  1. Gross. Both for McNair and the young lady who are now dead. The rule of thumb is to test if you'd think this was funny, if a member of your family was involved.
  2. I've thought drafting Ngata over Whitner was a dumb move that set this program back a few years. I'm glad Whitner is finally living up to his potential in year 4. About time don't you think. I don't hate the guy or even think he is an awful player. But for your No. 8 pick he had better produce and produce well. I'll also give you another hint as to why he is playing so well. Guess when his contract is up? ;-) Go see his FaceBook page and check out what he wants the Bills organization to do. My guess is the team lets him walk and plugs Byrd in. That being said - I'm glad he cares...But he still has to make plays. C
  3. Exactly. I think we have young talent...But that talent would have floundered if not for Hangman's calm presence and demeanor. Also I think Butler was a good influence. He refuses to be beat. Second the vote for AVP...He has been a breath of fresh air. Just creative and efficient play calls. The guys seem to be having fun & playing loose. What a concept.
  4. I think our OC is great. The guy has been stellar holding this line together. For me after 2 games, the guys who have made this team work are: 1) Fred Jackson 2) Kyle Williams 3) Hangartner 4) Trent Edwards C
  5. Easy there Cowboy. AVP was great last night. But just because he called a great game doesn't qualify him to automatically be a HC. There are some good HC material out there. Let's see how the season plays out. Thumbs up on your enthusiasm. C
  6. Agreed. I just think he should have gone down and kept the ball safe. It was an instance of this team not playing scared. On a silver lining note. Both Jon Gruden and Mike Martz seemed genuinely impressed with the Bills after no one gave them a chance. Makes me think if Jauron does get fired, a halfway decent coach would jump at the chance to coach this team. That being said, I thought coaching was not at fault in this game. Jauron actually looked kinda intense and focused out there...
  7. Wow, you are a genius! I hope they nominate you for the the Genius award. Brilliant. I'm just so glad we're 1-0 - oh wait a minute...
  8. I've been down on Trent. But he played a good, solid game. I thought our ST play was not up to par. Our WRs being the blue-chip players that they claim to be (I'm talking to you Owens & Evans) didn't make plays like playmakers are supposed to. I don't understand why they called off the dogs in the second half. Maybe the Poz injury was huge and maybe the D was just sucking wind. I don't know. But Brady had all day back there in the 2nd half. I don't see what this staff sees in Bell. They might as well suit up Nelson or Schouman to play LT at this point. I'm in McKelvin's corner in this one. He did the right thing to come out with the ball - he just shouldn't have let the ball come out... Fred Jackson is a MAN! I love the way he runs so much better than Lynch. So is Kyle Williams. Schobel had a couple of good pressures in the second and then went invisible. WTH? Penalties - OMFG - we aren't that good to give up that many penalties in that many plays and still win... Sadly, I think Jauron may have saved his job with this game. But if the team is moved to play this way every week for him, maybe that's a good thing. Too bad they all can't be on MNF and too bad the Bills don't get 10 days to prep for every opponent. I think AVP's play calling was awesome. I didn't know what was coming next unless it was a long down & distance. Trent still checks down too much for my taste - but at least he was checking down smart and not checking down scared.
  9. In general or just in this case?
  10. 2009 Buffalo Bills : Your money for nothing.
  11. Right now I wouldn't give this O a chance in hell against JV teams. This game is 80% or better about a team's psyche. The Bills are shot to hell. Unless something dramatic happens Monday night - like the D plays like they're the second coming of the Steel Curtain, I don't see that changing unless we get a new aggressive, tough minded coaching staff. C
  12. Unless the FO deems them not a good value when they are in their prime and refuses to pay them the going rate. In which case, they'll be playing elsewhere after we call them "bums." We then draft someone in the 7th round and declare him an OL ingenue and get him ready to play with a little or no experience because he is "affordable." We then sit around clinking our beverage glasses citing how he'll be brilliant in years 3-5. Rinse. Recycle. Repeat.
  13. I also think that next year being an uncapped year, terrifies this franchise. They're cutting wherever and whatever they can to keep the guaranteed money to a minimum. Add that all up and I think you have to think this franchise will continue to be in the doldrums for (at least) the next 3-5 years. We're gonna be in "rebuilding" mode again without actually building anything. C
  14. maybe so - the problem is half this board could have told you that at the beginning of the Peters trade. The FO was so confident they put Walker in that position. Sure he made a lot of money - but he was a decent RT. In fact, it was the only side of the OL that had decent gains on runs by Lynch. The timing and the lack of a backup plan sucks. Bell won't be ready till about 4-5 games into the season. Sound familiar?
  15. That or he has been assured/guaranteed that he won't lose his job at the end of *this* season.
  16. That makes him a great fit to start at the most important position on our OL. He won't be ready at the earliest - Wednesday. I didn't think losing Peters was a big deal. But now big JP must be laughing his overpaid/undermature ass off in Philly.
  17. This is dumb ass. Guy did everything that was asked of him without complaining. Our FO and coaching seem to live the mantra "Put them in positions to fail." C
  18. Err...Fairchild left to go to Colorado.
  19. I can't hear much of anything. But Jauron already looks defeated.
  20. And this ladies & gents is why we are the Buffalo Bills. This has Ralph written all over it... Not that canning Turk was a bad idea. But just the timing and the backup plan suck... C
  21. Donte also wants his money. Which prompted some guy to offer Donte $10K if he makes 8 INTs. LOL
  22. Oh for F's sake...The goal of the team should be to make the playoffs and have a winning season. It would be nice for them to win at NE on a Monday night. But I'd rather lose on MNF and go 15-1. Who cares if the team beats NE and then craps the bed and goes 1-15? Knowing our owner, it would probably be enough to save DJ's job. I'd celebrate the MNF victory and not feel stupid or dumb at all. Given everything I've seen thus far, it doesn't take a genius to predict and be justified that we'll be p-whipped by NE in front of a national audience - AGAIN! C
