  1. Sorry if I insulted your golden goose. Of course he did. He played didn't he? I would also add in the Giants loss and both Pasties** losses. Are you saying he didn't? I'm really not sure what you're asking.
  2. Didn't say he was. Still doesn't make it a dumb decision.
  3. Reminds of the words of the Mount Vernon Philosopher, "If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas". Hotrod also has a hand is us being 5-6 by the way. I like Hotrod and advocated signing him in March last year. But, he is what he is and it ain't a great QB yet by any means. He has a lot of work to do and I'm sure he's on it.
  4. I was only referring to since 2013. While Fitz and Jackson were already on the roster, they were run off since then. Brohm, and Bad Bad Levi Brown pre dated that. As far as who Vaughan is: http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/9749/dustin-vaughan Sadly, they don't sell franchise QBs at 7-11.
  5. And sometimes you're just plain dumb. Like when we cut Fred.
  6. So you're good with bringing in a boat person to play RB in the most important game of the season instead of the inactive earlier inthe season Fred? Got it.
  7. He's been working out punching Janay a punching bag.
  8. They're using stick 'em this year or in some other way cheating obviously.
  9. Looked to me like Hotrod had good protection last week but decided to fish hook out and run to the sidelines instead of stepping into the clean pocket in front of him.
  10. Karlos is a walking MASH unit. Hopefully in the off season we sign an RB that's good and can actually suit up on Sundays.
  11. Looks to me like the Bears are pointing up and playing better now than they did at the beginning of the season and are now 5-6 matching their win total for all of 2014. John is the most under rated coach IMHO. He took the Panthers to the SB with Jake Delhomme at QB and lost on a last second FG to the Patsies**. He took the Broncos to the SB and lost to a team with a D that whipped everyone's ass all year. Now he has the Bears pointing in the right direction and still you talk about him as if he were a poor coach that teams this year should avoid experienced coaches like him. I wish we had hired him instead of Rex.
  12. It could be argued that we have been concentrating on it pretty heavily since 2013. Since then we've had a bunch of QBs get a look AND drafted one in the first round after a masterful trade down by Whaley. Tarvaris Jackson Fitz EJ Manuel Jeff Tuel Kevin Kolb Thaddeus Lewis Dennis Dixon Matt Cassell Josh Johnson Vaughan Matt Flynn Tyrod Taylor Kyle Orton Of those 13, 8 are still on NFL rosters and 4 have started NFL games this year. That's an average 4.33 QBs brought in per year. I expect to see Whaley very diligent in the off season to find a really good one someway somehow. May not be successful, but it won't be for a lack of trying.
  13. It's a bogus term anyway. Everyone has their own opinion of what it is (except me because I think it's dumb). Cracks me up that people get so wound around the axle on this one. Matthew Stafford?
  14. Actually we were 2 games over .500 in the games Kyle started. 7-5. We were 2-2 in the ones EJ started. They both did. Doesn't have to be one or the other.
  15. I disagree with this. I don't think the problem is the refs are not in position. Most of the time I see bad calls there is a ref standing right there. Refs really don't have to run that much. They have 7 of them and they are strategically positioned around the field. Soccer is different because they only have one on the field (at least in MLS) so he HAS to run around to see what's going on. I don't think that's the case in football. They're in position, they just make bad calls. The simpler rule book I agree with 100% though.
  16. Could be. I remember when Mike Holmgren was GM/HC for the perennial .500 Seahawks. Then in 2205 he was stripped of GM duties and they went to the Super Bowl. Seems like just coaching would be enough work. When trying to do both, something has to suffer I would think.
  17. Chip Kelly after he gets fired from the Eagles.
  18. N. F. F. L. National Flag Football League
  19. The name that I think of is Rob Johnson. A great game in relief in Jax jacked his price way up, but wasn't worth it.
  20. Try to improve at every position INCLUDING QB. TYrod has done pretty well, but if we really could get someone like Brees or Cutler, man, you gotta go for it. I doubt any of those will be available. However, once the seasons over I'm sure Whaley will be working the phones to find one. I would take CK IN 1/2 a NY heartbeat. Don't try to make him a pocket passer. Let him do what he do. As far as that SB goes, if Roman had called that play I saw them run before where they put Colin in the shotgun with a FB and a couple of tackles or tight ends and let them lead block on a sweep they would have won. Would love to ask Roman why they didn't try that at least once. If Peyton is healthy and wants to play another year and the Broncos don't want him, I'd take him. We got really good talent and if we can avoid spinning our wheels with marginal QBs for even 1 year, we gotta go for it IMHO. Take the Cardinals philosophy.
  21. It was a long time ago, but it appeared to me after the fumble, the whole team started looking for the next shoe to drop. And it was over.
  22. Will he still be there at 32? The Raiders did OK with drafting Janokowski. The Eagles did OK drafting Tony Franklin as well. On a technical note, you kick a kickoff from a tee. You kick a FG off the ground. Maye that has something to do with it? I hate this new Extra Point thing. If anything, kicking should made a less important part of the game, not more IMHO.
  23. While I don't support what Carpenter did last week, it didn't matter all that much. It WOULD have mattered if we had been able to score on that last drive, which of course we couldn't. Or, if our D had not given up so many doggone points, but of course they did. Same could be said for the Patsies** first game. The whole team needs to play better for 1 missed extra point to matter. But yeah, he should stop missing them.
  24. Stating your opinion and saying it's a fact, does not make it a fact.
  25. I'm curious. By what standard is Peyton Manning "literally the worst starting QB in all of football"? Was he that bad in the first 8 games or whatever it was when the Broncos were undefeated?
