Ben Solak (The Ringer) Analysis of Josh's Decisions this Year
reddogblitz replied to JohnRVA's topic in The Stadium Wall
Oh yeah, I forgot. Josh can do no wrong. It's everybody else's fault. He signed the big money contract. No excuses offered. None accepted. -
Ben Solak (The Ringer) Analysis of Josh's Decisions this Year

I agree with the guy on the video. Josh's accuracy on the long ball has been off this year. Even pre injury. He's got Diggs or Shakir or Gabe on an open bomb and over air mails him by 5 yards. Reminds me of 2018 Josh. He can throw it a country mile. We're just not sure where its gonna come down. Maybe he spent too much time in the off season making commercials, playing celebrity golf tournaments, and chasing girls and not enough time practicing his passing. -
Too bad #11 is already taken.

Could Josh McDaniels get our Offense in Gear?

I wouldn't touch him with a 39 1/2 foot pole. Stink, stank, stunk. -
I don't know. At least in that game the Jets looked like a poorly coached team. All the penalties. Guys don't even know where to line up. Tons of false starts. Even given their QB situation, they looked like a train wreck.
-
Allen neutered himself in the opener by throwing 3 picks and fumbling. That's not the coaches fault. He plays like he's capable in that one and we've in first place in the AFC East. I know conventional TBD wisdom is it's all the coaches fault. A fair share of it is for sure. But Allen deserves a share too for his screw ups. He got the fat contract, he needs to produce like he deserves it.

Sorry I can't take anyone seriously that can't just give Coach McDermott credit for ending the 17 year looooooong drought. All the yeah buts are so tiresome and silly. Sure the team is not doing so hot right now and Coach McDermott as Head Coach deserves a lot of criticism. But just get off the he got lucky in 2017 thing. Do yall remember the drought? It was long and arduous and Coach McDermott got us out of it someway somehow. Give the man credit for that at least. If Coach McDermott were to be fired there would be teams lining up outside his door to hire him.

Perhaps it was at least in part because of 6,000,000 Jews having just been killed in the Holocaust? The western world felt guilty about it. I haven't really researched that aspect of it. There was a lot of fighting between Jews and Palestinians and Great Britain couldn't control it so they dumped it. I don't know, the past is a foreign country. They do things differently there. You're big on giving them a state, why not Virginia? Why do you think they did what they did? -
Not no, but HELL NO

Everybody celebrates everything these days. I find it extremely silly and often laugh at them.

Craziest stat shown last night's broadcast.

Its okay to throw picks and fumble if you can make up for it. In 2020, 2021, and 2022 he did. This year he's not. I think some of this might be due to Dorsey's offense, but not all. He could have dropped a dime on Shakir as opposed to overthrowing him by 5 yards for example. Why can't he throw a good bomb this year?Or pay attention to the snap vs the Jets for another example. The other guys mentioned that similar # of picks like Mahomes and Hurts are making up for it. Josh is now in first for picks with Jimmy G, Sam Howell, and Mac Jones. Not good company. -

Israel and Iran

Perhaps. Or maybe it would have just gotten us into the thick of it faster and we would have had invade Japan too cuz we wouldn't have had time to build the nukes. I don't know, and you don't either. You say deterrence only but what if someone sinks one of our battleships or tries too? Then it's game on. Hopefully that does not happen but certainly could. -

This is good. I usually don't like John Stewart and almost didn't watch it, but it's funny and totally spot on. -

President Biden's trigger finger is getting itchy. He wants to get us on in another war. It's an election year and American's likely will not want to change Presidents in an "a time of war" or so he hopes. -
One other thing is Josh can't compete a long pass to save his neck this year. Seems to overthrow them by 5 yards.
-
I took that to mean he wanted the offense to pull their head out of their you know what and score some freaking points.

True about the Indians. We stole their land and made them walk hundreds of miles on the Trail of Tears. 15,000 died. But you know what? They don't do terrorist attacks on us and many fought for us in WWII and other wars. Not saying that makes it ok, but it is what it is. I really wish they could negotiate a peace. Hopefully they will someday. -

Neither side had clean hands. Can we agree on that?
