lol because a lot of people on this board are stupid! It's always "cut TKO because he hasn't recovered from such an injury right away", "Trade McGahee because he's no Tomlinson", "who needs Fletcher anyways", "Whitner is a bust because he was drafted 8th overall and he should be making big time plays", "Youboty is a big time bust", "Anthony Thomas would make a much better running back than McGahee, he fits the 'system'", etc etc. people say a lot of crazy things around here I remember with Clements, last year he was brutal and we didn't need him and we'd be better off starting McGee and getting a free agent in Nate's place, this year we couldn't possibly lose Nate because look at how bad McGee is. It's always something eh.

Colts over Da Bears

so pretty much all you're doing is second guessing. It's easy to say what could have happened and what we could of done, it wasn't so easy at the time though. We didn't know Mangold was going to become probably the best centre in the league and had Fowler so taking a centre wouldn't have filled our needs. Also, I think it's a little early for people to say that Whitner won't amount to anything, you can't expect him to be a big playmaker in his first year, he's just adjusting to the NFL, give him another year, if he doesn't turn out to be a superstar he'll atleast be a solid SS and will be capable of holding the position for a long time. Great post. Defensemen also take a long time to develop, perhaps another similarity?

You think our free agents are important this year??

JJ Arrington, 2nd round. -
Is this the "BIG" F.A. DT you're all looking for?

On the downfall? You mean it's gonna get worse??? -
ah thanks, in that case I would go for the college game too.

Jonathan Smith had F. Smith on his jersey, for Fast Freddy, didn't he?

Why do so many coaches prefer coaching college football as opposed to the NFL? Is it because there is a lot more money available in college football, and if so why is that the case? There is no cap for coaches in the NFL is there..

Pro Bowler Tony Romo appears to have lost "IT"
CFLstyle replied to taterhill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Romo, and Rivers, do not deserve to be Pro Bowlers. -
This reminds me a little of the game against the Bengals last season... If we win this, I guarantee someone will complain that our draft position it being lowered. It's expected. Go Bills!

Just watched the Titans/Bills game on TIVO
CFLstyle replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He wanted to get out of bounds so the Bills could get another play in before the 2 minute warning. He actually uses his head for once and people complain he has no balls? But when he's running hard and playing through injuries, he's an idiot. People are never satisfied. -
yeah but the Yankees are wayyyyy ahead of the next highest team in terms of pay roll, they still should be winning a lot more than they have been.

And Andre Davis is a special teams STUD, he won't be leaving any time soon.

Can Bills Draft Jarrett from USC?
CFLstyle replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well as much as I'd love to see him in a Bills uniform somehow I get the feeling that if the Bills have a shot at him, Marv will surprise us all and take someone else. -
Since my good points have been buried in other
CFLstyle replied to Fan in San Diego's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills won't be firing Fairchild any time soon, not only has he done a great job getting the offense and JP headed in the right direction but bringing in a new OC would mean getting another new system. 3 different systems in as many years is a great way to kill a quarterback's career. -
Assuming we don't ante up to Clements...

hey it's nothing against you just an observation there are a lot of people around who use the word a lot. -
Assuming we don't ante up to Clements...
CFLstyle replied to willis da illest's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
McGee's a bust because he's just not getting the KR TDs, Clements is a bust he only has 2 INTs, Whitner's a bust we took him 8th overall he should be playing like Ed Reed, Ko Simpson? Total bust did you see that tackle that he missed on LT? Brutal! Losman is a bust for sure, he's from California, can't you see the Rob Johnson in him? McGahee is a bust, we should have taken Larry Johnson instead, any idiot could figure that out. Schobel is a bust, he just gets "garbage" sacks. and the biggest bust of all is Takeo Spikes because he's not what he used to be after the injury. *sarcasm off -

wow people throw the word bust around a lot these days. I think I've heard atleast someone say that every player on the Bills is a bust! -

