  1. shooting themselves in the foot, big third down.
  2. let's go Bills!!! finally a game to get excited about
  3. guys, would you relax, he was just saying what he thought about Cowher when he didn't take the Buffalo job and how his feelings have changed since then, and he was sharing his condolences. RIP my prayers are with the Cowher family.
  4. Well if the team moves then you'll be happy you won't have to hear it anymore. I'm 20, I've been a Bills fan for only 10 years, and even I love the song and appreciate the tradition that comes with it.
  5. McKelvin started at corner for quite a few games over the last couple of years. He was learning very quickly and becoming a very good starting corner back. I think he'll be the starter on opening day over Florence.
  6. I disagree with this, Byrd's always been a ballhawk his whole career, he had a lot of interceptions with the Ducks and it's not a total fluke when you have THAT many interceptions in one season. Yes some of them were lucky but part of being a ballhawk is having the sense to be in the right place at the right time. Byrd was the one always in the right place, I don't think you can call that luck. Also, one of the early things I noticed about him before he started getting all of those interceptions was that he's a very hard-hitter, and seems like a consistent tackler.
  7. Jets - Revis Patriots - Edelman Dolphins - Marshall Bills - Pozluszny Colts - Manning Texans - Daniels Titans - Young Jaguars - Jones-Drew Chargers - Jackson Raiders - Asomugha Broncos - Bailey Chiefs - Charles Steelers - Dixon Ravens - Flacco Browns - Cribbs Bengals - Palmer Giants - Manningham Cowboys - Austin Eagles - Jackson Redskins - Cooley Falcons - Ryan Saints - Brees Buccaneers - Ward Panthers - Stewart Rams - Atogwe 49ers - Willis Cardinals - Fitzgerald Seahawks - Tatupu Packers - Rodgers Bears - Cutler Lions - C. Johnson Vikings - Peterson
  8. I disagree with this. I think the jury's still out on Cutler, but he should still be a good quarterback. He's not in the same ballpark as Russell, that's for sure. He threw a lot of interceptions last year but he also made a lot of big plays. I think he'll bounce back in a big way this year. He should be a great quarterback in the league. Leinart hasn't really had much playing time yet, so I'm not going to comment on him. Also I don't know why you're posting about Young, Young stepped in for Collins last year after the Titans' terrible start, and he had a great season. He's emerged as the starter again with the Titans, and he led that team to a lot of wins last year, and back to 500. ball after a dismal start.
  9. No, we wanted Spiller. He's so good. I wouldn't doubt that in some years he could have gone first overall.
  10. Too bad the Lynch-Marshall trade didn't go through. I would have traded Lynch for Marshall, drafted Spiller, traded a fourth for Campbell, and then draft 2 tackles with our next picks. I honestly think that would give us a great offense. Campbell firing to Marshall and Evans, a coach who knows how to use Parrish, an emerging Stevie Johnson, and an exciting running back tandem of Fred Jackson and CJ Spiller? Yes please!
  11. But there is a Josh Johnson on the Bucs. He started quite a few games last year at QB.
  12. I bought a T.O. jersey knowing he would leave after a year. Just knowing he's one of the best receivers to ever play the game and that he played for the Bills makes me happy to wear it.
  13. I don't think anyone thought you were crazy for thinking Lynch wants out of Buffalo. People thought you were crazy for basing that fact just on what Buddy Nix said.
  14. I agree with this completely. You can't just look and say, oh they were 3-13, they weren't ready to compete. The difference between Rob Johnson and Drew Bledsoe could easily have been 10 wins. Doesn't matter what players you have around you, if you don't have a QB you're not going anywhere.
  15. Yet some of the most exciting prime time games over the past few years have involved the Bills...I think we have a chance for a couple.
  16. Also, how does "constant beration" by fans rekindle a player's love for the game? If I'm a professional athlete, angry fans isn't going to make me love football. Maybe it'll motivate me to prove them wrong, MAYBE, but more likely than not I just won't care. It certainly won't make me love football.
