Hot Take: Does Bobby Babich Lose His Job?

Make a trade with Cleveland for Schwartz. -
Do Bills players think they can beat the Chiefs?
reddogblitz replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Jets have a 14 year drought going and need fans. Getting to the AFC Championship and losing by 3 on the road to a historical good team with a little help from their friends is infinitely better than being out of it by Thanksgiving and rooting for random teams on the playoffs. Stop and smell the wins. If I was a player I'd have hope for x,000,000 reasons. -

Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!

Cooper performed well on the rare occasions Josh threw him the football. Sunday he had 4 passes thrown to him and caught all 4 for 33 yards. We just need more and also maybe some longer passes. I hope we re sign him. -
I was not a Buffalo fan back then, Don Meredith was my guy. And I remember more of Jack's political career (he wanted to go back to the gold standard) than his football career. But I agree with you. QBs job is to win. Not put up fancy passing stats and scoring the most rushing yards or passing yards blah blah blah. He touches the football on every play and has the greatest impact. He gets paid the most money. He has to be the team leader and get it done some way some how. Josh I believe is a good leader but in the last 2 playoffs games he had the football down 3 with 2:00 to play. I know its not ALL on him but a lot of it is. He'll never be considered the best until he does. Trent Dilfer is often laughed at around here but he got it done in large part due to leadership. When he got to Baltimore mid season Baltimore was doing the whole "everybody eats" thing like us. He said no, he wasn't going to do it. He's gonna throw it to whoever is open. The offense improved and the rest is history. Just win baby. As far as Jack's completion percentage goes, it was a different game back then. Teams were playing bump and run. Roughing the passer penalties were almost non existent. Warren Wells was playing for Oakland. Getting up whining for a flag was considered weak. Today's guys would know how to handle it.

Been a fan over 30 years, over 90% of my life...
reddogblitz replied to extrahammer's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've been a fan since 1996 (without 15% added on or taken off). Jim Kelly's last season followed by Todd Collins and Flutie and then THE DROUGHT. You people that have been fans for 50+ years had the whole 90s thing with 4 conference championships. I don't feel sorry for you. 🙂 -
Some thoughts on why we can't get over the hump
reddogblitz replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
What reminded me of the Houston game was the odd behavior of the refs. Taking away a TD from us because the Houston guy didn't know the rules. And in this game, one ref running in marking short and one running in marking long. A go to commercial review and then saying he was short. No measurement. -
Would you watch a "Consolation" Bowl?

But lets add more games and more playoff teams with 9-8 records. -

I was at that Vikings game and it DID cost us the game. -
If it were me I'd work out a trade with Cleveland for Schwartz.

reddogblitz replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
I watched the last 2. They were dogs. Players didn't want to be there. Some starters didn't play. I say not. -
In the 1st quarter my wife states, "Ought Oh, Josh has the deer in the headlight look.". He did.

Maybe he did when we sacked Kermit on 3rd and long before they kicked the go ahead FG? I would say on the last drive or 2 when Spags was totally sagged in to stop the run and we didn't go to play action for some throws downfield was a coaching choke.
-
Marone'll be HC by this time next year.
-
We could have taken Kermit in 2017 ...
-
QBs job is to win the game. It was there for the taking and he/we didn't take it. That 1st 3 and out along with the resulting KC TD put us down 7. We lost by 7.
-
I'm not worried about this stat. Nowadays with AI and fancy analytics software, everything's a record or the first time ever or whatever ...
-
I thought all game he was setting up the play action bomb. KC was totally sagged in to stop the run but we never went to it.

Jim Kelly Dan Marino Dan Fouts Fran Tarkenton Warren Moon Sonny Jurgensen

I'm also taking back all the bad things I said about Mack after that game where he couldn't find the football on a long pass over his shoulder and another dropped pass that game.

Oh, so now Bill Walsh gets credit for the 4-3 defense? The 4-3 defense was invented by Tom Landry in 1956 and everyone else (including Walsh) followed. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/4–3_defense

Adios! Deportation Scoreboard
reddogblitz replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
In some cases yes. Charles Whitman and Timothy McVey were both military veterans. And, not all military veterans are citizens. I served with some in the Marines in the late 1970s so it's not a new phenomenon either. I kindof think if a non citizen completes their enlistment with an honorable discharge should be awarded citizenship but that's not the case. Would be a great recruitment tool. So I would really need more info on this military veteran which is not given before knowing if an injustice has been done.