NFL Running Backs (ordered by yards) The ones I'd take over McGahee are in green. Ladainian Tomlinson - This goes without explanation. Larry Johnson - Top notch RB. Frank Gore - Love the way he's playing right now, I'd like to see more from him though. Tiki Barber - Retiring after this season. Steven Jackson - Very close to McGahee in overall talent, I like how he can catch the ball, it's close, but right now I'd stick with McGahee. Willie Parker - Very fast and elusive but doesn't show much power, also is VERY inconsistant. Rudi Johnson - I'll say what I believe, he's the product of a great system. Brian Westbrook - Can't carry the full load, not a power running back. Chester Taylor - Having a nice year but one year doesn't make a career, let's see him do it again. Thomas Jones - Not a top running back, that's for sure. Fred Taylor - Very good, in his prime I'd take him over Willis, but he's old and I don't know how much more we'd be able to get out of him. Travis Henry - He's coming around nicely in Tennessee but you think he's as good as Willis??? Edgerrin James - Yes, he's on the Cardinals and everyone who's on the Cardinals underperforms. But look at how Addai is doing with the Colts, he's having success as a rookie, I don't think James is as good as we thought he was. Warrick Dunn - Running back with lots of speed, still not a top running back. Norwood is sneaking up on him for the starting job. Jamal Lewis - Washed Up. Maybe 1 or 2 decent years left, 2000 yards was a fluke. Ladell Betts - backup running back, hasn't started a full season, looks good as a backup though. Julius Jones - Solid young running back, could be a lot more effective if given the chance to get goal line carries. Deuce McCallister - Slowed down after a knee injury, he can still play though but I wouldn't take him over Willis. Joseph Addai - Another product of a great system, still has been inconsistant. Ahman Green - Old and washed up. Tatum Bell - Speed is his only strength. Maurice Jones-Drew - Great running back but he's famous for 2 big games against the Colts this year, I'd like to see him start a full year before saying I'd take him over Willis. He is one hell of a back though. Ronnie Brown - Good RB, just not great. DeSahun Foster - No. Shaun Alexander - Yep, not much else to say, he's amazing. Cadillac Williams - Fading fast after an outstanding rookie year. Corey Dillon - He's just a power back now, he's old and I don't know how much longer he has. Kevin Jones - Injury problems, inconsistant. Lawrence Maroney - I think he's gonna be one hell of a running back, but he hasn't proven himself yet, so I wouldn't take him over Willis at the moment. Reuben Droughns - hah. no. Texans RBs - I liked Domanick Davis but that's 2 years in a row for the IR, will he ever bounce back? Jets RBs - Washington has potential, I guess... Raiders RBs - LaMont Jordan should not be a starter and Fargas is no better. Reggie Bush - He's looked brilliant and he's looked awful, I just don't think he has enough power to be a feature back in the NFL. He's perfect for the 2 back system in New Orleans. Jarious Norwood - Challenging Dunn for the starting RB position in ATL, he has a bright future. DeAngelo Williams - He may turn out to be a good kick returner. Marion Barber III - Has a nose for the endzone, not a starter though. Clinton Portis - He's good, but he seems to be injury prone. There are only 4 RBs I'd take over McGahee at the moment and looking at the draft it doesn't look like there's a big time stud coming out of that draft. Nothing obvious anyways. -

I'd be happy to keep McGahee and there are probably only 3 or 4 other running backs I'd take over him. -

CFLstyle replied to Kipers Hair's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah let's do that, we could sure use someone like JJ Arrington running the ball for us. People are acting like Willis just said he DOESN'T want to stay. In case some of you didn't realize, he said he WANTS to sign a contract extension -
45 yds-slightly inclement conditions

so why was he running out onto the field and then called back by the coach? Makes no sense to me. -
This Might Be An Unpopular Stance, But I Hope
CFLstyle replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would like to see the Bills play all of their starters and win this game. -
Then we better get a new RB to be his replacement, because Anthony Thomas is NOT a starting running back. And I can assure you that McGahee will be back for next season, and he may even sign a long term deal in the offseason.
