Peter King's writeup on RGIII's night
The Cincinnati Kid replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, that just about settles it. RGIII will soon be elected President, despite not campaigning. This guy is truly AMAZING! -
I think it's good for the Buffalo Bills. He'll likely slip in next April's draft to the mid-20s. Perfect place for Buddy and Chan to "take a chance" on a guy with tons of upside.

Worst Bills Team of All Time Was...
The Cincinnati Kid replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was thinking any team led by Trentative or Rob Johnson after Flutie got the ax. Awful years. I'm too young to remember any Bills team before 1990, so those are my picks. -

Favorite high school memory
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Optometric Insight's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Someone said it, but I'll reiterate. High school is a short amount of time in life. High School should not define you for the rest of your life, and freshman year should define you for sophomore year and so on. Don't let people tell you that high school is the best 4 years of your life, because it isn't. It might be to this point in your life, but its not the best four years you'll ever have. People who get stuck in their high school identities show up at the 10 year reunion looking to pick on the same kids they used to only to find out that at 28 years old that "Dweeb" is making $80,000 a year which is $70,000 more than those bullies. Take it day by day, develop strong relationships with teachers and administrators because they can help you get to where you want to go some day. Do the right thing. When you see something that should stop, stop it, or find an adult who can stop it. Date lots of girls. Lots and lots of girls. You are way to young to "have just one" or to be in love. Live life, and be young. -

Freddy says he is a top 5 running back
The Cincinnati Kid replied to RunTheBall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is a very true statement. Fred is the best back in the NFL for what the Bills do. CJ is the second best! Seriously though, AP wouldn't do well in our offense, or we'd have to change our style to fit his strengths. -
Brady wants to play a long time still
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mark Brunell played till he was 40. Warren Moon did too I think, as did Farve. It goes either way. Some can keep their skills, other diminish faster. -
So...I agree.

You are right. If Trent played a little bit better, then Jouron would still be our coach and we'd be riding 7-9 to Doomsday. I like the fact that we have a Coach who understands that the NFL is a passing league, with rules designed to make passing more favorable than running. I like that we have a QB who is willing to throw it into a tight window when we are down big. I mean its better than running out of bounds on 4th and medium, right? Wouldn't you rather take the chance? I mean, I would. Fitz is a guy who is capable of improving because he is smart enough to know he has to do it. So, he knows he has to improve, so he puts in the time, the effort and the work to improve and as a result, he is improving. Its been written and stated several time since the start of OTAs. Haters are gonna hate, but I think we are doing the right things with Fitz and Chan. If you want Vince Young as the starting QB of the Buffalo Bills, maybe you ask teams like Seattle, Cleveland, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Arizona, and San Francisco why they didn't being him for a look-see.

Just to clarify my OP, I think Gilmore is awesome. He is a really talented player and it shows while watching practice. That being said, he did have several plays, including a long INT that was discussed in another thread (by 5 Wide, i think) where he was clearly holding the WR's hand in order to not get beat. A few other times, I saw him bumping WRs well past the allowed 5 yard "Contact Zone." I just think he needs to be coached up and review the film of himself in order to not make those mistakes in the regular season.

Buddy Nix, here is that Safety you wanted
The Cincinnati Kid replied to JuanGuzman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like Nesbitt. I have no idea if he can play safety at the NFL level, but he is a tremendous athlete. I think they'll get a few practices in before they go hunting for a S. Good to know exactly what you have before you go an throw it away... -
See you there?

My first thought after reading the OP was that Donte was the guy being referred to. If I recall he was a team captain at one point, and obviously felt the NFL needed him more than he needed the NFL. The Player's ego is size of the Pacific. Which is funny because his talent is about the size of Honeyoe Lake. He and others I am sure led to these quotes.

While most receivers dread getting sent to Revis Island, Johnson says, "I love the Island. It's like a vacation spot for me." Great line.

Well at least he didn't say "dream team"
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Captain Hindsight's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hindsight is at it again... The Eagles did not make the playoffs last year. What they should have done is won more games, Vick would not have thrown that late INT against the Bills last season if he hadn't already thrown 3 in that game. Also, they could have been more humble after signing all those big time FAs. All right, my work here is done!
