  1. I really think we have to think Tom Brady will end up coaching a team. Definitely not the Raiders, but maybe the Jets or Saints? Of course, he will continue to be an owner of the Raiders, obviously. He will also continue to work games for Fox. He will coach the team and call the game simultaneously. What the hell are they doing on those headsets anyway? Look, teams have to ask themselves “Are the people getting enough Tom Brady?” And if they believe the answer is a no, then they’ll hire TB12. (For those of you who need it, this is sarcasm.)
  2. Orlovsky really working hard to get that 11th yard in the endzones.
  3. Hines Ward doesn’t deserve to be anywhere near the HoF.
  4. This is a great podcast. Have listened to all 4 episodes and they are great. Such a fun listen!!
  5. At the highest levels the DBs are taught how to properly tackle using their bodies to go through the ball carrier so they don’t blow out their shoulders trying to wrap up bigger players. They teach it and drill it. Believe me or don’t. Most high schools and lower levels won’t teach it because most players are similar sizes. Coombs, while the DB coach at Ohio State, told all us “They’re going to tackle with their bodies so they don’t get hurt. So we teach them how to do it properly.” And then went on to show us the tape and talk us through the drills.
  6. Send me some links of DB tackling Teach/Drill Tape. Would love to be proven wrong. My source is Kerry Coombs. His drill tape is in my collection in my office. Lemme know. If the guys playing on Sundays don’t know how to tackle, where are the players who do? My goodness. What a take.
  7. Any of you guys watching all-22 with an intimate knowledge of the Bills defensive structure and game plan along with the responsibilities of each player on each play? I’m not either. Sometimes DTs have to do the dirty work. Sometimes they create some pocket discomfort that leads to a sack, poor throw, scramble for a short gain and those things don’t have columns. I’m not saying anyone is wrong. He is not making the splash plays that have Jim Nantz showing some very fake excitement. But he might be doing his job and doing it well. Without an understanding of all the nuances of his 1/11th it’s hard for us to say.
  8. Personally I cannot stand Jim Nantz for NFL games and NCAA basketball. I know he quit the Final Four, which is good. He is exceptional for Golf and does that better than anyone. He just isn’t good for football. He has no umph or gusto. My opinion is Kevin Harlan and Gus Johnson are the best play-by-play guys on National Broadcasts.
  9. It could be called a 4:25 kick in Orchard Park featuring two NFL teams. But “NFL GAME OF THE SEASON” is also good. …to each, their own.
