foot broad jump Pro Day: Performed position drills Negatives: Lynch was accused of sexually and domestically assaulting his ex-girlfriend in December. He was in the line of fire during a drive-by shooting in college. Of those who did the drill, Lynch's short shuttle at the Combine was markedly slower than every runner on this list. Despite an "official" 4.46, his forties were both in the 4.5s according to both Scout.com and the NFL Network. He was timed as slow as 4.55. Lynch struggled with nagging injuries at Cal and the latest word in league circles is that he has a bad back. Positives: Lynch tore up Pac-Ten defenses, scoring 15 times as a junior and averaging 6.1 yards-per-carry. He is an effective receiver and explosive, though not elusive. Lynch isn't shifty, and could be a good fit for a zone-blocking scheme. Verdict: I'm already wary of Pac-Ten running backs that aren't named Reggie Bush, let alone those with off-field issues, suspect speed, and injury questions. The argument has been made that Lynch's sexual assault accusation wasn't pursued, and is thus a non-issue. In a league set to suspend Pacman Jones for a full year, it won't be overlooked. Lynch is unlikely to be drafted in the top 20 and could fall well into the second round. Full article below...... http://rotoworld.com/content/features/colu...articleid=27953

Carr's cost will drop after the draft. Although, what if the Raiders take him and spend their first pick on Johnson? I still think with a better OL, Carr would be a decent QB. The Texans couldnt protect the guy. Carr will find another job im sure.

Well its a true fact most all NFL players are vastly overpaid to play a childs game....... You going to tell me Nate Clements was worth 80 million? I mean we all seen the season he had in 2005 right? He couldnt stop a one legged bum at wideout........and thats worth 80 million? Champ Bailey is the best corner in the game and Clements is getting paid more. Trust me next year Champ will want more money aswell....... its a never ending story! I still have an issue of Sports Illustrated when Deion Sanders signed with the Cowboys for 35 million dollars, that was alot of money back then, now 35 million, offensive lineman get that....... 15 years from now 80 million will seem like nothing....

How Would A Bills Superbowl Win.....
marauderswr80 replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Honestly........id probably start to cry and finally let go of all the frustrations ive had for the past few years.........and after doing so, ID BE THE BIGGEST F-ING TRASH TALKER YOU HAVE EVER SEEN WITH MY BILLS........For everyone who has given me sh1t over the years.....id let them have it! -
I dont think they are looking down the road to 2008......... I think they are looking for quality players that fit the system. Big names, Big contracts, big signing bonuses dont win you championships. Dont believe me ask the Redskins. The Bills are about getting younger athletes who are hungry for winning. They are getting guys who are team oriented. Guys who know how to play the game together. In the NFL these days you have too many guys playing for themselves........and less about the team. I honest think Marv & Co, are trying to get guys who care more about winning then about personal stats. Cause really thats all it boils down to, Wins & Loses...... At first I didnt like the direction the team was heading in.....but after seeing what our draftees did last year with the defense, Im more then happy with it. I finally have trust within the scouting department to find the right guys to play here in Buffalo. Face the facts, did anyone ever hear about Keith Ellison before he was drafted? I sure as heck didnt. When TKO went down with that hammy, Ellison stepped right in and played VERY well for the most part. Donte Whitner and Ko Simpson in my mind are going to be alot better this year then last year. They will understand the game better and adjust to the speed of the game. We had 5 rookies start on defense this past year and all of them played fairly well....to me thats huge for a team. Buffalo is getting younger with more athletic/hungry players.......I see nothing wrong with that at all...

I thought Losman played well enough last year to get people and some fans off his back......GUESS NOT! I think Losman played great football once his blind side was protected, well enought that fighting to keep his job is a joke! I also find it funny the rumors come out of Houston, the same team losman tore apart. Strange.................

With this happening, There is a chance he may never get drafted. Now a days draft picks are soo important to teams that many teams may take a pass on him and draft someone else. He may sign with someone as a undrafted free agent. -
Fred Jackson: Wildcard. Boom, Bust, Bore or Bounced?

I dont think we will ever see a team go undefeated again. Football now is about keeping a team healthy near the end of the year for the playoffs. I think winning a Super Bowl is more important then going undefeated. -

I do feel for him, dont get me wrong. I dont question his talent at all........ Its his healthy with that leg. I just found it very funny people around here wanted to trade picks away to get him in the first round. This is exactly why I was against it in the first place. -
We should trade him for one of those heaters they have on the sidelines during cold games.....

marauderswr80 replied to syhuang's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah and most around here wanted to trade picks away for him.........NICE! I bet his stock drops like a rock now, I think he would be around in the 5th round on. -
id never give a first for Turner. However, its appealing to give a 2nd rounder for him.
-
Id be happy with either guy, but both guys have different styles. I think Peterson is a more physical runner, while Lynch is a flashy RB..... But, id be happy with either one
-
So now we have fans suggesting we trade away picks for the 3rd best RB in the draft, mind you, this is a RB that didnt see the field in 2006. Seems to be a HUGE gamble if you ask me. If anything, id draft Lynch, and get a decent LB in the 2nd round...... I cant see giving away picks for a guy who didnt do anything the year before, and unsure how he has healed..... I think there are some good LB's that will be there in the 2nd when we pick, There will also be some decent RB's aswell!
-
I gotta admit it, I'm not so sure LB is a pressing need.

When Spikes was out last year Ellison played balls to the wall. He was all over the place! I have full confidence he will fit nicely with this D
