K.Rivers LB traded to giants for 5th round pick
The Cincinnati Kid replied to sharebear's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think its a good move for both teams. Giants get low-risk high reward guy and the Bengals get a draft pick for a guy they were phasing out. -
Would you trade up to 5 for Kalil?
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Byrd the Skyhawk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would prefer to stand in at 10 and take the BPA as well as at 41. Like others have said, we have too many needs, and I personally think Buddy will find quality NFL players at every round in a draft. He has proven it, especially with last year's draft. We had guy drafted in rounds 1-7 that contributed in some way. This is a deeper draft in terms of quality NFL players, but it is limited in potential All-Pro Caliber players, so I would hate to lose picks this year. Now, trading back from 10 to the mid-teens or early 20's I would do in a heartbeat. -

On taking Decastro at 10
The Cincinnati Kid replied to BrooklynBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree you take the best player on the board, because that is the best option. However, if DeCastro and TRichardson are on the board, and teams come calling, then is the best option a trade? -
If Fitz doesn't improve
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its all about "fit" and team. Saying that Fitz cannot be the guy is insane. He does what we are trying to do really well. I find it comical that people who so obviously have no sense of what it actually takes to play the position talk like Steve Young or Trent Dilfer about quarterbacks. 1 player can only be as good as the 10 others around him. This isn't the NBA where you can 1 great player and fight for a title. This is game that takes all 53 on the roster to win. We have a guy who can play the game the way Chan wants it played, and since he is the HC he gets to determine how the Bills play. I'm pretty certain the Luck will be a great player in the NFL as long as he is in the right situation. Suppose he comes into the League and the Colts struggle for the first 3 years, never winning more than 6 or 7 games. First they fire an OC in his 2nd season, then the entire staff after his third. Say his D is no good and he has to outscore everybody but he has a poor Oline because they've been trying to fix the D in the Draft. Then his 2 of his top 3 Wrs go down...Etc Etc Etc. My point is that if Luck comes into a bad situation, then he is destine to fail. Like Gabbert in Jax. (I realize the potential is totally different) With Del Rio being fired in his first season, that is a bad situation. It happened to Losman and Edwards here in Buffalo. He happened to plenty of players. We have a guy that is producing. We'll be fine. We need to ride it out. -
If Fitz doesn't improve
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What makes you think that Luck in buffalo would be better than Fitz anyway? Becuase he is "rated high" coming out of college. So was Ryan Leaf. Its about getting the right fit. Not a huge name. -
If Fitz doesn't improve
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its a real shame that after all these years, we find a guy at QB who has enough tools to take us somewhere and people who supposed "fans" of the team want to run him out of town. Look, people, Jim Kelly ain't coming out that tunnel. Do you know how many teams are replacing Hall of Fame Qb's with Hall of Fame Qb's? Not many. Its not like you just go pick one up. There are so many factors into finding a guy for your team. Just because John Elway worked out in Denver doesn't mean he would have in Baltimore, or if Marino had ended up in Oakland. There are lots of guys who come out of college with "all the tools" to succeed. It takes more than tools and attitudes. Its a team game. Kelly doesn't put up crazy numbers in Buffalo if we don't have Reed, Thomas, crazy good OLine, outstanding defense, etc. But, yeah, let's all crap on the one guy who finally has made the Bills respectable since 2003. I'm right on board. -
I am graduating in May with a Master's degree in education, and I am looking for work. I recently attended a Career Fair to find some options and network. I spoke to Palm Beach and St. Lucie County Schools because my father does business down in those parts. My question to my fellow Bills fans is if anyone knows anything about the schools and the communities in St. Lucie or Palm Beach County. I am currently trying to schedule a trip down to check it all out in the end of April. Any information would be really appreciated. Thanks everyone, and Go Bills!

Okay, talk me out of Gilmore in the 1st.
The Cincinnati Kid replied to simpleman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would like Gilmore, but I would like Floyd more. I can't talk you into or out of either one. They are both very real possibilities for us at 10 and I would be happy with either, but if I were Buddy, I would be calling Notre Dame. -

Anderson makes Coples no longer in play
The Cincinnati Kid replied to TPS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that a lot of their moves have been because they were the right players at the right time. Additionally, I believe that buddy has been a little bit more aggressive because he does not see many true big time players in this draft. I've been hearing that there is a lot of depth in this draft. To me, that means that there are a lot of nice football players, but probably not a lot of guys like Dareus or Von Miller. That means, we'll be taking BPA at all draft slots. It also means that we hope to not have to fill a ton of holes. -
[closed]Bills quietly re-sign Scott
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love bringing Scott back. Don't worry about Freddy. There is plenty of money for him. He'll get paid by the time they go to camp. Buddy said so last week. -

Buddy Nix GM of the Year?
The Cincinnati Kid replied to DC Grid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Elway has done a lot of good for Denver...he got Peyton and sent Tebow packing...Both excellent moves for that franchise. -
Buddy Nix GM of the Year?

I think he has a solid lead with Elway close behind... -
So, of the 17, which 8 would you cut? DEs Mark Anderson Danny Batten Lionel Dotson Robert Eddins (Sorry, I forgot to post him initially...human error...) Spencer Johnson Chris Kelsay Shawne Marriman Kyle Moore Mario Williams Alex Carrington DTs Marcell Dareus Dwan Edwards Jarron Gilbert Kellen Heard Jay Ross Torell Troup Kyle Williams

I want Floyd. What makes you think the Bills wouldn't love Floyd opposite Stevie, just like the Bengals would love him opposite Green? Secondly, I do not want to draft a "guy with potential." I want to draft a guy who is what we think he is. I like Luck better than Griffen. I know what Luck is, I know what Potential Griffen has. I like Floyd more than Stephan Hill. I know what Floyd is, I know the potential Hill has. I don't want to take anyone who hasn't reached their potential, because, they might not reach it, like Losman, Mike Williams, Erik Flowers, etc.

Sign Roscoe Parrish, he is still looking
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Chuckknox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd rather that he and the bills part ways. Nothing personal, I just really think he has nothing to offer this team that somebody else who is already under contract doesnt. Spiller will punt return, Nelson will be the slot guy. Neither will be a lock for IR.
