Election Day/Week/Month 2024 Results

That was the only reason they ran her. She got to keep the money. As a dearly departed high school friend of mine used to say, "money talks and bull ***** walks". Didn't really understand it at the time but he has been proven to be right as I've gotten older time and time again. -
Worked with Tom Landry. He got to the SB with 2 different QBs and made the playoffs with 4 different ones. Granted he cheated but Bill Bellyache did pretty well with his QB. Mary Levy and John Harbaugh were both kicking teams coordinators. They seemed to do OK with their QBs. I think the offensive/defensive coach thing is over rated. How can you possibly be a good offensive coordinator without an intimate knowledge of defense and vice versa? You need a great Head Coach. Someone who can hire the right assistants, evaluate players, get the team psychologically ready to play, and make wise in game decisions.

I know a lot of people are high on this guy but I'm not as certain. Granted he has run a great offense in Detroit. But would he be a good Head Coach? There is some overlap but its a different skill set. And he has a stacked roster in Detroit with Goff, Gibbs, Montgomery, and LaPorta among others. probably wont have that anywhere else he may land.

Josh/Bills has a good record in all kinds of stadiums.

My prediction: Trump wins the popular vote and Harris wins the Electoral College.

I'm not. Looked to me like his shin was down before the football got to the line to gain. Didn't the Jets win a game Thursday night cuz the WR's shin hit the ground causing him to be down in bounds? Probably why we challenged IMHO. -
The decision to go for the FG - right or wrong?
reddogblitz replied to Matt_In_NH's topic in The Stadium Wall
I recall a game once at the Ralph. It was Trent Edwards first game as the starter against the Dallas Cowboys on MNF. it came down to the end and Dallas lined up to kick a long game winning 53 yard FG. Coach Jauron called a time out at the last second to "ice the kicker". But the Dallas still snapped the ball cuz it was called right before the snap they didn't know it. The kicker made it. After the time out he made it again and we lost. Kickers say they like it because it gives them a little more time at mentally prepare and some seven get a free swing practice try. I think it's more of oh well what the neck we're desperate we'll try anything kind of deal. What have you got to lose? I bet today's legend if the game George Wilson remembers that game as he picked off Tony Romo a couple of times. -

This exactly what I thought. His shin was down while the football was behind the line to gain. Seems to me the call should have been overturned. As far as the decision to kick goes, Bass made it and we won the game. Correct call all day long. Football ain't poker. -
That is a great eulogy @SDS. Thanks. I can tell you put a lot into it. I am so sorry to hear this news. My deepest regards to his family. Seemed like a good dude. I had many football/politics discussions with him. Have a lot of respect for him for all he did for his family and his USAF service over seas. Go BILLS

Not sure if this is related but once the Rhine Fire had Helmut day. If your name is Helmut you get in free. -
The next 6 games will be interesting.

While the Lions are a really good team I'm not as worried as some. Their coach very well might blow it late by running some trick play to throw it to a offensive lineman for the go ahead score instead of giving if to Montgomery or Gibbs. And we think Coach McDermott is bad on late game decisions. -

We'll get there soon enough. Stop and smell the wins in the meantime. -
Also heard all week the Seattle was going to run it down our throat cuz they have a strong run game and we can't stop the run.

Week 8 - Bills at Seahawks Game Week Thread

Amen on the wake up part. Not too sure about the run part. Contrary to popular opinion they don't have a good run game. #9 has averaged less than 10 carries per game. They're A passing team with a pass happy OC. The weather isn't going to be bad at least according to latest forecast. Unlike some teams I know, when their top WR is out they have guys who can step up. They're gonna be chucking the rock IMHO. Hopefully we can get pressure on Geno. -
I've been to both and I like the Everett one better. A lot of WWII birds. And they have tour guides there that explain the the airplanes and their history. But they are both good.

Seahawks play dirty. I hope I guys will be ready for it. -
Are you going to this one in Everett? It is really cool. I highly recommend it. About 15 miles north of downtown Seattle
-
I'll be there sitting (I hope. I really don't like the whole stand up the whole time thing.) in the upper deck with my wife, daughter, and son-in-law. Debating if I'm gonna wear my Buffalo Lynch jersey or something else.

Week 8 - Bills at Seahawks Game Week Thread
reddogblitz replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have been to 15-20 Seahawks games. Yes the crowd is loud but so is every NFL stadium. I've attended games in a half a dozen stadiums. It's largely myth IMHO. Certainly not louder than the Ralph. I watch quite a few Seahawks games and have a few observations. 1. The Seahawks play dirty. One of their favorite tricks is to shove or take a punch at an opposing player and when said player responds they flop to draw a PF. They also like to take blind side hits on guys after the play is over. Our guys gotta play our own game and not get sucked into this nonsense. I won't mention any names so as not to embarrass Dawkins or Brown. Guys gotta stay focused and not fall for this. 2. Seahawks DBs are very handsy. Hopefully they'll get called for it but knowing the state of NFL officiating we can't count on that. Again, guys need to be cool and not allow this to affect their concentration and game. 3. When the Seahawks get a momentum shift their way the fans and the players really get fired up and crazy thing happen. 4. When leaving the game be cool. Opposing fans get beat up sometimes. Wouldn't say it's a regular occurrence but has been known to happen. -
Schefter: Metcalf considered “week to week”
reddogblitz replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
We whooped 'em in 2004 with the genius of Coach Mukarkey, monster D, and 4 TDs by Willis. My favorite play is at 1:19. QB sneak fake. Am waiting for someone to do this in a brotherly shove situation. -
Schefter: Metcalf considered “week to week”
reddogblitz replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm older than you evidently. I thought he was talking about Terry Metcalf LOL what does "week to week" mean? Maybe this week? Sounds to me like a game time decision. Probably too early in the week to know anything.
