Once again, the Trump Bump is real.
Sessions last ran, unopposed, in 2014, where he received just shy of 800,000 votes. He will end up with about 1/4 of that vote tonight.
While an in party run-off can't be directly compared to a general election turn out, in what was known to be a tough fight, his supporters would have gone to the polls today.
