  1. I agree with you, Coy Wire is an absolute liability on this defense not only in the passing game but also stopping the run, he's not a solid tackle and his zone, and man to man coverage is terrible. He was also the one who got burned for the touchdown in the Panthers game last year which lost the Bills the game, surprise surprise. I think that if Whitner and Vincent play the whole game back there, with Simpson in once in a while and Bowen as the backup, NO COY WIRE, the Bills win this game. The Patriots wouldn't get their first touchdown of the game and Maroney and Dillon wouldn't have ran so productively all over the Bills' defense. I loved what I saw from Donte Whitner, I'm sold on this guy as our starting strong safety.
  2. For example, it was like after a Superbowl and asking the quarterback if he was too excited or something, and the quarterback says it was just a normal game, it doesn't mean he forgot it's the Superbowl, it just means he has that mentality, just using this as an example.
  3. Maybe he meant that he was going into the play thinking of it as a third down, therefore not feeling any pressure and just running it like a normal play, it's pretty hard to believe that a running back couldn't remember the down, especially seeing as how the coach had to make the decision, and also all the 4s looming around the stadium.
  4. It was a great call and anyone who doesn't think so is second guessing, which is easy. At the time it was the most sensible thing to do.
  5. When you look at the overall picture it looks the same way, they're 1-0 and we're 0-1.
  6. We saw suspect playcalling seeing as how they ran the same running play several times which resulted in a 1 or 2 yard gain in the second half. We also saw the Bills throw only one pass over 30 yards. We saw undisciplined football, the Bills got way too many penalties. We watched Willis McGahee get shut down in the receiving game with the exception of a screen pass. We saw the defense's inability to stop the run - everyone talks about how quick the defense is and that's great, but the front four has to have the strength to stop the run as well. Lastly, we saw the special teams struggle, which is rare for this team. As close as the score looks, the only positive that can be taken from this game is the fact that Losman looked comfortable and played well.
  7. I was only disappointed with 2 things today: Willis McGahee, and playcalling. They needed to throw longer to stretch the defense, Patriots knew what was coming every time, just short passes and runs up the middle. Willis was good in the first half and he looked a lot quicker, but in the second half he was stuffed up pretty badly, now this could have been because of the playcalling as I mentioned above, I guess we won't find out until next week.
  8. It was a though loss, but I do believe this team is headed in the right direction. This is different from last season, last season all we could say was: "Where is this team going. It's getting worse every season." Now they are heading in the right direction. The Bills walk in to New England on the opening day, quarterback with only 9 starts under his belt (going up against a quarterback with 3 Superbowl rings), and they make a game out of it. In fact, they should have won. Nobody likes losing, but sometimes a loss like this can change a team completely, now they can learn to avoid blowups like the one they showed today. It's a lot better for this kind of game to go down today, rather than later in the season when playoff implications are on the line. Let's all take a deep breath and wait until the Miami game.
  9. Sure we can rebound and maybe even learn a lesson from it, but no matter what way you look at it the Bills should have won this game and they didn't, wins are hard to come by in New England and it's hard to get any closer than the Bills were today.
  10. More second guessing, anyone can say what we should have done after the game, it was a good decision at the time and you look at it and say we were only inches away from winning the game.
  11. This was a huge divisional game on the road, it was one we had in our grasp and should have won. This could change the mindset of the entire team completely and the team could go downhill, sometimes I just feel that the Bills are taunting me, they take their early leads usually being the first to score, then they just suck and blow the whole game.
  12. Sure it's easy to second guess, but at the time it was a good idea, one simple yard ends the game, and the way the Bills were moving down field it was pretty hard to send the kickers on to the field.
  13. yeah but no matter what way you look at it the refs screwed us, also the playcalling was suspect, after the first quarter the Bills never threw a pass over 30 yards, New England knew what we were doing every play, either run or short pass. What the hell is wrong with that, the offense needs to do a better job of using Losman to his offensive capabilities.
  14. Why don't the refs just wear Patriots jerseys?
  15. Who said he's starting?? Is there a link??? This is bad...
  16. I have Evans and McGahee on the same fantasy team, I know it's bad strategy but I just have to have the Bills on my team or it doesn't feel right.
  17. 35 carries, 141 yards, 1 TD 4 receptions, 38 yards, 1 TD
  18. ha ha what else is new?
  19. I believe that even if the Bills lose this game, there's a lot of positives they should be able to take from it. What we need to remember is that the most important thing is that Losman and McGahee are getting the offense running smoothly, and also that the defense has the cover 2 working and looking like it did in 2004. As great as it would be to win this game, it's a 16 game schedule and of the 16 games, this is our most difficult opponent. If we lose this game but go down fighting hard, and Losman looks comfortable and the team looks smooth, we have a lot to look forward to this season.
  20. JP Losman will hook up with Lee Evans from 28 yards out.