  17. Yeah, I don't agree with this at all, how can you claim to know who loves playing football or not? I agree with you on Trent Edwards, I think it's a career for him, and I mean it's a career for everyone but some people have football in their veins, for Trent I honestly think he doesn't care. But I can't say for sure. Mitchell loves football, I'm almost positive that he loves the game and he loves being a part of it. Same with Donte Whitner, Lynch, and Maybin. Also, I see no evidence that Parrish, Chambers, Ellis, Denney, Brohm, or Hardy don't have a burning passion for the game either. Seems to me like you're going by performance on the field. Parrish is just a guy who's trying to get on the field. Doesn't mean he doesn't love football. But some of those guys you list as saying love football are questionable, what makes you think they love football, what have the done to show they love football? In my personal opinion, I don't think Schobel's done anything to prove that he loves the game...has he? In fact he wants to retire, and he's not exactly over the hill. He's getting up there, but he's not there yet. What makes you so sure about all these guys? The ONLY people I'd agree about all of this with you is that McCargo and Trent MIGHT NOT care, and for all we know half the guys on the list of players who you say do care might just be there to collect a paycheck and can't wait to retire.
  18. hey, crazier things have happened.
  19. Also Trent was considered a steal for us in the third round, and I think the verdict is still out on Poz. Last year he looked like a very good linebacker. He could be a pro-bowler soon as long as he stays on the field.
  20. I liked his picks at first. In hindsight they didn't work out. But I thought he did a good job. I was alright with Whitner at the time. Wanted Ngata, like everyone else, but Whitner looked promising. Sure turned out better than Huff at least. The only pick I didn't like was McCargo.
  21. True enough, especially the Leafs. But those games are still crazy. Imagine how things would be if they were both competing for the division. Quite a few years ago when Carolina went to the Cup, we were so close to having a Leafs-Habs conference final. It would have been amazing. And I have to admit, as a Leafs fan, the Leafs/Habs games in Montreal are the best, period. Went to my first one on halloween, and the atmosphere was like nothing else, and for an early regular season game at that.
  22. You're right, we'll never be allowed to split up the teams, I'm just making a point of our tremendous depth. It's not our top players that makes Canada so good. It's not hard for a country to find 23 guys that are amazing at hockey. It's being deep. That's why the olympics doesn't allow Canada to showcase its deep talent in hockey. You're right about the pressure thing, it's kind of a switch of Salt Lake City...except one thing. The Canada-Russia game last night was more anticipated than the Gold Medal game will be. The build-up for it was tremendous. Nothing beats Canada-Russia, it's like how the rivalry in the NHL between the Habs and the Leafs will never be matched. Not even close, as good as some of the rivalries are (like the growing Pens/Caps, which I love). Anyone who's been lucky enough to experience Leafs/Habs know what I'm talking about.
  23. Here, look at this for example. Say this was our B team: St. Louis - Lecavalier - B. Richards Carter - Stamkos - Gagne Burrows - Fisher - Doan Cammalleri - J. Staal - Sharp Bouwmeester - Myers Robidas - Phaneuf Green - Regehr M. Staal Turco Ward C. Mason Coach: Sutter Assistant: T. Murray Assistant: Boudreau Can you honestly argue that this wouldn't be the best team in the tournament if you take away Canada A? What about our C team? Smyth - Spezza - Horton Wolski - Briere - Penner Neal - Weiss - Brunette Bourque - Zajac - Clowe Campbell - Jovanovski Letang - Blake Hamhuis - Phillips Barker Price Ellis S. Mason Coach: Tippit Assistant: Martin Assistant: Julien Captain: Smyth Assistant: Jovanovski Assistant: Phillips ALRIGHT, here's where it gets iffy, our D team: Whitney - Ribiero - Roy McDonald - Arnott - Peverly Moulson - Duchene - Stewart Raymond - Laich - Vermette Bieksa - Brewer Wideman - Burns Girodano - Morris White Roloson Elliot Giguere Coach: Quinn Assistant: Quenneville Assistant: Carlyle Captain: Brewer Assistant: Arnott Assistant: Whitney Our D team I can't say would hands down win it all, but it would have a chance. Now, imagine if you split up teams A and B, take some elite players and spread them around, add in checking lines on each team. You'd have four very even teams that could all easily have a chance to compete for gold.
