  1. Screen name checks out.
  2. Just keep in mind, Spencer Brown played TE in high school 😉 2. A multi-sport background Brown competed in football, basketball, golf, and track at Lenox High School in his hometown Lenox, Iowa. The school, nestled in a town with a population of 1,407 as of 2010, fielded an eight-player team. Brown played tight end in addition to fighting through double teams to rack up 17 sacks as a senior and earned first-team all-state honors. https://www.buffalobills.com/news/spencer-brown-nfl-draft-tackle-northern-iowa
  3. How do waivers work going into the season? Does it follow draft order? If there was a worthwhile TE cut somewhere else (unless they are a vested veteran), it's fair to think he wouldn't make it all the way to the Bills. Not a lot of TE depth leaguewide.
  4. I can think of 258 million reasons why it's fair to expect that...
  5. It was mentioned on Joe B's pod (or maybe Cover1?) that Howard is seen very much as the second TE, not the #2 TE, if that makes sense. Howard is who they see in 2 TE sets, but if Knox were to go down it would more likely be Morris or Sweeney that would replace Knox as the #1 TE with Howard remaining as the second TE in 2 TE sets. Reading between the lines, I can see where there would be plays in Dorsey's offense, probably short yardage and goal line situations, that have been installed for a great big giant of a TE...there is only one guy on the roster that fits that description and I'm not talking about Tommy Doyle.
  6. Much has been made about Howard playing with reserves into the 4th quarter in all three preseason games but I feel that has been a little overblown. Outside of (I think?) the first game, the Bills have only dressed three TE's. With the number of 2 TE sets they have been running, along with Morris taking snaps in the Gilliam backup role, Howard may be on the field in the 4th quarter out of necessity. Wasn't Sweeney dinged up in the first game as well, which may have prompted Howard getting put back in late. The one thing Howard brings to the table that none of the other TE's have his size...something tells me that there are packages that have been designed to use his size and skillset that we obviously haven't seen in preseason. If that is the case and he is showing the coaches what they need to see in practice then he still has a good chance to stick with the team. Howard hasn't looked terrible, he just hasn't really stood out much above Sweeney and Morris. If (big if) Beane can deal him and move that salary then I think the Bills will move him. I don't think he's getting outright released though.
  7. Not very Buffalo of them to go out first...shouldn't they go out right at the very end in heartbreaking fashion?
  8. Brilliant use of the shotgun barrel as a hidden umlaut, my camo hat is off to you sir.
  9. C'mon, we all know that if it was based on preseason then Baa-Baa Blackshear would be the RB.
  10. Is this post lifted from the ScottLaw of the Chargers board?
  11. Off topic (sorry), but my wife watches Instagram reels all the time and the other day I catch David Nelson on her phone…apparently his wife is some kind of Instagram influencer? Just funny to see his name brought up here after just seeing him.
  12. You’re kinda proving the point to keep ST aces…”guys that catch 4 balls a year as a WR is a waste of a roster spot.” Last season McKenzie was the 5th WR and he had 20 catches, 11 of which were in one game. There just aren’t that many targets left for whoever the 6th WR is going to be, so why not use that spot on a guy that contributes on ST? Your 6th WR, 4th RB, 5th LB types must contribute on Special Teams, that’s how a roster is constructed. this isn’t me saying that Kumerow and Jones have to be on the 53, but the Bills need to have these roster spots filled with guys that are core 4 STers.
  13. I want the young guys to get their shot, but this fanbase of all fanbase should know the importance of special teams. Between Steve Tasker’s contributions and heartbreaking losses due to ST breakdowns, I have seen the value in having a unit you can trust to make all of the plays when the pressure is ratcheted up to the highest level in the biggest spotlight. The organization knows this, and these veteran ST aces are making the 53 without a second thought.
  14. Well the Jets franchise is a dumpster fire, so I guess it makes sense that their QB has burst into flames.
  15. You can listen live to WGR through the radio button on the Bills app…not sure if games are blacked out online though. If you have SiriusXM they might carry it, again not sure about preseason broadcasts.
  16. Lots of broken hips in pickleball...falls and osteoporosis are a poor combination. In the 'old days' of four preseason games it was always the penultimate game that the starters saw the most action, and then they were rested in the final game as the last spots on the roster were up for grabs. If I were to guess I would say that Josh and the majority of starters see little to no action next week in Carolina.
  17. Not saying it should, but thinking it may have.
  18. Last year the third preseason game was the only home game. I am guessing with the third preseason game down in Carolina this year they are getting the starters in for the home fans.
  19. McD indicating that Josh is going to play this weekend.
  20. I was wondering how many sacks Bruce would rack up if he was playing alongside Von, Oliver and the rest of this line. I’d probably go with 7, which really isn’t too bad considering he’s almost 60 years old 😉
  21. More Moss power running from early last year…this is the player that needs to show up.
  22. Doesn't help that KC came to OP in the 2020 empty stadium season.
