I too think stevie has too much time on his hands...professional athlete, father of two young children...to have an instant of free time to think of a funny and easily done halloween costume is just absurd...Gosh, Get Back to the Film and Condition Steven! For goodness sakes!

25 years of starts
The Cincinnati Kid replied to CardinalScotts's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Really interesting post. Unfortunately the past does not mean as much in football. The turnover on our roster from just last year is significant. This is a new team. I like our chances to finish 10-6. -
I started a similar thread before the Giants game and the first poster said "There are 12 games left" and the thread died. SMH I think Fred should be the MVP or Peyton Manning. Go BILLS

Kent Hull Passed Away
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Buffaloed in Pa's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. We are all saddened by the passing of this obviously wonderful person and football player. I remember hearing Jim Kelly talk about Kent Hull as his best friend and saw several pictures of the two together at Jim's hunting lodge in Elicotville. Every is talking about his character as a person before his accomplishments as a football player, and I think that is probably the way he'd want to be remembered. RIP Mr. Hull. -
Lets look at the postives of today
The Cincinnati Kid replied to aussiebills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You know, today's loss was tough, but I love the way this team plays. I am thinking we can win our home games as well. I think we can sweep both the Jets and the Fins because neither team is that good. I think the Jets are way overrated. We played the run well today and if we can do that going forward, especially against the Jets, we should be able to finish at least 10-6. GO BILLS -

LOL SO FUNNY! -
Both Fred Jackson and Adrian Peterson entered the league in 2007, obviously Fred is little bit older, but they both came in during the same season. Fred has nearly 600 fewer carries than Peterson. That to me is nuts. Obviously, AP came in with expectation that he was going to be a workhorse and Fred did not, but I think this bodes well for Fred and the remaining years that he has left in the NFL. Yes he is 30, but obviously, as we all know, he does not have the same kind of miles on his tires as some other folks playing in his position. Just an interesting thing that I thought I would share.

Aaron Curry to the Raiders.

I was an 8-8 guy all off season. That said, I am now thinking 10-6 is very realistic. I am nervous about the Jeckyl and Hyde Giants and Cowboys both on the road as well as the Jets in NJ to close out a 3 game road trip. At San diego and at NE are going to be tough road games too. So, if we lose those five games and win the others (2 against Miami, Tenn, Jets at home, Den at home, and Washington in Toronto) we are 10 and 6.

Power rankings coming in

PFT's is hilarious! -
We do it when we need to. We played with the lead for the entire game on Sunday. That, plus the fact that Eagles can't stop the run, there was no reason to risk throwing a long ball that could get picked by a free safety or one of their corners. You need to do things that will win you the game. Stretching the field was not something we needed to do, so we didn't do it.

Fred "Action" Jackson not "Fast Freddie"
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Silvercrw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was Jonathan Smith from Georgia Tech. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_Smith_(American_football) -
As of right now I think there are a limited number of MVP candidates in the NFL after 5 weeks of football. Aaron Rodgers Tom Brady Wes Welker Fred Jackson Mathew Stafford My opinion is it has to be either Jackson, Rodgers or Stafford. Brady and Welker wash each other out because they are on the same team. I dont think Jackson will get the publicity needed to win the award because the Lions are the darlings of the NFL, the Pats are the Pats and Rodgers is the biggest name in the sport right now, but Jackson is every bit as deserving of the MVP. Its our job as Bills fans to spread the word! FREDDIE FREDDIE FREDDIE MVP MVP MVP

ESPN, Hank Williams Jr. part ways
The Cincinnati Kid replied to papazoid's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
That doesnt bother me. He clearly doesn't understand that while he does have Freedom of Speech under the Constitution, he does not have Freedom from Consquence for what he says. Bye Hank. It was fun. -

I dont think we got lucky on that call in the EZ vs. NE. It was right in front of my seats and it was a classic "No Doubt" call. It was a great play by Fitz too. I can't speak for how it looked on TV but I had a great view and I hope Fitz throws that ball every time. -
Pretty funny. Clearly innaccurate in some areas, but funny nonetheless.

There’s no place like Buffalo in NFL
The Cincinnati Kid replied to LGB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great read. I was not misty-eyed after Lindell's kick. I was in total shock. Driving back to Rochester with my Girlfriend who came to the game last Sunday she says to me after about 30 minutes of silence "You ok? You seem so quiet. Your team did good hun! They won!" (She isn't the biggest football/sports fan, I'm a season ticket holder and live and die with the Bills). I just shook my head and said "Yeah babe. I'm fine. I just cannot believe it...I'm in a little bit of shock, I think." She looked at me confused, but seemed to understand on some level. -
I really enjoyed your post. I would invite you to rethink the INT called back for PI in the endzone. I cannot speak for the angle on TV, but that throw went right in front of my seats and I saw the whole thing develop. I really liked the throw and would love Fitz to make that throw every time. The reason being is that he had an open Nelson in the EZ. Nelson was running to the back pylon and Fitz motioned him to move toward the front of the EZ and then made the throw. Had the 6'5" Nelson not gotten interfered with he would have had a very good chance of coming down with that ball for a TD. He would have had excellent position on that ball because he was coming back toward it versus laterally to it (the DB who caught the ball was in the middle of the field). Because he was coming back to the ball and his size advantage he would have been able to catch the ball at the highest point. I personally believe that Nelson makes that play. As I said, I would invite Fitz to make that play every time in the same/similar situation.
