Chicago Media- Bills are an Easy Win
stonefly42 replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As a Rochester Transplant living in Chicago, I made a wager with my Senior Pastor (and Bears fan...and boss) about this game. I am an Associate Pastor at Harvest Bible Chapel Palos. And I believe in the Bills. IF the Bears win, I must take to YouTube singing Bear Down Chicago Bears IF (WHEN!) the Bills shock the world and take game 1, my pastor must take to YouTube and sing SHOUT. What should I add to this wager? -

HUGE Bills fan in California here. I can finally listen to the game now that I won't be in church with a 4pm start. Anyone know where I can hear it online? Thanks!

Peter King's MMQB on cnnsi.com/nfl Must read every week. -
good point. fear is often equated with excellence; and rightly so.

That's funny.

I don't know if this has been discussed, but I have a question for you guys. Should the average NFL fan appreciate or hate the NFL Network? Is the NFL Network and its success the beginning of the end for free football on CBS NBC and FOX? I find myself watching the channel quite often and I ask myself if I am supporting the begining of the end. What do you think?
-
But it's funny drivel. Dude, the Bimbo Apocalypse? That's funny...even though he didn't write it. Still. Have you seen this guys picks? He picked both the Browns and the Colts yesterday AND he had the Bills losing by one point. The guy knows his stuff.

this weeks "positive things" thread
stonefly42 replied to GoBillsDB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
After the early interception, JP looked like he was being way too careful out there. But after the unbelievable start to the second half, he continued with his act of convincing football fans everywhere that he truly is for real, giving us many reasons to be proud of our QB. The kid is smart and he is good. He has proved that three weeks in a row now. Give the kid credit; he is our guy. -
Two time-outs on one play. Didn't go for it on fourth and literally inches. How much blame goes to the coaching?

Check out the drama on Buffalo Rising

well thought out. i like it. -
I just finished watching "The Funeral" with Christopher Walken and flipped on to see the tail end of the Jay Leno show. I don't know if any of you saw this tonight, but Taylor Hicks was on tonight. I literally sat with my jaw dropped to the ground; you've got to be kidding. Seriously, was he convulsing or was his body just going Elaine and performing some dry heaves? Wow.

the point was that these guys have been on forever and have destroyed you here. is douche really all you have? and where'd you get flaming from?
-
djh, can I jump in here for a second? bro, you have to stop. there's a reason "rookie" appears next to our name. not sure if you realize that. you sound dumb. not sure if you realize that one, either. so, for the sake of all that's good, just stop.

Shaud Williams on the Ali G show
stonefly42 replied to stonefly42's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
what's the reason for your cute little icons?! i guarantee, if he gets let go at some point, he's going to be a better back in this league than a guy like LaMont Jordan or even good ol' Travis Henry. He played for Alabama! Not many guys can do that! Additionally, he averaged over 5 yards per carry for the Tide. Granted, he was playing in the SEC, but he also averaged over 130 all-purpose yards per game. At any level, that's a very good average. It's not LT, but it's pretty good regardless. If he ever gets his shot, this shifty back is going to run all over some good teams. -
Shaud Williams on the Ali G show
stonefly42 replied to stonefly42's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Shaud's a good back. I even think he would have filled in nice for Willis when he was out. Anyone else? -
Hey everyone. I was just wasting some time looking for video clips on google of the guy who played Borat. He's coming out with a new movie in '08 with a character named "Bruno." The only one I watched had an interview with Shaud Williams when he was still at Alabama. I don't advocate the the things said about gay people in the interview; I thought you'd like to see Shaud Williams' reaction to it. The guy has no clue he's getting played. It's pretty funny. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=62...2&q=bruno+cohen

One thing all Bills fans can agree on
stonefly42 replied to Cornerville's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who's got dibs on this one?! Wouldn't that be unbelievable?! I think Sapp just complained about that last week, funny enough. That just tells us it's possible. What an amazing job by the boys today, huh? Even thought he didn't have the best numbers, JP was accurate and he brought the team back on a game winning drive. After these two weeks, especially this week because last week was "merely" the Texans, I am gaining some confidence in the OLine AND JP. Those Jags are big up front. Great job today. -
YES!!!! A GUY WHO GETS IT!!! THANK YOU!!!!

That's exactly my point. There's no reason to give up. If you give up, why the heck are you a fan in the first place? There are a few short months in the year that a football fan looks forward to. From August through January, you have 17 chances to see your team on the field and scream your brains out, whether they're winning or losing...and then track all of their moves at twobillsdrive during the ass-long offseason. If you give up on your team with 7 weeks left in the season, you've forgotten why you're a fan! You've taken all of the fun out of being a fan! The Bills have sold out how many straight home games with a team that has a record far below what they are capable of, a new face of HC every couple of years, a lackluster offense and an ever-hopeful QB?! There is a reason for that:: passion. Those stands are filled and those parking lots are alive with buffalo wings and brautwerst because people LOVE the Bills and they LOVE football. So, for the love of the game, don't give up on our boys! Cheer your brains out knowing they're the underdogs and, when they DO make the playoffs this year, you'll be able to experience the game for a few more weeks with a lot more adrenaline than if you had given up 7 weeks shy of the end. Go JP, Go Fletch, Go Willis...Go BILLS!
-
It's all about the hope. Can the Bills clean the table? No, probably not; but that was also an improbablility when we were able to taste the playoffs when they lost to the Steelers. Playoff hopes are always fun; and what would be better to build on than a Wild Card playoff spot? Not much for a team like ours! Let's cheer for our boys and see what happens.
-
I know we like to give up on the season around this time, especially while visions of Norwood dance in our heads, but does anyone have any idea if we still have a playoff shot? Do we still have something to cheer for this year?
