  1. I was just watching some highlights and thinking about which combo of uniforms I like best for the Bills. I own a custom away jersey with my name on the back, and so that is my pick. I am also a big fan of the blue top with the white pants...i dont really like the all blue that they wear at home a lot.
  2. The only guy we move up for is Willis from Ole Miss, but I think that the likelyhood of us trading down is much greater than us trading up into the top 10. The fact is that if DJ and Marv really want to RBBC then we do not need or want a guy like Peterson. I believe that should he be there at 12 we certainly take him because of the skills he has, but we arent moving to get him. We'll stand firm at 12 unless someone gives us an outrageous offer to move back into the late teens or early 20s.
  3. I would also like the trade down but I do realize the unlikelyhood of it. I am a PUZ fan. I think that kid is going to be a pro bowl payer for years in the NFL and why not do it for the BILLS? I just feel like Willis is more of a freak athlete than great middle linebacker. I feel that sometimes people place too much emphasis on the 40 time and the vertical jump and other semi-important tests. Puz is a flat out great LB from Linebacker U and I do not see any risks in taking him at 12 but I would prefer it be later like 18ish. Plus if we trade down and get more picks we could have like 5 or 6 first day picks...NICE!
  4. Oh sorry I must have missed those threads. Thanks
  5. I am going to have to agree with Pepsi. Herm Edwards hit the nail on the head Firstngoal: "You play to win the game!" A losing attitude is not an attitude you want to have. Losing records get people fired and cut. We can win now and we should. There is never a reason to lose games. Thats why the NBA is failing. Teams lose to get more lottery numbers so they can win the first pick in the draft. Picking first is wonderful if you draw it from a hat, but when you win it by losing it sucks. I would much rather be picking the 20s or 30s every year like the Pats than picking first once, even when a dynamic player like McFadden might be involved.
  6. Youboty can play. McCargo can play is one of the nicest guys I've ever met. IMO Our D is gonna be pretty soild. I can see our starting secondary of Youboty, McGee, Whitner and Simpson being one of the best in the league maybe this year but certainly in a year or two. Our DEs work great together and are olny getting better. Our LBs are a small concern. We know we are drafting one in the first or second round, and we are going to have to trust the GM and HC that the guy they take can jump in start right now. Marv and Co. know they need an LB that can start right now so I am not worried about it. The DT that everyone says we need, to me is bogus. We got Tripplett, McCargo, Williams, that guy from Philly, and Anderson (who is not too good, but we got him). Thats four and half...maybe we take a guy in the later rounds and let him and Anderson fight for a roster spot. Also there is Hargrove who kinda played both DT and DE for us. I like where are D is going. I like where are offense is going too once we grad up Tony Hunt from PSU..or I guess Kenny Irons from Auburn.
  7. I could do without Pittman and Ginn and Troy Smith...the Cleveland Thieves
  8. Gimme Puz and T. Hunt and T. Jackson and our needs are filled...and that Weedle guy...
  9. I agree...lets get him
  10. What if Al Wilson gets healthy and is cleared to play? Would he be a guy the Bills would like to bring in if we decide not to take Willis or if he is already taken?
  11. I like the idea Pepsi. I think that would be really good for the Bills backfield and JP. Wolfe and either Hunt or Irons could be a potent backfield with the A-Train there to clean up any mess and providing insurance.
  12. I still like Tony Hunt. He is bigger and played better competition in the Big 10. Wolfe seems like he could be a good addition to the Bills in the later rounds though Pepsi.
  13. Billsvet, I see what you are saying, but thats the facts about football man. If you have special teams unit they are just like the offense. They need to be in camp and learning all of the responsibilities of thier position on the specialties units. If you are not there to learn and someone else is and they are doing a fine job with no reason to pull them, they are not going to be pulled in favor of a guy who missed the learning period. Youboty didnt learn so he didnt play. It is a simple as that. Contrary to popular believe there is so much more that goes into a special teams play than running as fast you can. There are plays both on coverage and on returns. There are strategies involved to make sure your best cover guy can be unblocked to make the tackle, there are strategies in the return game also. There is a special teams play book. The guy didnt play because of specialties. Guys like Greer, Thomas, Stamer, Haggan, Davis, etc are the reason he didnt dress. They were on the unit in week one and there was no reason to pull them. They were the special teams starters and Youboty was a special teams back-up. I cannot remember for sure but I am willing to bet that when Youboty dressed and played on the specialties someone on the specialties was banged up to the point where the coaches thought Youboty would be more effective, and once whoever he was filling in for was back to heathy, Youboty was benched because he was not a special teams starter. It has nothing to do with talent. Plus, maybe he is not a good special teamer. I assure you that I am not blowing smoke. I understand that a guy with as much talent as Youboty not dressing because of special teams is hard to grasp for some people but its the truth. There is no two ways about it. A third or fourth corner must be a special teams starter, and if that guy is not good enough for specialties, or if he missed the learning curve for specialties then he isnt going to play on Sundays. Special teams can change a game so fast that you must have a cohesive and coherent group that plays together week in and week out. That is why Youboty didnt play. Not becuase of any lack of talent. http://www.geocities.com/thekickinggame/
  14. Ten Ginn is also a thief in addition to being a glorified punt returner. This is my post in another thread about Ginn Pittman and Smith from OSU: They are from Cleveland and went back to sign autographs. Those three jerks were asking for $50 cash per item signed at a local sports shop. So $100 would get you two things signed. What charity was the money going to you ask? Thier personal bank accounts. That is so shallow. These three dipsh-ts are going to be millionaires at 22 years old and they have to pull that crap? I hope all three are busts.

  16. Here is my opinion, backed up with some knowledge... The reason he wasnt dressing is because of special teams and not his abilities on defense. Being a third or fouth corner you have to play special teams, but just like the offense or the defense, Special Teams is a unit and the more often you put the same people out there together on coverage teams or return teams the more time things go well. Youboty didnt play because at the start of the year when he was not ready due to missing camp for a very good but upsetting reason, he was unable to break into the special teams line-up and therefore he couldnt dress. It never was a question about his defensive abilities it was mostly about cohesion on Specialties. By the way...did you back it up with something?
  17. Pittman is a thief and I will never root for him. He is a jerk and an idiot. I would never cheer for Pittman is the Bills drafted him. Ever.
  18. 1. Patrick Wills 2. Tanard Jackson 3a. Kenny Irons 3b. Tony Hunt
  19. Nope...esp. with the new rules about that stuff.
  20. I dont really follow hockey but I do get excited for the playoffs esp. when the Sabres are good! Go Buffalo!
  21. I dont think thats even a possibility...skins need to be picking in the early part of the draft and I dont see them thinking any more highly of Tim Anderson than most of us do.
  22. I work at Champps bar in Rochester and last Training Camp the day Whitner signed he came in with McCargo Simpson and Eric Bassey to have something to eat and drink a few. They were cool and signed some autographs and Whitner wanted to get a signed jersey of his framed and put on the wall. They also were looking for directions to a couple of clubs downtown.
  23. What is the supplemental draft? I have heard of it before but I have no clue what it is...anyone with some knowledge?
  24. Tony Hunt's highlights via Youtube.
  25. http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr...b/tonyhunt.html Tony Hunt is bigger and ran for way more yards and 11 more tds than Jackson...the stats dont lie...
