  1. Good weed doesn't compare to a coke or opiate addiction and it's not even close.
  2. I think we should draft a LDE, push Mario to MLB, then push Alonso to OLB, then push Hughes to SS and then push A. Williams to FS. THEN we can let Byrd walk.
  3. One guy who I'd really like to draft IF he declares is Kelvin Benjamin. He may need a year or so to develop but this kid will be a beast. He's 6'4 230 and runs in the 4.4/4.5 range. He comes from Glades Central HS right up the road from me which breeds NFL players. Just to name a few off the top of my head: Fred Taylor Santonio Holmes Anquan Boldin Reidel Anthony Louis Oliver Travis Benjamin I played against Belle Glade all 4 years in HS. I've watched Fred Taylor up close and personally and I've seen Boldin from the stands when he was a QB(he was a year or two behimd me). I've gone to games from time to time since those days and I can tell you that this kid Benjamin took over a game like no one else that school has had since either of those guys.
  4. Man of steel, although Superman returns wasn't all that great either. Man of steel though wanted to tell so much and be action packed too. It seriously could've been a 2 parter. They spent too much time on Krypton, then showed flashbacks of him growing up, then how he builds a relationship w Lois, then Zods impact on humanity, then his confrontation with Zod, then him settling in as Clark. Waaaaay too much for a 2.5 hour movie substance wise and then to throw in some battle sequences and you have an overstuffed sausage leaking at the seams. I really wanted to like it but it was a soup sandwich.
  5. Ive become a fan of Robey, my buddy refers to him as the housefly.
  6. And out of the QB sweepstakes of last year it seems as though Russell Wilson(a 3rd rounder) was the best pick.
  7. But that could be said about any team in any round in any year. THATS why it's WHO we pick and not WHERE pick. Losing on purpose is a ridiculous idea and a losers mentality. The Bills could have drafted Wilfork instead of Lee Evens that year, think about the difference that would have made. Near misses have very little to do with draft position and a lot to do with drafting ability.
  8. Because when he zips it the ball seems to hit the recievers in the head or go thru their hands.
  9. Guess I missed him, I made mistake. So in the last 25 years between those 4 teams who have accounted for almost half of the SB wins in that span they have drafted a total of 5 top 5 picks. 2 by the Ravens 1 by the Pats, 1 by the Giants and 1 by the Pack. Only one of those picks was a QB-Eli. Sorry I was half asleep when I typed the earlier post.
  10. I mock a losers mentality, if you take it personally then you should take a look at that. Lets take a look at a few recent super bowl winning teams that are known as teams that build through the draft: Steelers Ravens Giants Patriots Want to take a guess which teams have picked in the top 5 in the last 20 years? Only 1. The Gints in 2004 picked #4. The last time the Steelers or GB picked in the top 5 was 1989 and the last time the Pats did was 1994. So please elaborate on how finishing with a higher draft pick equates to winning a championship. Where you draft has a much smaller roll than who's doing the drafting and looking back at our last draft I'm willing to give up a few spots for a couple of wins. I think Whaley did well this time around and I'm willing to bet we have another good draft regardless of where we pick, whether it be 6 or 13.
  11. Last year we picked 8th, traded it away and got our best pick and possibly one of the steals of the draft in the second round. Are you telling me if we would have picked 7th instead not only would we have better picks but it would have been worth it to endure another loss or two?
  12. A win is a win and I like to win. I don't give a damn what a L does for us. Some are okay with loses I guess. Those that advocate an L are just finding moral victories through defeat. "It okay to lose because now we draft 4th instead of 7th!!! Yay!!" Eff that BS, save moral victories for little league.
  13. Seriously, this lose out for better draft position thing is laughable. It's kitty BS. I wouldn't want to be part of any team that lost on purpose much less a fan of such a team. It's a loser mentality and B****made. Bunch of kittens who root to lose should go find another team to "root" for.
  14. Exactly. I don't want to hijack the thread however the Stevie thing has been beat to death over the last couple of years. I don't know if Marrone is the answer but I'm certain that he should be given more than 13 games and an inherited roster to prove himself. I want to think he's the guy but I'm reserving judgment. This board is so quick to judge. If it were up to us, we'd have traded Mario and Fred, given up on Dareus, Mckelvin, A Williams and Spiller. We'd have released K Williams and Stevie. We'd bench Byrd for the rest of the season and Jeff Tuel would be our starting QB. Point being that this board doesn't know #%^* when it comes to running a football team. It's okay to have our opinions but some people get so passionate about being right that it becomes laughable. We should just sit back and try to enjoy Bills football without slitting our wrists.
  15. Oh is discussing strategy and in depth analysis on opponents a trait of a good coach? I wasn't aware. Are the belichicks and harbaughs known for this?
  16. BuffaloBill is known around town as Whopper Sr. Not because of his affinity for Burger King, but because he is larger than life and is more than enough for any one woman.
  17. I wish I could like movies like this but Hollywood has shown time and time again that they don't care about any kind of substance. Special effects aren't special anymore, technology has made it so even smaller budget movies can incorporate them. Give me something with dialog and a solid plot that minimizes explosions and firefights. I know I'm judging Godzilla without seeing it but Hollywood broke my spirit with the Superman reboot, God that was disappointing. It was like watching 10 pounds of sausage being stuffed into a 5 pound bag.
  18. Agreed BUT lets not forget how bad those Bills looked in Gaileys first year. Starting 0-8 and struggling to a 4-12 season. People called Spiller a bust his first year.
  19. From what I can tell Whaley has done a good job. He made a couple of good trades(Hughes and Lewis) I like the FA pickups(Lawson and Branch) and I like this draft so far. I'm very glad you don't run this team.
