  1. Does Naaman qualify for the Practice Squad this season?
  2. I would live to see Drayton back in Buffalo. We have Mcge, Mckelvin, Williams ® and Corner right now. I think that getting Drayton back makes that position much stronger only because Corner is then our fifth cornerback. He is a very good Dime back, whereas without Drayton we have a young buck probably a UDFA in the Dime postion which makes its a weakness in my eyes. PLus, Mcgee hasn't stayed healthy lately. Just for depth purposes it makes a lot of sense.
  3. The best name for a stadium has to be Great American Ballpark where the Cincinnati Reds play their home games. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_American_Ballpark
  4. I'll go with Eric Prydz's Call On Me
  5. Thanks for the write up. Good to hear things from him. I am 100% rooting for Fitz to improve on last year and really seize this team as him for the next several years. He is a good dude that the fans and players like/love. I know I want him to become a top 10-12 NFL QB this year and beyond (for Buffalo).
  6. There are certain things that are just football. At this level, there are a lot of little things that the fans dont/wont know, but for the most part, lining up and running a post pattern is something every team does. Every team plays man and zone coverage, so the D can work on that. Linemen block, stuff the run, and rush the passer. They can work on those things. Technique is going to be a lot of what is done. You are right about the things that Dave W is going to want them to do, but that is a lot of real specific stuff, these "Team Workouts" led by players are going to focus a lot on the general aspects of football.
  7. So, JP was there... http://www.wivb.com/dpp/sports/bills-players-begin-lockout-workouts
  8. I was at a Bills preseaon game when I was prolly 13 or 14 and saw Ralph walk through the Jim Kelly Club. I was with my dad and he goes "Thats Ralph Wilson! Go ask for his autograph!" So, I went over and said "Mr Wilson, could I have you autograph?" I was ready with a pen and a Bills hat for him to sign. Without a word, and only a dismissive motion of his hand, Ralph just walked on by. I've had a bitter taste in my mouth about him ever since. That was prolly 2001-2002. I love the Bills more than anything, but that really sucked.
  9. I like it. I hope they do some good work and really work hard together running drills and just being around each other doing football things. Its very exciting.
  10. This is exactly what I think. I think Coleman/White will be depth inside as Batten will be depth outside.
  11. Donovan McNabb is one of my favorite players in the NFL because all he does all the time is prove people wrong. He was booed when Philadelphia drafted him and then had a wonderful career for the Eagles. He was traded and then slighted by the Redskins and I believe he will bounce back next season, maybe in Arizona or Minnesota, and create a lot of buzz and stir deep into the playoffs, but I digress. I just read this article and it just makes me mad. There is enough hate in this world, I don't understand why people like this Hopkins guy get to speak. He doesn't even make sense. I don't know. Read it for yourselves... http://eye-on-football.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/22475988/29227509
  12. Yeah, what deal? I am not sure we know what you are referring to...
  13. Facebook is a scary place.
  14. I really hope it does not happen, but I am sure the NFL is looking at labor disputes in other major american sports leagues, like the NHL which did shut down for an entire year in order to get the players to agree to the owners desires. That option was what the NHL guys felt had to be done in order to get their league where they wanted it to be, so they did it. The sport suffered, but its back and its doing well. I know I was into the Sabres series a few weeks ago. I think it is a viable option for the league, and I can see it happening. I really hope it doesn't, but it just might. Ps. I dont give one iOda about getting Andrew Luck. That is 12 months away. Can we get through this coming season (hopefully) before we start yelling for Andrew Luck? Seriously.
  15. The goal is not to get to the next NFL Draft. Every team gets to play in that event. The goal is improve each season and make the playoffs and Super Bowl. Not every team gets to play in that event. A 4 game improvement this year is huge, the following season it would be great to see a 2 game improvement to 10 wins, after that you hope to sustain success and compete for 11-14 wins each season. Thats what we are hoping for. Not to get to draft a guy in 2012. Thats stupid. We'll draft guys in 2012 regardless.
  16. Yeah. A 4 game improvement would be huge. Dont you think? Anyone who thinks we're going to be a SB Contender is crazy. I would be thrilled with 8-8. 4 games better in Chan's second season, then you hope for a 1-2 game improvement in year 3 and hopefully by year 4 we are fighting for 12-14 wins and going deep into the playoffs. Rome wasnt built in a day, Neither were the Packers, Steelers, Patriots, Colts, or Saints. All we need to do is improve each year.
  17. Didnt see any Yards after Catch stat on that link. As I recall, I remember Josh being pretty good after the catch as well.
  18. I, uh, know a little something about Cincinnati... I would suggest staying in Newport or Covington on the Kentucky side of the City. The stadium is right on the river next to Great American Ball Park and Fifth Third Arena. There are multiple places to eat, I would say the Montgomery Inn is the most famous place in Cincinnati for the Ribs, although its pricey. I would say you must eat Skyline Chili (NOT Goldstar). If you've never had it you have to try it. Its so good. Sit down and ask for a 3-way, 4-way (Adds onions or kidney beans) or a 5-way (Adds both onions and kidney beans) and a Chili Cheese Coney! If you stay in Newport/Covington, you should think about taking the Purple People Bridge to the game. You walk across the River. Its pretty cool. Also, in Newport, there is the Claddagh Irish Pub which is one of the best places to eat in Cincinnati along with the Hofbrauhaus as someone else mentioned. The fans there are great. They understand that their team sucks, like ours so they leave us Bills fans alone. There was certainly some friendly bickering when I went last season, but I was hammered and probably asked for a lot of it... If you want to stay on the Cincinnati side, I would suggest staying closer to the City. For instance, Exit 5 on I-71 is where Xavier University is, and only 5 miles from Downtown, but its a bit of hassle to get downtown. Exit 3 is where UC (Stupid Bearcats) is located and thats a bit better, but honestly, your best bet is Newport and Covington is a close 2nd. KY will be smooth and real easy for you to navigate. If you have anything else or want to send me a note, I lived there for 5 years so I know the area fairly well. I'd be happy to help.
  19. Hahaha. Duke Preston. Dick Jouron didnt "particularly care..." Should have fired him right then. Oh and Trent doesn't like the team he starts for.... Bunch of IDIOTS!
  20. Gus Johnson is the BEST play by play guy out there. Hands down.
  21. The teams that manipulate the board the most seem to be the ones that are winning year in and year out. When you are a 10+ win team, you can move up or down because you have elite players. If you are drafting 3rd overall, its because you need elite players. If you trade back and get more mediocre players, you will remain mediocre.
