And don't let the door hit you in the ass

Not defending the legitimacy of Walker Texas Ranger, but Chucky was something of an accomplished martial artist before he stepped in the TV and Movie business. -

That's awesome how you're able to go back in time and read the minds of the Democrats that voted for something. Even if your right, what does that say about your Democratic leadership that they were such pussies that they'd rather compromise their principals and put hundreds of thousands of lives at risk in a war they felt was unjust and that they didn't want than to risk their chances at reelection because they were called some names? This is in no way a defense of Republicans. It's just meant to point out that you're full of sh-- by solely blaming one side.

Sorry if this has been posted, but I thought they were hilarious. Emmit Anthology Volume I Emmit Anthology Volume II Emmit's 2008 Mock Draft This site also has a decent analysis of the 2009 draft. It at least appears that the guy puts more than 5 minutes of thought into it.

I do, and I don't smoke. My capitalist colors are showing, but people will vote with their pocketbooks, and don't need gov't dictating business. Private businesses, from bars to hospitals, should be allowed to provide the legal products or services they want. It's like complaining about the music a radio station plays. If you don't like it, turn the knob. Don't look to the gov't to turn it for you.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29600900/ I'd love for a company to be able to turn itself around and show that it can be done without the taxpayers help. That would be a nice feather in Ford's cap. To be able to turn your company around without a bankruptcy or a bailout, and do it at a time when the rest of the economy, especially your industry is in dire straights. It's also amazing that the company that didn't have to come up with a new business plan so the gov't would give it money is so far the only one that's been able to renegotiate with the unions.

So the wife and I just bought our first home...

Just wait till stuff starts breaking. It's definitely better than renting though. You'll be happy you did it in the long run. -
You suspect right. I believe that the stomach represents your heart. Going back to the cliche that the quickest way to a man's heart is through his stomach. Billy Goat is obviously a stinky, hairy, old man. So I believe this is telling you that your heart will be or has been broken by stinky, hairy, old gay man. or The Billy Goat represents male virility, or basically a penis. Getting kicked in the stomach would knock the wind out of you leaving you breathless. So you are apparently thinking about a penis that you have come in contact with that has taken your breath away.

Had we followed the original bank bailout...
Joe Miner replied to Joe Miner's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Thanks for the reply. So how would you have dealt with these two problems? And Assuming those 2 problems could have been overcome, how would our situation be different today? -

I'm hoping guys like GG and bills_fan have time to give their input on this. They seem to have an excellent understanding of financial matters without being incredibly partisan about their opinions. -
Another thing that I've been told is that the FDIC doesn't have a time limit to get you your money.

Anyone Using Geothermal Heating?
Joe Miner replied to Gene Frenkle's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
As I said, I don't know if that's just the cost of the system, or the system + installation. I do know that my utility encourages it, and helps people get financing for it from a local credit union. As I said, call your utility and see what they can tell you. -
Anyone Using Geothermal Heating?

I have no idea about NY. Here is a link that might be helpful: http://apps1.eere.energy.gov/consumer/your...m/mytopic=12670 It says: I don't know if that's just the cost of the system, or the cost of the system + installation. Check your utilities website, and see if they have any information on geothermal that could be useful for your location. Or maybe just give them a call, I'm sure they have some sales people that could talk to you about it. My guess is that you're gonna need to live in your house about 10 years to pay for the upfront cost. But that's just a guess without knowing the actual installation costs, and average utility bills. I'm basically thinking of about $1000/year savings and an upfront cost of around $10,000. -

That's it exactly. If you're prepared to live there long enough so that your savings will make up for the upfront cost, then I'd recommend it. -
obama to create up to 250,000 new.....
Joe Miner replied to erynthered's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Sure, because every time there's a new stimulus plan that's passed, the states will just take their share, and use it to pay existing employees so they don't have to lay anyone off. No need to streamline for efficiency there like the stupid private sector has to do. -
I wish someone would tell my wife that

A year? Two? We'll have another stimulus well before a year. And more bailouts. -

To worry you a little more, Mayock was projecting him as a potential Pro Bowl FS and only an average CB at the combine.
