For Poojer -- from the Syr Newspaper
JPTheRealDeal07 replied to Greybeard's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Syracuse native here, born and raised, my high school team played his in a preseason scrimmage, we were in a higher class than Onondaga and state ranked, and very proud to say we pounded Hart, but I'm glad to see how well is he doing, he's reppin the 315 well -
Evans not cutting it as #1 WR ...
JPTheRealDeal07 replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah it proves the worth of moulds but bottom line, this is a business, he's making too much money to do nothing more than take pressure off of evans, he isnt a number one wideout anymore and wanted to be paid like you, Evans is doing fine, football takes 11 guys on the same page, and this team doesnt have that at all, with or without moulds -

Actually the Moulds move did work out for somebody, Andre Johnson. He's having a huge year playing next to a guy who may not be what he once was, but Moulds still commands attention from a defense. And David Carr was lookin good prior to a benching, Im sure it was for one game however -
For all of you Bunkley lovers
JPTheRealDeal07 replied to In space no one can hear's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Defensive tackle is a tough position to learn in the NFL. Bunkley is quite a specimen and if you look at his college career, he's not exactly a three year starter. He played behind NFL guys his whole life and is still probably a little raw. As for Justice and Jean Gilles, I think theres a reason they both went alot lower than we all thought, so them not being so great is no real surprise to me, although its still way too early to tell -
We Aren't Ever Going Anywhere with Dick
JPTheRealDeal07 replied to BenchBledsoe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I'm not big on Jauron either, but it wasn't him getting that stupid penalty costing us a TD,it was Kelsay. It wasn't him to dropped a TD pass in the back of the endzone, that was Evans, it wasn't him who overthrew a wide open Davis, that was Losman. There's 14 more offensive points for us and 7 less for them, every week it's the same thing, critical mistakes at critical times -
Maybe we should have gone with another option at HC, or maybe get the best available right now. Look, Richie Jauron is a nice guy and a hard worker, but just watch other NFL games, ANY game(Outside of Oakland), they just seem so much more creative and ldiverse. We seem like this plodding team that always is sloppy, we make easy things hard and hard things even worse. That is mostly on the players(The Pre snap penalties) but Jauron just doesnt have that fire, the guy looks dead out there, I think the players can almost feel that

Troy Smith is the answer
JPTheRealDeal07 replied to Wanted: Ring's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree about the line, I'd like to see JP with a strong OL. But Troy Smith is awesome and we do tend to like guys out of Ohio State. I honestly think we'll end up with 3-5 wins, and we'll get a chance at one of the top LT's or the best available defensive linemen -
Isn't that what we all ripped Mularkey for doing? Look this is supposed to be his year to see what we have and what we don't have, pulling him after 7 games isn't going to help. In all of the losses this year you aren't going to convince me that Holcomb and Nall(Two guys who couldn't beat him out for the starting job) would have made a difference. He's the best we got, let him play this year out and if he progresses he's our guy if not we look elsewhere, pulling him just puts us another year back

Well at least 4-12 5-11 will give us a chance to get an impact player on the OL and if we get lucky a Cal Johnson -

why do our cbs's always give a 10 yard cushion -
What is Youboty's deal? I've seen people on this board saying he's Nate's replacement, not at this rate he isnt
-
Yes but when your the left tackle and you protect your QB's blind side ,you gotta be consistant. You can't give up 3 1/2 sacks in one game

I'm all for the rebuilding plan and understand we aren't a Superbowl contender but, we haven't made the playoffs since the late 90's, try to understand everyones lack of patience

after we draft Brady Quinn next year
JPTheRealDeal07 replied to PJBrown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we trade Nate like everybody thinks and wants, we are going to have to address CB early in the draft or in FA. Youboty has alot of talent but I'm not sure he's even seen the field yet this season, unless he gets alot of PT in the second half of the season it's hard to imagine him our #2, or even scarier, McGee being our #1.....Just alot of holes on this team -
Coulnd't have said it better, if we don't have 2-3 new starters on the OL next season we still probably aren't going to be much better. Peters is a mainstay at RT, and other than that I don't see one guy worth keeping IF we can get a better replacement. Fowler is a solid center but he's just too small, mammoth DT's are just going to push him back and ruin our inside run game, in case you haven't seen enough of that so far this year

Bills trade for DE Anthony Hargrove
JPTheRealDeal07 replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, if you have a problem with Kelsay or Denney, take up that same issue with Schobel, who might get his 1 sack a game but other than that he usually does nothing. This Hargrove guy sounds like hes got some upside and maybe pairing him with Kollar can get the best out of him -

I still blame Mike Gandy, how can you justify starting him at LT when he cant pass protect your right handed QB
