It amazes me that some of the biggest climate proponents are also big proponents of Ukraine slugging it out with Russia "as long as it takes". War is hell and also hell on the environment. All the military vehicles, mass amounts of jet fuel while jets pollute a lot, bombs blowing up polluting the air, unspent cluster bomb duds riddling the landscape, etc. These wars are going to set back some of the gains made by electric cars, windmills,solar power, etc.
