  1. Brett wanted to come back to the Packers, but they said no, because they wanted to move on with Rodgers. So no, Brett didn't screw the Packers at all, they were quite happy to let Favre walk, and today are in a much better position because of it, as they have their quarterback of the future. Also, we can blame management for the Oline all we want, but as of last year, and only as of last year, we've done a decent job of getting pieces in there. We got Wood and Levitre, which is a good start, there are still a few more pieces to go, but we're getting there. Next year we replace Bell with a good solid vet, or a high draft pick, we move Wood to centre where he belongs, Butler will be back at RT, and there you go, we're a LT and a RG away from having a pretty good young offensive line.
  2. I would still take Cutler over Edwards, without a doubt. It's really a no-brainer. Cutler has struggled but the guy can throw the ball, he's going to turn things around. I find it funny when people say that Orton is much better than Cutler, it's not true at all. Cutler is going to be a hall of famer when all is said and done, you can book it.
  3. Most people tend to keep the sticker on the brim anyway. Just sayin'
  4. If we win out and make the playoffs, Dick can stay as long as he wants.
  5. That's what I thought. He was hitting real hard against the Browns. I think he was our best defensive player, along with George Wilson.
  6. Really? Bills fans aren't doing their job???
  7. Bill What are your thoughts on Jairus Byrd? He impressed me, though it was against the Browns. He plays with a lot of emotion and energy, he flies around the field (I thought he was all over the place), and he hits really hard. I wasn't a big fan of this pick at first, but he looks like a serious player.
  8. It means that one area where JP acutally did do well was in the long passing game. He could throw a pretty nice long ball, and the biggest thing is he wasn't afraid to throw the ball downfield in any situation.
  9. You do care enough to argue because you're here arguing. I think you're a Fred Jackson 'worshiper.'
  10. I'm a Bears fan second, mostly since they got Jay Cutler. Don't know why, but I'm a big fan of this guy, and I think the Bears made a great move trading for him. In my opinion, he'll go on to have a great career with the Bears, win a couple of rings, and make the Hall of Fame when it's all said and done.
  11. How is that obvious? I don't think that's the case at all. I think "obviously we can see" that Lynch is better than Jackson. It's your own opinion, and a lot of people disagree with you. You just run your mouth like everything you say is fact. I think you're delirious. So you took a 4-game sample of one back, and a 2-game sample of another back, and compared the two statisticially. I could take any random 4-game sample of both Lynch and Jackson and find better numbers for Lynch. You must be one of those people who just sit at the computer and read stats all the time, and don't bother watching the games. Why are you so intense in your support for Fred Jackson? Obviously we can see Lynch > Jackson. I really don't get it. It's a 3-13 club with trouble everywhere and certain morons are obsessed with defending Fred Jackson like it's a damn religion. WTF?
  12. Wow, the original poster is way off... Watching today, I noticed how much more effective Lynch is when he's in there. He drags the pile for an extra 3 yards from initial contact every time. I was watching Jackson get stopped in his tracks by one player each time he got the ball. You can't tackle Lynch with one player. I think that Lynch is more explosive, much more durable, and a lot more difficult to tackle. Maybe Jackson gets the edge in speed but I'm not even so sure of that, Lynch is pretty fast too. He also proved today that he can be just as effective in the passing game. The biggest thing about Lynch's game is that he can wear down a defense because of his size and strength. It takes a lot out of a team when he gets the ball and can pound the defense throughout the game. By the time the 4th quarter comes, if used effectively, the defense is banged up and running out of energy, that's Lynch's best time. If he ever played for a winning team that wasn't always playing from behind and gave him the ball 25 times a game, he'd have a chance to win the rushing title. If you gave Jackson 25 carries a game, he'd be beaten up by the halfway point of the season. Not sure he'd make it through 16 games as a starter. I don't know how you could watch today's game and believe for a second that Jackson is better. Beast Mode is back in full force, they need to let him pound the ball. I'm a big Jackson fan, no bias here, I think they're a great tandem and he compliments Lynch well, but Lynch should be getting the majority of the workload.
  13. I agree on Byrd. Even before the interception, he had thinking, this guy is a serious player. He probably showed the most emotion out there on defense, him and George Wilson. He was all over the field, and the guys hits really hard. The play just topped things off. Great game for him, I'd like to see him starting with Whitner back there once he's healthy.
  14. St. Louis Rams, Tampa Bay Bucs, Oakland Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs...they MIGHT be better than Carolina and Washington, but we can't say for sure. I don't think they're better than the winless Titans.
  15. I liked McDaniels running around, pumping his fists after the game. Great to see a coach showing emotion like that. Wish we had someone like that.
  16. Fair enough but not the type of response you'd look for from your field general. I would have hoped for some emotion and fire and anger. Something like "yeah, I would have boo'd, we can't play like this. We expect so much more from this team. We shouldn't be losing games like these..."
  17. Anyone taking predictions on when he gets the axe? I'll take tomorrow afternoon.
  18. As soon as we find someone better. Which might be never, sadly. Trent sucks!
  19. bye bye Dickie
  20. Wow, he said that Edwards isn't as good as Carson Palmer? Crazy!
  21. I don't think Bradford or McCoy are the answer. There aren't really any quarterbacks out there with a strong enough arm. I would like to see someone out there with a cannon. How did we pass on Jay Cutler?
  22. I have always been a fan of Cutler. It's bad enough we passed on him in the draft. It's even worse that we didn't go after him this offseason. We'd be 3-1 at the least with him.
  23. I lied. Captain checkdown returns
  24. So it takes a pick-6 to realize that you can't checkdown every play?
