  1. Sorry but I think it's a terrible idea. You can't force people to get help, they have to want it, and I believe that if someone in the NFL "wants it" then they already have the means. The addiction treatment industry is worth upwards of 34 billion dollars. Fact is if a player makes the salary he does then he can seek out the help he needs if he wants it, if he doesn't want it then he has more misery to obtain before he might give sobriety a chance. Cris Carter is 100% on point when he says to cut Josh Gordon, maybe that'll be enough of a bottom for him, than again maybe not. I see people hit new bottoms everyday with addiction in my line of work. The NFL can have all the programs they want, it doesn't mean $#^% if the player isn't ready, and as frustrating as it might be ONLY THE PLAYER can decide when they're ready.
  2. I thought this was interesting. Nate Silvers take on where Lebron should end up. http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/lebron-james-shouldnt-stay-in-miami-or-go-to-cleveland/
  3. I can't say I disagree with that list. Unfortunately.
  4. I know a lot of this is said in jest but somewhat true also. One thing Kiko brought to the table that will be missed is that the guy made big plays in crucial moments, that will be missed. Side note: I've now owned 2 Bills LB jerseys - Kiko and Sam Cowart. I think I'll abstain from buying anymore jerseys from current Bills players. I'll wait until they retire from now on.
  5. Marcellus Wiley Phil Hansen Sammy Morris Larry Centers Terrance McGee Sam Rogers Ken "no hands" Irvin
  6. Watkins plays for Buffalo, Nitwhit has consistently bashed Buff and it's fans. I couldn't care less who started it. As Watkins is a Bills player and a fan- I'm taking his side, especially against Nitwhit of all people.
  7. I just hope he stands by it, I don't care if I disagree with someone's views, but I can respect someone that will at own up to their beliefs. I can't stand phony apologies.
  8. I like Thad, I think he's a solid backup. He did well considering he was late to join the team and played catchup most of the year. Seems to have a fire and tough too.
  9. I know Dareus isn't, I was just stating that he's played there before. As far as Branch goes, I thought he was a DE. I may be wrong, I'm not an X's and O's guy
  10. Aren't Hughes, Lawson, Branch and Mario our DEs? Also Dareus has played there I believe. I like our depth at DE. Branch was a stud at times last year, especially against the run. I don't see a place for an over priced, aged DE like Babin. With Branch in on running downs, that makes Mario the lightest on the DL, and that's saying a lot for a 6'6 290 lb DE
  11. I may be wrong, but as last season progressed didn't the Bills slow it down and eat up some clock when they had a lead? I seem to remember thinking that they had somewhat learned to change the pace when having to.
  12. Who really cares? Can someone explain why it matters if AH and Spikes are friends?
  13. "The one comment that gives us pause about Richardson came from general manager Doug Whaley when the Bills traded for Mike Williams earlier this offseason. Whaley said that a sixth-round pick, which the Bills gave up for Williams, may not make the team's roster this season. Being a fifth-round pick gives Richardson more security, but perhaps the Bills wouldn't have a problem parting with a later-round draft choice" Really? That's Rodaks reasoning?
  14. Well if there's no need to play the run than I don't see why the Bills just go with 8 DBs at all times. This way they can be ahead of the curve and thwart old man Brady. I mean seriously, it's not like the Pats can just pound the rock.... Oh wait
  15. Don't forget Benny Hill On the topic of parents "raising" their kids, my favorite is the moms and dads that yell at their children for playing video games while they have their own faces in front of a cell phone playing candy crushes.
  16. Not disputing that, but who raised those generations? Where does accountability end with one generation and begin with the next? Again, I just think its something interesting to discuss,.
  17. Mark my words that the next "trade so and so" thread will be Spiller. If he struggles during preseason or at the begining of the season people will want to get something for him before he becomes a FA.
  18. I actually think this is a good topic, but I think it goes farther than climate change. Boomers are responsible for some good too, however a lot of that good has turned into a pothole of stupidity. IMO thru a lack of guidance and accountability. Just look at something like the internet or cell phones, great contributions to humanity but the generations "raised" by the boomers were actually raised by the technology they created instead of parenting themselves. Family structure deteriorated, companies were sent overseas, we've learned to stop curing diseases and treat them instead because the profit is higher and so on. I'm not saying the boomers haven't done a lot of good(civil rights etc.) but I think it's an interesting topic at least.
