  1. I believe they keep all 4 and do without a FB this year. Both Fred and CJ are FA after this season and I'm guessing they only resign one.
  2. I have to throw my 2 cents in and represent for the HS players from Belle Glade/Pahokee(my area) Johnny Rutledge Reidel Anthony Fred Taylor Santonio Holmes Ray McDonald Travis Benjamin James Jacks on Kelvin Benjamin Anquan Bolden Ricky Jackson Jessie Hester Devin Hester Jacoby Ford Julian Battle<-- he actually Wally Pipped me, sprained my ankle and he went on to be a 3rd pick for KC Just the ones I remember seeing play or played against. There's quite a few more that made it but I'll have to research it. Just for perspectives sake, the combine population for those two cities is about 20,000
  3. Okay, I can't argue that. It just sounds like a ridiculous reason to dislike the guy when there's so many legit ones. Reminds me of when people were calling him the antichrist
  4. Love Spikes, love his attitude. He's a middle linebacker not a politician.
  5. I think this team will be a playoff contender even if EJ just turns out just better than average. There's a lot of talent on both sides of the ball, I'm more concerned with Marrones abilities at this point. I do like him better than Gailey but I'm not convinced yet that he's the guy. I think another poor year and Whaleys got to consider making a change there. Whaley I trust at this point, he's done nothing so far to prove to me otherwise.
  6. I'm no fan of Obama but I always find this gripe hilarious. This is a small sample of why people thing the right is full of nutjobs. Many presidents have bowed to foreign leaders, you can twist it anyway you like just as most do.
  7. So basically BOTH parties not doing whats best for Americans. Weird.
  8. I think Thad did well last year considering the circumstances. He has a certain fire or attitude about him that I like, and while he will probably never be a top end starter in the NFL, I do think he's a decent backup who now knows the system. I'm not sold on Tuel as anything more than a 3rd stringer. He seems to float almost every one of his passes, didn't see any zip in the KC game last year.
  9. I don't take this as snarky, I appreciate the response. I enjoy reading your insight and you have more X&O knowledge than I. So I do differ to you as well as others on this board. Let me ask you this, do you think being a HC and experiencing a broader view of how to operate a team may change how he views analytics and the impact they have on the game? Football doesn't equal baseball when it comes to stats, there are too many variables but the fact that he may have been a bit ahead of the curve and refined his approach may impact things like where and when these analytics are actually vital. Seems like he may be able to teach Marrone a thing or two, OR he's just hapless and it may potentiate a failing idea that stats are paramount in game planning and adjusting. Just looking for some different off season discussion other than Watkins, Dareus, EJ or the regular whining.
  10. I posted this article in thread a few days ago and I think it's a good read. So I wanted to start a topic on it to discuss this guy. Frankly the hire initially scared me and reminded me of Wandstadt. Then I heard a lot of the buzzword "fits" and I got a little more nervous, so I did some research and found this. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/23/sports/football/23titans.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0 I guess it makes sense why this regime chose coach Schwartz knowing the value they put on analytics. Just curious if this read makes anyone feel better or worse about the guy. I like what I'm hearing out of OTAs but until I see them on the field I feel cautious. There's a lot of talent on this D, this is not the season to experiment IMO. I'm a little more optimistic after reading this.
  11. People discount Mario's ability against the run and the effect he has on the offenses accountability. Without Mario, everyone on the Bills defense is a little bit worse.
  12. +1 Enough the bleeding deacon nonsense. He's a 20 something kid who smokes weed and races cars. Big deal. Who cares?
  13. It's funny that you bring up Schwartz's system. I've been reading about his system and came across this 2008 NY Times article today http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/23/sports/football/23titans.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0 Not sure if that article has been posted before but I see now why this is the guy that the FO went for. He's the Billy Beane of DCs apparently.
  14. Oh you mean the guy who got his act together as he got older and was a main ingredient in helping his team win the SB? Yeah great point, let's get rid of Dareus now so he can go on to help another team and lets do it because he likes to smoke weed, drag race and he's late to meetings. Yep, sounds like a young rich kid. Thank God Whaleys in charge and not members of this board.
  15. Pretty much anything MMJ covers, but this one is my favorite. It's Erykah Badu covering My Morning Jacket covering Erykah Badu.
  16. Hit the nail on the head. Partisanship has made people dumber and dumber through the generations. Trump is a jackass, regardless of his bank account. I'm actually a registered republican but wouldn't support a dolt like that for a million dollars. It's really too bad that the right has turned into the junk heap it's become. This country is screwed, and IMO it's because people blindly support jerkoffs like Trump just because of his affiliations. Same holds true for the left. An a-hole is an a-hole.
  17. Nickell "The Flea" Roby is an absolute beast. His instincts are pretty remarkable.
  18. I believe that we may have one of the most talented front 7 in the league if not the most talented from starters to depth. How well they play together is up to Schwartz and his scheme. I'm really hoping Whaley had more to do with that hire than Marrone. Whaley has earned more trust with me than any Bills brass has that I can remember.
  19. I'm guessing not as many times as you've pulled Trumps line out.
  20. I actually like our DE situation. Branch is a beast against the run, Hughes for a pass rush and Lawson can set the edge or even drop back in zone and allow Alonso to blitz. Obviously Mario on the other side is set.
  21. How do you find time to type with both of your hands down Trumps pants?
  22. Is money your qualifier of intelligence? Seems by this statement that somehow the two must go hand and hand. You must be a real fan of the collective IQ of Paris Hilton, Kanye West and Justin Bieber. Those three must be Einsteins. Point is that you can be rich and still be a moron, you just have to be good at something. Trump is good at business and self promotion. Still doesn't mean he's not a mouth breather. He may be a real estate mogul by day but at night he's taunting people thru the media like some clown. He doesn't get a pass for being a nut because he's rich, just like Bieber doesn't get a pass for being a douche because he's rich, in my world at least. Truth is that maybe he's not as dumb as he acts, maybe it's just part of his self promotion. Maybe suing Bill Maher to prove that his mother isn't really an orangutan was just another self promotion, or maybe he really wants the world to know his mom was a human and Bill Maher was wrong. Either way it's moronic.
