  1. The more I sit here and think about who I'd like to see with our first round pick the more I'm starting to like the idea of Upshaw now, I am definitely all for a WR or a LT but Upshaw would make this defense really vesitile. I know the knock on him was his lack of arm length and speed but now with Mario in the picture maybe Upshaw is a better fit. And if and when we go to a 3/4 Upshaw and Mario can both play LB with Barnett and Shep. Just a thought...
  2. I'm sure he LOVED Jason Taylor, who is 20lbs lighter than Freeny. BTW Speaking of... Jason Taylor was productive in his 30's why couldn't Freeny be?
  3. Yup first ever http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/buf/single-season-receiving.htm
  4. Catch up with the times? TE's have been big pass catchers for years, Have you heard of Kellen Winslow, Mike Ditka, Dave Casper or John Mackey? They handled a "pounding" that TE's today would crumble under and they put up similar if not better receiving stats.
  5. Really? TE's shouldn't be coupled in with wide receivers when you're talking about what it takes to be a WIDE RECEIVER. If we're just going to talk about positions and their stats just by a production standpoint than Chris Mohr is one of our best pass THROWERS with a QB rating of 118.7 in his career.
  6. I see a lot of talk on here about Stevie not being a number 1WR, what is a number1 wideout then? I'm asking because I believe the term is relative and cannot be defined completely by one or more attribute. Is it size, speed or hands? Andre Reed was no bigger or faster than Johnson is. Reed also dropped a few from time to time and made mental errors in key spots(penalty in the SB anyone?) Is it maturity? Reed and Moulds made some bonehead moves in their days and were at times known to be disruptive in the locker rooms. I'm not saying Andre or Eric weren't #1 WRs just trying to figure out why Johnson isn't according to some.
  7. This is ridiculous, Yeah lets keep the rebuilding process going instead of giving the guy who's had the 3rd best season in passing yards and the 5th best season in completion% in Buffalo Bills history instead of giving him another season to build on it. Yeah sure lets get rid of that guy for an unproven rookie because it will take us to the next level. One guy who has proven to be better than adequate and has been more than tough and durable vs. a rookie QB who is unknown in the NFL. Lets draft the lines, WR, LB and a CB and build on what we have please, instead of mortgaging a bunch of picks for a position we're okay at.
  8. Bills don't trade for Rob Johnson and select Fred Taylor instead
  9. I lived 3 miles away from my elementary school and I walked every day to and from school, took me about a half hour each way. Not saying that it's not a big deal for a kid to do that but for a parent to be arrested for it is totally absurd.
  10. Um yeah walking to school was a requirement for me, not a punishment and 4 miles is nothing.
  11. Nahh He went to 3 other bars that night before the accident, I was his first stop being he lived on the premises. This was two years ago and Ive already talked to authorities.
  12. I actually know this guy, used to bartend at the Polo Club and actually served him the night he killed that kid. The guy is a douche bag, a very wealthy douche bag. Not surprised by this, I could tell you stories about the arrogant lifestyle this guy led.
  13. I also disagree with those that disagree, so I guess I agree.
  14. What's ridiculous is the amount of negative attention these celebrations get. Who cares if they celebrate a TD? I mean I get it if they're delibratly taunting other teams or players but football is just a sport, it's entertainment. That's it. Vernon Davis was flagged for celebrating a TD in the NFC conference championship, so does that mean he's a detriment to the 49ers? A TD is the whole point of the game, let them celebrate if they score one, this is an indictment towards the nfl not tge fans. NFL is just entertainment, nothing more.
  15. I think a better example would be the Bengals believe it or not, They've turned it around twice in the last decade to become a playoff team.
  16. I know but for a rookie LB to have 5 sacks, 2 passes defended and 2 ff in their first 5 games isn't enough to say that anyone was a steal over him
  17. I love MD and wanted him all along. I would pick him over Miller 9 out of 10 times but to say he's a steal over Miller? Miller has looked pretty good so far I wouldn't say he was a steal
  18. Personally I don't think WR is as important of position that you take it with in the first 10 picks. You start with the lines and QB and build outwards. Just my opinion. We seem to be doing fine with a bunch of 7th round and udfa WRs.
