  1. I get where you're coming from. And I agree with some of your assessment. However, i am not a 100% convinced they're just banking on a draft QB. They might go after a proven veteran as well. Think Alex Smith or Kirk Cousins. They've got enough ammo to even go after someone like Cam Newton, though at that point I'd rather they drafted a rookie with a great college track record. I think a lot of things are in play. I am however sorry to see Watkins go. C
  2. Johnson was a dick? No ****? I liked Flutie but that didn't mean he wasn't a dick too. They're highly paid pro athletes. Go figure. We spin this the way we want.
  3. There's a lot to ponder in the OP's thoughts. However, there was one fundamental difference. Donahoe was in charge from day one. He had Greggo run the kind of ship TD wanted. GW admitted as much when he ended up in DC. Remember the early AM horn blasting? That was Donahoe's idea. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/01/02/AR2007010201192_4.html The sense I get with McDermott is that he has been in charge from day one. Now he and Beane have a true partnership. Apparently. C
  4. I know this has been said before. But these reports have been more "funner" than some in previous years. Love your sense of humor too. Thanks Astro!
  5. Aaron Schobel is a good candidate. But I love Darryl Talley. Sure he was a 2nd round pick, but man, whom else epitomized the Bills in the 80s/90s? And never got the respect? Then I think Kyle Williams.
  6. Jessie James Decker is an artist signed to Sony/Epic. https://open.spotify.com/artist/0GzIauSfKRc5BlNXpTWAGz C
  7. You don't know diddly squat. The Titans had the inside track the whole time because of both Decker and Jessie's connection to Nashville. She is brilliant. And they are both nice people. I am a Bills fan who lives in Nashville. I agree that it remains to be seen how injuries are gonna affect his career. But no need to take a swipe at a man's family.
  8. Eventhough this article is a little older, I like the analysis and insight. Nice comprehensive list of candidates: http://insidethepylon.com/nfl/front-office/2016/12/09/2017-nfl-general-manager-candidates/
  9. She was up against Chance. He was the runaway favorite. And rightly so. Still Kelsea has a bright future.
  10. man, the real metzelaars was way more optimistic - you also assume a lot of things. And you know what that makes you? ;-) Kelsea is one of the nicest people I've ever met. Also one of the cheeriest. Not that that's hard to find here in Nash. Her music is pretty cool and was one of the vanguard in the female revival in country music (ie. the tomato debate - look it up). We've done business with her management company who are also good people and a great hang. If you can't root for people deserving of success, then what the hell? But you have yourself a nice day, Scrooge. C
  11. Some of you might already be aware. But the Pegulas also own a record label, Black River Entertainment here in Nashville. One of their artists - Kelsea Ballerini is a Grammy nominee this year. The CEO of the company is from Fairport and is Kim Pegula's brother. http://www.tennessean.com/story/entertainment/music/2015/10/31/black-river-entertainment-rises-music-row-underdog/74289378/ http://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/sports/football/nfl/bills/2016/06/21/black-river-entertainment-gives-pse-unique-mix/86144428/ At any rate, someone to root for at this year's Grammys. Best. Charles
  12. I hate the Pats with a passion. My wife who knows nothing about football & the NFL hates the Pats with a passion. But last night that QB and that coach put on a master class in how not to give up. They might be the best tandem ever. As much as I'm depressed about the result, it might be the most entertaining SB I've ever watched. The NFL is just fine. And they know it. As much as Belichick & Brady are the Trumps of the NFL.
  13. I wish they had kept Sanjay Lal as WR coach. He did a solid job.
  14. Stop it! You're making me bust a stitch. And it hurts!! Word.
  15. Hugh Jackman? Is he coaching football now? Man, that would be cool to have Wolverine coaching the Bills...;-)
  16. Personally, I think we're McF**ked.We're aiming for the 20 yr drought.
  17. You know what's really funny? Tom Clements the Assistant HC/Offense for GB Packers used to be on our staff. As did Alex Van Pelt. We all know AVP. Also note that GB coveted JP Losman. They considered Aaron Rodgers the consolation prize. This is why we can't have nice things...
  18. I saw the presser. It made me scared for the future of the Bills. I was bullish on Whaley at the beginning of the season. I am not so sure anymore. After watching the presser I felt like Whaley is a figurehead GM and not in the loop on anything except scouting players. I have no idea what to think about the future of our Buffalo Bills. Feels like the Pegulas are meddling and unwilling to give up control and yet not qualified to run a franchise properly. C
  19. Let's put this in perspective. He also wants EJ as the QB.
  20. Although I don't think Coughlin is a bad choice, I think there are better choices. This news piece is just folks looking at what happened this year and putting 2 and 2 together and getting 8. I hope we look at some good offensive coaches including Sean Payton who apparently can be had in a trade for picks. I also think Jim Schwartz would do well in Buffalo. They're made for each other. C
  21. We should have hired Jim Schwartz as HC. He's from the Belichick coaching tree and knows how to fit systems to players. Not the other way around. That was Wade's genius as well. The only lynchpins he needed were Ted Washington and Sam Adams. (The player not the beer)
  22. Their receivers are definitely garbage.
  23. Indeed. I should have mentioned the backs.
