WILLIS!!!
-
Don't think it matters to him...
-
I actually found Tom Donahoe very reliable on draft day, he found a lot of good Talent. The only real miss he had was on Mike Williams and ANY GM would have made the same mistake, in fact if he didn't draft Mike Williams he would have been flamed on draft day. Donahoe's biggest down fall in my opinon was his inability to hire a coach, he misfired on every attempt.

I understand where you're coming from completely but I think that season ticket holders getting first dips is enough, football is football and it doesn't matter where you're from you should be able to attend games anywhere if you get your hands on some tickets.
-
Ah I disagree with this it should be first come first serve, if people from other cities are able to get their hands on some tickets then why stop them? Anyone should be able to go to a football game no matter where you live.

So now you're in charge of who is and isn't a true fan? Oh forgive me for sticking up for my running back, I guess I can't be much of a fan for sticking up for a player that's on the team. So judging by the "3 downs" comment, you're questioning my football knowledge because I'm from Canada and support the CFL, correct? It's basic knowledge, you HAVE to run the football to be successful no matter what league, no matter what level, no matter what country, it's a two way game and you will not win without a balanced selection of run and pass. It doesn't matter who the RB is, if we go away from the running game, we lose, it's as simple as that. -

Yeah I am detecting a trend, well over 50% of the people on this board are bigger morons than McGahee! First of all he never said the Bills should move, he said if Toronto were to get a team it should be the Bills because there's no point in having a team in both places; neither team would have much of a fan base. His personal life is completely irrelevent, bringing that up shows that you don't really have any feasable arguments against him. He was ASKED who the best RB in the league is, what did you expect him to say LT? Of COURSE he's going to say that he himself is the best in the league, if he didn't he would get flamed just as much for having no confidence in his own ability. And about the down thing, so what he's an idiot stuff happens, that's one of those things that you should just get used to and ignore, and how do you know it wasn't a joke? You're just speculating. Can you tell me that you know for sure 100% that is wasn't a joke? Of course not, you just hate Willis so you assume the worst. No, that's YOUR thought process. But it's true... In my opinon, your example sucks. You don't have a clue do you? No matter who the RB is you have to put the ball in the hands of the RB. Passing the football 50 times in a game will cost you more times than not. -

I don't see the big deal with this, he just said Toronto's a beautiful place and rather than getting another team there it should be the Bills, it's nothing against the fans or Buffalo, he just prefers the city of Toronto to Buffalo, like almost anyone in the world would. But then when he says: "I got a lotta love for Buffalo," he said. "I thank God for the whole situation. I'm trying to make them proud. I'm trying to do some things here." He gets no credit for that, nobody's making a new thread about that. He's right about what he said when talking about Bills fans in general: "A true Buffalo fan will tell a Bills player, 'You can't do this, you can't do that.' But once that player performs it's like, 'I told y'all he was the best player.'" -

What quote? -
Who said he was supposed to be great? He wasn't taken first overall, I think everyone's expectations are too high for a third round gamble. He fell that low for a reason, taking him would be a gamble, the Bills took that gamble and who knows if it will work out or not. I'm still hoping it will, but I'm not about to call him a "great player" and I havn't seen anyone call Youtboty great.

We're not drafting a DT on day one
CFLstyle replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that if we can get a big MLB that's fast and is great in run support, such as Patrick Willis, then we'll be fine with who we have rotating K.Williams, Hargrove, Tripplett, and McCargo. Everyone blames the defensive line for our problems against the run but is there any possibility that Fletcher had a large influence on that? He's undersized and it seems that all of his tackles were made after the running back had gone 4 or 5 yards, he was never really able to get in and stuff a running back. Don't know a lot about the cover 2 but aren't our DTs supposed to be small and fast? Dick knows how to run the cover 2 and maybe he's right in letting Fletcher walk, getting a bigger buy at the ILB position, and sticking with the fast DTs who can get to the quarterback up the middle. If we really needed a run stuffing DT then we would have taken Ngata last year. Just looking at it from a different perspective. -
Patrick Willis. He's freakin' awesome...
-
here we go with the stats again... so if he was so great then why was our run defense so bad?

Eagles better off without McNabb?

so basically you only judge players by stats is that what you're telling me? Stats are for losers.
-
Based on what? Did you not see his first season, he has shown that he has the ability to find the endzone plenty of times, so pretty much you're basing your senseless prediction on what he's done over the last 2 seasons. Improved offensive line for next year, he was playing injured this year BTW so if he is healthy next year he'll be a lot better, plus now he's faster than he was 3 seasons ago. I'm not saying he's going to go and get 13 touchdowns, but saying 8 or 9 is the MOST he could possibly get is rediculous, he got 13 touchdowns in his first season starting only 11 games. 13 or even 15 touchdowns isn't an impossibility for McGahee next season.

Bills may host 2007 Regular Season game in Europe
CFLstyle replied to MikeH's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If they were smart then they would do sort of like they do with the flex scheduling, wait until late in the year and do it then, don't announce the matchup until later in the year and make it between two teams that are out of playoff contention. Playing the game in Europe is a great thing because it promotes the game internationally, but it can't be a game with any playoff implications. -
We do have a nice group of receivers overall, but we don't have a possession receiver. We need someone like Plaxico Burress who can go up and get it sometimes, make the big plays. It's not a major need no, but a guy like Dwayne Jarrett would be a nice upgrade over Price...

JaMarcus Russell and Calvin Johnson entering draft
CFLstyle replied to MadBuffaloDisease's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't be worried about Kiwaukee Thomas, Anthony Thomas, Andre Davis etc, those guys we won't have any problem with. I just think that if we lose Clements then we need to get a veteran in there, we can't afford to get any younger in the secondary, I'd rather see the pick used on a linebacker or an offensive weapon, or Alan Branch I hear he's pretty good, and big.
