  1. We are all in on Fitz as long as Gailey is HC. I promise you that, like it or not. He firmly believes that this offense is too complicated for anyone to just pick up on.
  2. I saw the angle you were coming from, I was just teasing. Nix has done what many of us here were clamoring for however. Good teams get built through the trenches and I believe he's done a good job of that. I'm still a firm believer that the real problem with this team is coaching with QB being a very close second. I think if we change coaching staffs this offseason and let Whaley take over as GM we are in good shape. New regimes like to draft a franchise QB and I'd feel comfortable with the team that Nix has built for a rookie QB to come in and start. We have a good OLine, a good ground game, a solid WR and a solid TE. The situation should be ideal for any rookie QB and we can thank Nix for that much at least.
  3. Riggghhht. Because that's what Nix is known for, drafting CBs. Out of his 27 draft picks 4 have been CBs.
  4. ehh it happens sometimes though. Matt Schaub is an example.
  5. @ all the people saying we should have drafted Peterson. If we would have drafted a CB that high this board would have imploded. I'm very critical about Dareus however he was the best player available when we picked at a position of need. He led the team in sacks his rookie year playing multiple positions and has 2 sacks so far this year playing DT. I question his desire but not his skill, the guy may still be a bust yes but making that assessment 22 games into his career while playing in 2 different style defensive systems is ridiculous.
  6. We can't keep Gailey, coming into this season I was a huge Chan supporter but I've since changed my mind. I am completely perplexed by some of his late game play calling and his unwillingness to run the ball even though we are built for it and have great success. Furthermore his decision making as far as DCs goes is putrid. I like the roster and I'm okay with Nix/Whaley but Chan is not the man. He's an OC at best
  7. Agree, even more so they've done it without really blitziing. I think we can all agree that the defense sucks this year and has not lived up to expectations but they are getting to the QB at a much better rate than last year
  8. LOL I freaked when I saw that, not only dropping a DT into coverage but our best pass rusher to boot. We have 1 guy who is consistent at penetrating and we drop his 6 foot 300 lb azz into coverage. What a joke
  9. I agree that a new QB is vital I also agree that new coaching has to be priority number 1. I am convinced that when this team wins, it wins in spite of the coaching. I honestly can't remember the last time they won because they actually out coached the other team. The Bills need a coach who will not only impose his will on the other team but will also impose his desire upon his players. This team can win if put in position to, however I think they're rarely ever put in any position to win. As it stands, we're a throw first team that is built to run and a sit back and wait team that is built to get to the passer.
  10. I think he's commenting on our abysmal defense
  11. Fire Chan and Wanny and move Modkins to HC, Sanders to DC and Lee to OC. Can't be any worse than the catastrophe we have already. If they fall on their face at least we'll draft high, if they don't and surprise us then that's fine too. I don't care anymore
  12. Not disagreeing with you but its not like the Rams can't get to the QB. Quinn and Long alone have a combined 10 sacks so far this year and the Rams actually blitz from time to time.
  13. I would only be interested in Rivers, Romo and Vick are choke artists and injury prone.
  14. I completely understand the nature of the OPs thought process, I've had the same thought process myself. I can't tell you how many times I was fooled into thinking that this team was on the cusp of becoming a powerhouse because they were "learning to win the tough games". I was wrong every time. Last year was the best example of this when we came back to beat the Pats and Raiders. I've since come to understand that quality of win takes a backseat to consistency. Show me a team that can win division games on a consistent basis, a team that can win on the road and a team that doesn't quit no matter if they're in the lead by a lot or down by a lot and i'll show you a playoff team.
  15. lol Yes they did not give up yesterday and I'm stoked about that but "never" would imply that they played their hearts out the 2 prior weeks to this. Unfortunately that is false, they folded like lawnchairs. Hopefully this is a new never give up attitude we are seeing
  16. I thought this last year when we came back and beat the pats and the Raiders, then the season went to ****. I'm not bashing the fact that they win games like this, just that they need to do this PLUS win divisional games as well. his team will go nowhere unless they eventually learn how to win inside of their own division. I don' care if how good they look and in what style they win but beating the Jets, Fins and pats is how we take the next step.
  17. I don't get rooting against anyone on the Bills if you're a fan. I understand what you're saying as far as making a change but to root for a guy on your favorite team to fail is beyond me. Instead we should root that the light goes on for Gailey and he realizes that this is a run first team and futz manages the rest of the season well
  18. I've seen enough of Thigpen to KNOW he's not the answer
  19. Great post, I wasn't able to articulate like you but this covers my sentiments exactly. The guy loves playing for Buffalo and is loyal to his team and teammates, this alone speaks volumes this day and age. If you want to **** on the guy for trying to liven up this team of zombies be my guest but I see nothing wrong with it.
  20. Can't agree with this, Welker was a hell of playmaker in his first 2 years with Miami, enough so that the pats gave up a 2nd and a 7th for him. On top of that in 2008 when Brady was hurt most of the year Welker caught 111 passes with Cassel as the starting QB. I can't stand the guy but to say that he's not crap without Brady is simply not true.
