  1. Fantastic job. When the draft is complete I will go back and match it up with your rankings. It's obvious that you put a lot of time, effort and thought into your work. Would love to hear from Bandito, Gunner and Bloke and see where there is a major disparity.
  2. I would love to have Darnold. He would be my first preference. But the issue comes down to what would you give up to get him in comparison to Rosen or Mayfield? Although the Bills fortuitously made the playoffs last year in reality they are a rebuilding team that is at least another two or maybe three years away from being a serious team. Keeping as many valuable picks as possible is a necessity in accelerating the rebuilding process. If the Bills could get Rosen at the six spot and maybe just lose their first round picks then those picks that we have left will address other major needs.
  3. As I told WEO you need to expand your horizon. The NY Times exceptionally covers sports such as croquet, chess tournaments with super star Russians, bridge tournaments and cricket. If you ever earn your way into the lofty status of being a beautiful person you will become an avid reader of their sports page.
  4. I agree with everything you said. He was mishandled by the OC and the ill-fitting system he had to play under. He also had one of the worst receiving corps to work with. However, even while acknowledging the challenges he had to deal with as a franchise qb he simply isn't good enough for an organization that has high aspirations. Does anyone doubt that even after Cleveland's acquisition of him that they are going to use their first pick on a qb? Taylor is a fine fellow; at best he is a bridge qb. I wish him the best at Cleveland.
  5. I respectfully disagree. You need to widen your limited horizons. The New York Times is unparalleled in their coverage of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. The newspaper that you deliberately left out dominates the rags that you mentioned in the world that the beautiful people inhabit. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/13/sports/westminster-dog-show.html
  6. The WSJ has been right up there vying with the Washington Post and New York Times digging into the exploits of this administration. They have won a string of Pulitzer awards for their recent stories. I never expected this turnaround.
  7. The Wall Street Journal opinion page is definitely right wing conservative. However, their investigative reporting on the Trump administration has been hard hitting and has won awards for their scoops and stories about Trump and the administration. That is a major change from their usual/historical orientation toward reporting.
  8. You didn't add the New York Times into the newspaper mix. That changes the balance a tad. Don't you agree?
  9. I don't understand your response about the context?
  10. What Buffalo will be doing is the same thing that Cleveland will be doing i.e. Using a high pick to draft a long term franchise qb. Few people have ever criticized Taylor for his work ethic, leadership and character. I really can't recall it ever being an issue even from the detractors. The Bills got a good return with the trade to Cleveland. Cleveland paid a reasonable price to get their bridge qb. The situation he is in Cleveland is much better than it would be if he stayed with the Bills. He being dealt was the right thing for the Bills and the right thing for him.
  11. Thor Nystrom of Rotoworld was on WGR with Howard Simon. His comments on Rosen, Jackson and the best approach to take on this draft was clearly well reasoned. He felt that Rosen was the best qb in this draft and also believed that drafting Jackson at 12 and keeping our picks was a smart way build roster. It's a 17 minute segment. One of the better takes on this draft. I'm leaning toward drafting Rosen but not moving all the way up to the two spot get him. I believe he will be available at around 6 for a reasonable price. If we lose out then consider Thor's next best option of selecting Jackson at the 12 spot. http://www.wgr550.com/media/audio-channel/04-19-thor-nystrom-rotoworld-howard-and-jeremy
  12. If the Bills don't have to trade off many of their high picks this roster can be bolstered. It's a delicate balancing act. I still believe getting the qb is the first priority but if that can be accomplished without depleting the picks that would be a terrific situation for us. (Of course I'm stating the obvious.)
  13. Your response could also apply to the Jets. They could just as well be interested in Rosen as with Allen. My preference is Rosen. He reminds me of Goff with the picturesque mechanics but is much more advanced in reading defenses. He more so than any qb in this draft can play right away. That is not to say that there won't be an adjustment for him but he is better equipped to quickly making the leap than the other prospects.
  14. If the Bills move up to the Giants spot there is a good chance that they will select Allen. Odds are that Cleveland will take Darnold with the first pick but it wouldn't be stunning news if they took Allen. Cleveland would be a good situation for Allen because they want to start Taylor and let their rookie qb mature before allowing him to take the snaps. Whichever team selects him it is obvious that he is highly regarded as a prospect. I would take Darnold and Rosen over him but with his tools he is an enticing player to consider.
  15. I don't care if Peterman is the first backup or the tenth backup. It has no bearing on whether the Bills use a high pick on a qb. They will regardless what Peterman's status is.
  16. When he pulls his pants down and moons the opposition they call him Rambutt.
  17. I grew up watching the Stooges. They were great. The family members including heirs have fought long and hard over the branding and money rights. The legal wrangling became a generational battle.
  18. It's not hair. It's a carpet. In the morning he doesn't comb it, he vacuums it.
  19. I would take Darnold and Rosen and Mayfield over Allen. If we draft Allen I would still be happy. My continuing to change prediction is that the Bills will draft Rosen in a not significant deal. I would give up both firsts and select Rosen in a trade down and keep the rest of the picks. Rosen reminds me of Goff only more prepared to play against pro defenses. Both qbs have picturesque throwing motions.
  20. The original discussion dealt with Peterman being on the roster. I felt that he would more likely be on the roster as a third qb if the Bills use a high pick on a qb, as most of us assume. I still believe that he will be on the roster one way or another. If you don't consider the practice squad as part of the team then that's your prerogative. I do. I'm not trying to stretch a definition of what it means to be on a roster. My point with the prior posts is that most teams keep three qbs on their roster. If you believe that I am stretching the definition of what it means to be on the roster you are entitled to your view. The players on the practice squad are practicing with the team during the season and offseason. They are getting paid by the team and using the same staff and facilities. If a better player or a more needed player is available then the practice squad player is dispatched. If you don't consider that as being part of the team that's okay. I just have a more expansive view than you do as to what the roster entails.
  21. I'm including the practice squad with being on the roster. Those players are working out with their mates during the season and offseason. If a player goes down they are usually the ones to be brought forward. They are part of the team.
  22. Whether Peterman is on the team or not has nothing to do with the Bills using a high pick on a qb. Your premise is off base and off the wall.
  23. If you include the practice squad teams often have three qbs on the roster.
  24. Your need to always prove that you are right is tiresome. It's a neurotic compulsion. Don't bother responding.
