It's the fanatics double standard, if a player wants to get payed top dollar or wants to play for a winner then they're being greedy but if a team wants to cut a player to save money or if a player is over performing their rookie contract and the team holds out on extending him it's considered smart business.

I've fought MMA for several years, I occasionally train and fight with women fighters. In fact all of us guys and girls occasionally train together, it's very common. Talking to some of those girls, if they were to hit their boyfriend/husband and he didn't fight back and instead did the "gentlemanly thing" they would probably leave him. Their words not mine. This isn't the 1930's, things are different now and a lot of women out there are vicious. Guys who don't fight back when a woman starts attacking hardcore these days get their asses beat. Lol in fact I just talked to a girl while I was typing this who does graphic design for me. And she said if she were to beat up on her BF and he just took it like a "gentleman" she wouldn't want to be with someone who was such a kitty. Things are different nowadays. I'm not saying it's okay to hit women, it's not. BUT if a woman is kicking your ass...

It's called overthinking the process. Too many times players will pass the eye test and get passed up for whatever reasons. Usually some physical shortcoming(no pun intended)

In fact, now that I look every team that has won a Super Bowl in the last 13 years ALL of them had a pro bowler at one of the two safety positions. Pro bowler meaning the safety has at least one pro bowl appearance, I THINK all of them had more than one if I'm not mistaken. That's an interesting.

This goes on all the time in all classes, not just the NFL. They just happen to be under a microscope as players. Check your local booking blotter everyday. You'll see both men AND women arrested every single day for domestic. Numerous people every day, not just a couple.

Gilmore is going to be a good CB in years to come. CB is one if those positions that generally take a few years for a young corner to master. I've seen a few posters on here dog the kid, I think he's going to surprise them. People seem to not have patients with players anymore, if they're not preforming up to standards in the first couple if years they're labeled a bust. CJ, MD and Aaron Williams come to mind. His aggressiveness is going to be an asset soon even though it's been detrimental so far. The better this kid gets the more he'll be able to get away with, ala Revis.

I had this exact same thought in the shout box a month ago, except I'm not sure CJ gets you a first. I'm thinking more like a 2nd and a conditional 5th or 6th. I'd like to see them draft Carlos Hyde with one of their 2nds or their 3rd to back up Freddie and have him take over next year. I think Hyde is more fit for Marrones offense, Spiller to NO just makes too much sense for them. I'm not one for trading away good players that were drafted by the Bills but CJ is going to ask for a lot of money after next season and I just don't see the Bills ponying up the cash.

I can understand people thinking he's underachieving, but to constantly attack someone that has shown loyalty to a team and a city that has had a lack of loyalty from players in the past is mind numbing. From what I've been reading Lions fans didn't like him, thought he was overrated and over paid. There should be no plan B. If Byrd doesn't sign you franchise him again and develop Duke Williams to take over next year.

Trading Jerry Hughes would be asinine. He's got one more year on his contract, lets see if there's a place for him in this defense. If there is, we resign him, if not let him walk. Anyone who thinks Hughes will net more than a 5th round pick is nuts. I highly doubt any team is dumb enough to risk a high draft pick for someone who may be a one year wonder, especially if that guy is a FA at the end of the season.

I'd love to have him on the Bills. He's exactly what this defense needs to be complete. I could care less about his attitude. Plenty of very good defenders have attitude problems, I think its more of an asset then the occasional detriment.
