  1. I saw him on a CFL roster a few months ago.
  2. I think its funny that people are citing Byrd's lack of experience in the new system. He has had a new DC 3 times in his career, if I remember right. Fewell, Edwards and Wannstedt. Byrd is a great safety, and clearly has no problem playing well regardless of the scheme. To cite lack of experience in the new system is ridiculous.
  3. He should. This guy is Bruce Smith 2.0. Amazing player.
  4. I just can't believe that Ryan Nassib is being talked about as a franchise NFL quarterback... Damn. According to BBBlog, one guy has Nassib as his top OVERALL prospect. WTF man. I just don't know what to make of it all.
  5. Just remembered this as well. In May 2012, ESPN fired a writer named Sarah Phillips who apparently did not exist either... http://deadspin.com/5907079/another-sarah-phillips-scam-im-a-writer-for-espn-and-i-plan-to-take-over-the-world
  6. Without having read the thread, I just have to say that this story is one of the most bizarre and crazy things I have ever heard in my life. Just so strange and out there...
  7. Murry is staying at Georgia. I was really bummed to hear that.
  8. I like the Tressel and Sweeney idea, although, I don't think Dabo would leave Clemson for a Coordinator job.
  9. I'd like Zimmer. He seems like a great Coach and we need to fix the Defense. There is something very wrong with it. All that said, we have the weapons on offense (minus an above average QB) to compete if we utilize them right. A defensive guy and a conservative guy would be my choice.
  10. I am in favor of keeping just about everyone. Like the OP said, some changes need to be made, but I think there is a plan, and I think its a solid one. I think that starting over now will just prolong whats now been 13 years. I believe that Chan and company are on the right track as long as they draft well and play FA well. We need to resign Byrd and Levitre. We need a real MLB. We need to get another WR for Stevie (although I think David Nelson's injury was a bigger deal than some make it). I also think if next years team doesn't get to 10 wins, then we need to overhaul everything.
  11. I would bet that there are times when an team will use the Kill call and it means nothing at all. Omaha for the Giants means the snap is playclock is low and the snap should come...although, a 3 syllable word for the playclock is about to expire is rather long...
  12. I really think Nelson going down was the worst thing that happened to this team. He is so good in the slot and a big body to throw to that losing him really hurt Fitz's timing and trust of the slot. Also, I think the way to build a team is through the draft and resigning your good players. Byrd, Levitre, Wood, etc are guys we have to hold on to no matter what. Fitz will be the guy again next year only because that D needs a better group of LBs. Barnett's best days are behind him, Brandham has potential, but Sheppard is a backup. We need to get stronger up the middle on D and it starts with a MLB. QB is the First Round is 2014.
  13. Hey...I live near Dayton...
  14. This board is fun.
  15. This is really ground-breaking stuff here... Thanks for posting.
  16. I dunno, but I'll be there! GO BILLS!
  17. I mean, its really dangerous.
  18. The Quarterback doesn't throw to a player, he throws to the route that will be open. Fitz said that his presnap read determined that TJ's route was the route with the best chance for success. He threw the route based on coverage. Not to TJ because he "thought it would catch the Pats offguard."
  19. Well...I'd say that giving up 37 points was the reason for the loss. Maybe Fred's fumble at the goal line. Could have been that TJ ran the wrong route. Maybe if we stop NE and force more than 1 or 2 punts. But you are right. This game is all on Fitz. Clearly he didn't play well enough. That much was obvious.
  20. Stay the course...thats what they say in Houston...How many time were people calling for Kubiak's head? With a little time and some quality drafts, they've built themselves a pretty good football team. The Steelers never fire coaches and they've done ok. Unfortunately nothing is an overnight fix. We can't relate a winning team to instant gratification that we're all so used to in today's cyber world.
  21. Funny. Thanks for the laugh. Good work as well!
