  1. It kind of sucks that someone lubed up that ball something fierce before that play. It would only be better if it was the Fins, but, of course, this would mean the team would have to make the playoffs.
  2. He is in talks for another one. The "plot" calls for him to tell Jimmy Johnson to cram it.
  3. After watching Meachem against PSU during the Outback Bowl, I think he would benefit from one more year at UT. I like him, but I would prefer a little more polish. I like Jarrett's talent (would also like to see him stay at USC), but do you think Marv and Dick will take a guy with even slight "character concerns?"
  4. Some projections have lynch going in the 20s, but do feel he will go higher in the draft. I think you consider him if you can trade for him late or the A-train goes elsewhere. If we do get him, the Ralph guys better not leave the keys in the injury cart.
  5. Good point, BoodckCL, but a Sabres cup winner will still sell a lot of tickets.
  6. You can never have enough RBs. The Broncos prove every year good RBs can be found in the late rounds. I think we have too many concerns to draft an RB 1st, but I can see one in the second if the Bills don't feel they can resign Willis.
  7. Wow. I guess two sport Jeff from ND has teams concerned. I would not take Bowe 12th overall. I would be willing to draft any of those RBs LSU has, esp. the power back who under the rader because of his injury history.
  8. I am not sure the times are decided yet. Do they have dates yet, even? We can also be "flexed in" if we are good enough, but I bet NBC will still take big markets over a good Bills team. If the Raiders get a SINGLE primetime game and the Bills don't, the conspiracy is on.
  9. Those LSU guys seem to be good picks. Everyone who comes out of there, in recent years, seems to translate well in the pros. After watching Bowe, I think he would be a good pick in the 3rd — even though he won't play ND's secondary every week.
  10. I think it's funny Wayne is asking for any suggestions from anyone on who to hire. The fish just pick bad coaches, besides Shula. They will likely overpay for a big name and have lackluster results.
  11. PSU fan as well. POZ might be at 12 because, despite a good season at a new postion, he came slow off his knee injury. I agree, we do need to stop the run, but POZ would be a guy Marv, who likes hard-working; character players, might have a hard time saying no too.
  12. For some reason, the Ford's hate firing people and making changes. Maybe that's why they are closing up several dealerships.
  13. His leaving would be worse than when Williams bolted to smoke pot in some far-off land. He leaves them with a major QB question (Daunte, Joey, or Lemon), an aging defense, and no clear replacement from within (I think they know better than MM). His leaving would likely cause outrage and possible legal action from their owner and would dominate headlines for a few weeks, as well. Don't forget, he has total control down there, so the postseason plan would have to change right away. I think he would eventually lead the team in the right direction, especially if they added some offensive line help. From a Bills' fan POV, Saban leaving makes life in possibly one of next season's best divisions a little easier because Miami will have to adjust to a new coach and system.
  14. Free Agency will decide what they do. The draft will help, but the Bills might be at the point where they need to add vets at skill spots, for example OL, LB,DL. I am not sure they will find a player to help right away in the draft. With the team being on the verge of being in the playoffs, they will have to pick very wisely. My Prediction: OL or LB. I would say TE, but there is no one worth taking that high this year
  15. Something fishy, no pun intended, is happening at 'Bama. They were played by WVU's coach, and now Saban is not easily wooed. You would think the Tide could hire anyone they wanted, but nobody wants the job. The Tide job has a lot of upside(rich southern talent pool, a chance at a title, and lots of cash), but Saban would leave Miami a wreck, not that I would complain, with a broken Daunte, an aging D, and the return of Mr. Pot Smoke. As for Mularkey, I like how he ruined the NFL's "offense on the rise." If he can't work with Ronnie Brown, Chambers, and the other weapons they have, he should not be coaching anywhere.
  16. Offensive: Peters (the LT of the future) and JP (really starting to come along) Def: London (vet played well ... again), Spikes (he played while not being 100%. Should be better next year), AS(He had his best year yet), Crowell (def really had missed him after his injury). Special Teams: Moorman (he punted well ... again, but also provided some much needed guts).
  17. Jarrett would be a good pick, even though he has some behavior issues. I think he will take some to time to develop, like the Steelers' Holmes, but I would think he goes late 1st, early 2nd. There are two good WRs to go ahead of him (Ga. Tech's Johnson and ND's guy with the hard to spell name). It would be great if the Bills could grab him top second. Maybe trade up.
  18. I agree he has made a late charge. I really hope he keeps growing, so JP can have the consistant dumpoff option he has needed since day one.
  19. His lack of concentration should earn him a pine ride next season. I like that Seaslack (Sp?) guy. He looks to be working hard and earning his roster spot, unlike Royal who seemingly walked into the starting role. His lack of impact this year has to result in the Bills looking at a free agent TE, esp. New England's Graham.
  20. I don't blame us for not selling out this game. It is going to be cold, family events are going on on X-mas eve, and it is going to be cold. Here is the thing to consider in Green Bay: that state does not have another sports team, save Badgers basketball, running currently. You cited the median income, well, this figure leads me to think people are spending their money on Sabres tickets. Who can blame them? The Sabres are very good this year, and people want to see a winner. The games are also inside, which is a bigger selling point than people think.
  21. If anyone was going to move out of the AFC EAST it be Miami. It be nice if the NFL would add in rival games, like college football. That way the Bills could play the Browns and Steelers once a year.
  22. .500 would be great, esp. after losses in the middle of the season. It would be great to beat Miami (and badly). The Ravens' game could be a good chance of a win becasue they may be resting guys. A win is a win.
  23. I like the run stuffer. Tommy Harris in Chi or the guy in SD whose name I can't recall.
  24. I guess I am also interested in football games picked fom different reason than just record and market. I know being a Bills fan I would like to see the Miami game in primetime, but I think it would be a good football game. It be played in, likely, bad conditions and pit two hot teams. I guess I am just sick of seeing the Eagles play everyweek and never seeing a team like KC, Balt, or Cincy.
  25. The Flex Schedule is starting to look like a ratings grab. Looks like in a few weeks we will get Cowboys and Eagles (yeah, the Eagles AGAIN) on Sunday Night. And how many times have the Cowboys been on primetime TV this year? The Raiders have even been on at night twice. No one can tell me at the start of the season the NFL thought the Raiders would be a better team than the Bills.. It be nice if the NFL didn't always give into the big markets. I agree the Flex should go for Monday Night as well. I guess I would like to also see some more AFC- AFC games on Sunday Night Not just a Romo love fest. Sorry for the rant.
